What clients say about Frames Bowling Lounge in New York (NY)

We had a great evening. Arriving fairy early, (we booked for 5.30pm), it was calm and we were greeted and helped to get set up on the bowling lanes. It’s a great atmosphere - nice bar, good space to sit by the lanes. We had a package that included some food and beverages and we had a server bring these straight over. He was attentive and patient. The food was also lovely - some pizza and chicken tenders supplied with our package, but they were fantastic quality. Chicken was fresh, crispy and hot. Pizza spot on too. Restaurant quality. We were impressed with the offering with our package and felt it offered great value for money. We enjoyed our evening and everyone had a fun time! we will be back.

We went to Frames Bowling Lounge as a family, and everyone loved it. The kids couldn’t get enough of bowling, and the adults really enjoyed the bar and lounge areas. The curry chicken wings and the handcrafted cocktails from the menu became our favourites.

Great service and food, went for a company corporate event the catering they had for us was sooo yummy the bowling alley literally smelled so good when you walk in I had to call the alley after leaving to ask what smell that is upon entry - so good!

Nice place, ( Maybe it's a little dark, you can't see enough when bowling.) But good.

We visited Frames Bowling Lounge this Saturday and were absolutely blown away. This isn't just a bowling alley; it’s a full-scale entertainment experience. We hopped from the lanes to the AR darts, and even spent some time in the billiards and ping pong areas. The private lounges were the perfect touch for our group to decompress and hang out in style. The food exceeded every expectation for 'bar bites'—the Angus beef sliders and teriyaki shrimp were standouts, and you can’t go wrong with the fully loaded potatoes and Margarita pizza. If you're looking for a spot that has everything under one roof, this is it. We’ll definitely be back.

I went there just to have a drink and some nibbles, everything was delicious, but have to work on the service because even though we were at the bar and it wasn’t busy at all, the bartender took 15 min to take our order
Jan 30, 2026 -
Service was a bit slow, both food and drinks. We had the Red Carpet reservation, the lanes kept making mistakes with how many times a person bowls. Drinks were watered down a bit. Service was really slow once we left the lanes and went over to the billards area. Atmosphere was great. Music was great. Staff was very courteous. My party and I will come back.
Jan 18, 2026 -
Great atmosphere but service is not worth your money. I am currently here with a large group. We are assigned a waiter who I have not seen once in the first 1.5 hours here. We have to go to the bar to order our food. Regardless of food/drink order and party size. It is a mandatory 18% tip, not suggested. False advertising. You need to get a manager every transaction to remove as the system automatically adds. Take your own order, tip the establishment. Just go to lucky strike.

Such a fun experience. The lanes were booked, so we played darts for an hour and still had a great time. High-energy space, well-run, and perfect for kids during the day. Definitely reserve lanes in advance worth it.

Frames is nice, just a bit pricey being that its located near 42nd street. Most of the menu items rounds up around $20, so be prepared to spend. I recommend getting the margarita flat bread pizza which is really good and any frozen drink. The drinks aren't strong, which is alright with me because im a(lightweight). However, if you prefer something strong maybe get a shot. Great customer service, had a great time with friends, I recommend.

I hosted a karaoke party here for 15 people. The room was spacious and the food tasted much better than I expected. The microphones were a little unreliable, but the staff was great and I would host a party again here in a heartbeat.
Dec 24, 2025 -
It was fun to go there. the food was amazing. Keep in mind that to do the other things there you have to pay separately. The drinks were great.

This is the frames bowling facility located on the second floor of the Port Authority. I came here for my companies corporate event that included both billiards and bowling. The food was surprisingly good, specifically the wings. The low rating that I am using is due to some specific experiences I had with the bartenders in the main / large bar. 1) At least for me, I felt the bartenders were just not friendly, seemed a bit standoff'ish to me. 2) There was 1 specific case where while I order a whisky sour, while mixing my drink, another customer approached the bar and ask a series of questions and order some shots, instead of finishing up my mix / drink, the bartender proceeds to respond to the other customer, and also supply that person with 4 shots, and then proceeds to then finish mixing my drink. - what i don't understand is why did this staff feel it was appropriate to serve that other customer, we both were on corporate wristbands, I didn't make a fuss as it was no big deal, but I felt I ended up waiting longer than necessary, why did this other customer receive VIP treatment over me? - In any case, that soured me on the bartenders after experiencing this. - I am fairly sure my company paid top dollar as we had a party of about 30 people. - I have been in the customer service field in the past, and from my experience, you finish up a customer before proceeding with someone else, perhaps that guy was a celebrity and I didn't know it, lol.

