Cherry Hill in Central Park is a beautiful and peaceful spot with stunning views over the Lake. The gentle hill is surrounded by cherry trees that bloom beautifully in spring, making it a popular location for photos and picnics. From the top, you get a lovely view of Bow Bridge and the water, and it’s a perfect place to relax away from the city’s hustle. It’s a charming and underrated area of the park that’s worth a quiet stop on your walk through Central Park.

We went during the end of April to see the cherry blossoms and enjoy the good weather. It did not disappoint. Grab a coffee and pastry and walk around the area.

Cherry Hill is named after the countless Cherry Blossoms that populate the whole area surrounding the fountain and spots in Central Park. The Cherry Blossoms were blooming pretty well, though the place is quite crowded and may be hard to take photos due to the crowds. The blossoms are nice though, not a vibrant pink color but a nice white and pinkish hues. One downside is the fountain at the top can blow dirt which may get into your eyes.

Stunning views! Went on a weekday and it was so packed, can’t imagine a weekend.

Great day with a bit of unexpected sun. Many cherry trees are at 100% bloom. Get out there if you enjoy hanami here in NYC.

Central Park Review – Great for a Run! If you’re looking for the perfect spot for a scenic run, Central Park is unbeatable. Whether you’re a casual jogger or training for a marathon, the park offers a mix of paved paths, dirt trails, and rolling hills that keep things interesting. I did a photo run here, and the views were incredible. From the tree-lined Mall to the reservoir loop with its stunning skyline reflections, every turn offered a picture-perfect moment. The early morning light filtering through the trees? Chef’s kiss. And if you time it right, you can catch the golden hour glow over Bow Bridge or the Great Lawn. The park is huge, so you can easily switch up your route to keep things fresh. There are water fountains, restrooms, and even vendors for a quick energy boost. Plus, the vibe is great—runners, cyclists, dog walkers, and tourists all moving in harmony (mostly). If you love running and photography, this is the place. Just lace up and go. You’ll leave with tired legs, a full heart, and a camera roll bursting with amazing shots. Thank me later.

My first time visiting NYC and I had to stop by and visit this beautiful and infamous place. Snow was blanketing the park, so it was quite lovely to see during this season. I also wanted to visit the notorious scene location from John Wick. ☺️

A ‘FRIENDS’ fan will identify with this differently - the song will play in your head and you’d be tempted to jump in. The spot is perfect surrounded by cherry trees and the ‘spider man’ bridge is just near by.

The cherry blossom trees are beautiful. I recommend coming here when the weather is good and sunny but not too hot.

It was a wonderful sunny day. You can come early in the morning to avoid crowds even during weekdays. I went there just to unwind, and really enjoyed the view

Never knew it, but this Cherry Hill fountain is where they filmed the opening scenes of the sitcom Friends, which is pretty neat. It's a nice spot in Central Park for a quick visit, especially if you are a fan of the show.

The park is beautiful and these trees are strewn all over. Ofcourse not like the cherry blossoms in Japan but still a stunning sight.

This is the perfect time to take stunning photos with the cherry blossoms as a backdrop, making it a great spot for photographers and nature lovers alike. The view from Cherry Hill is stunning, with a picturesque scene of the two towers and the pond. However, it's worth noting that this area can become overcrowded during the blooming season, and you'll need to arrive early in the morning to get good shots without too many people in the background.

What a day for a walk in the park. Autumn is the favorite time for many, but the beauty of Central Park reinvents itself throughout the year, each change of season bringing a new perspective for the observer as well as the observed.

THIS is the Friend's fountain! Not the bigger Bethesda fountain further into the park. The horse carriages travel around this iconic fountain. It's beautiful and a must- see!

Such a scenic and calm place outside of the bustle of Central Park. It is incredibly beautiful here, and if you are lucky to come here when the cherry blossoms are blooming, that is the best time.

This place is amazing, lots of people dancing, the vibe here is completely different .The fountain itself is beautiful, gives me a very historic kind of feeling at this spot. Usually my go to spot at central park.

Nice spot, near the lake and the Bethesda Terrace. There's a small pavillion down the path to the west, which is a nice place just to sit and think, and the lake, to the north, has fantastic views of the beautiful old buildings along Central Park West. Continue along the path along the shore and you'll see the Bow Bridge, a bealtiful spot, and continue further along the shore to the Bethesda Terrace, my personal favorite place in the park and perhaps the entire world ; ) They have fireworks here occasionally which can be seen for miles.

Cherry Blossoms! The reason that this location in Central Park is called "Cherry Hill" is because of the cherry blossom trees planted on this hill. Literally the best place to view cherry blossoms in Central Park. There are other locations in Central Park with cherry blossoms, but this is the only place with a waterfront view along with probably the prettiest light pink cherry blossom tree that I have ever seen. Even though the cherry blossom bloom is now over, be sure to mark this place as a must visit for next spring in Central Park.

Another lovely spot to get a scenic view from Central Park. It’s relatively small fountain but it is situated on the hill. You can get a lovely Manhattan skyscrapers from here. And also a glimpse of Bow Bridge.