Really fun place for a bowling night with friends! The music made for a great vibe and we all agreed the food was way better than you'd expect at a bowling alley (especially the fries!). The staff was very friendly and helpful too. Definitely will be back!

We had an amazing karaoke night at Frames! The atmosphere was fun, welcoming, and they always do a great job respecting everyone’s space — something I truly appreciate. Our host was absolutely wonderful and really helped set the tone for a great night. The alcohol package was decent, though I do wish it included more options. The sangria was good, just a little too much ice for my taste. Still enjoyable! Our only real hiccup of the night was with our service. Our waiter was nice, but we barely saw her throughout the evening. It got to the point where my party had to go look for someone else to help with additional requests. When you’re paying for a limited-time package, you really want to get your money’s worth, and having one dedicated server who stays with the group would make the whole experience smoother. By the time we finally got what we asked for, the night was already close to ending. Aside from that, the place itself is amazing and we genuinely had a great time. We definitely plan on hosting another night out there, and we’ll just be sure to vocalize this one concern beforehand so we can enjoy the night without any interruptions. Overall, a great experience with just a small service issue — but we’ll be back!
Nov 23, 2025 -
Really nice atmosphere! We had repeated issues with our balls getting stuck behind the pins but they were quick to help each time and added extra time onto our lane to compensate. Overall had a great experience.
Nov 20, 2025 -
I went there with some family and friends to celebrate a birthday. Overall the food was good. The soft drinks came out flat we had serveral problems with the lanes. I went to the front to address the issues many times. I asked to get compensated for the time lost. They said it was another reservation right after. The next reservation did not show up until 30 minutes later. I also noticed two other lanes were available. I understand things do happen but it was one thing after another.

I don’t understand the five star reviews but subpar descriptions. I hosted a team event here a few months ago and we all had a stellar time. The atmosphere, staff and food was what I expected when in NYC. Everything was top tier. My wife and I are having a date night tonight and I’m bringing her here. I know it’ll be a good time. Is it expensive? No! It’s relative to its surroundings.
Nov 16, 2025 -
I booked our reservation and confirmed with someone at the venue, on the phone, three times that our reservation went through and I was told it had. I was charged and on Friday, 1 day before our reservation, I called and checked to make sure we were ready to go. I was told our reservation was in and they would see us at 7. We got to the venue and they told us they did not have our reservation. I was charged and there was nothing they could do. I never leave a review but it was so disheartening that I called 3 times to check about our reservation and each time I was told that we were good to go only to get there and be told that they don't have a reservation in the system and it did not go through. Even though I was told 3 times on the phone that we were good to go. Hopefully this does not happen to anyone else but that completely ruined our Saturday plans and it was terrible.
Nov 13, 2025 -
Was meeting friends, for a booked reservation, wasn’t allowed in because they said the reservation was for 12 people saved there were 13 people already there, although it wasn’t 13 people or even 12 people there! The manager was rude! And said we could come in sit at the bar, but not go upstairs where our friends were! I would give 0 stars! Just because I don’t live in Manhattan and had to pay a toll and all to not even see/attend my friends event. They need to do better !
Oct 26, 2025 -
The vibe in the atmosphere was nice but for $222 for two hours in my lane was frozen for over 20 minutes and I didn’t get any time back. What’s unacceptable. The drinks are pretty expensive as well. I ordered four drinks and paid over $350 for them. All the servers were friendly and phenomenal bar staff were phenomenal.

I enjoyed this cozy spot with family and friends as a get together/reunion. We all had a blast and the Staff is genuinely nice. The food & Drinks is pretty much pricey. But in the end you definitely enjoy yourselves. I definitely will recommend this place to anyone who would like to enjoy and having serious fun with their friends and family members. It's worth giving it a five Star. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨✨✨✨✨

So....For the last few years my honey does a Kidney Event once a year at this establishment.. I love this place. The food is always on point. The staff is amazing. The overall vibe is a 10 out of 10. Tonight I was there for my guy's kidney event. Edward took care of us. Talk about customer service, he was amazing. From his attitude to the way he handled our entire party. He was so good...Like I would literally return just because of him; He was polite, helpful and he had an amazing job. Thank You, Edward.... You took great care of us and you understand what it means to provide amazing customer service....I'll be back!!!

We had a team event here and it was pretty nice! Upscale vibes and cool atmosphere. It’s a bit pricey though for a what you get. The food was alright, nothing fancy, and the staff were friendly.

My work team came down for a morale event, reserving 3 lanes with food. The food was decent and we had our privacy. The bowling setup generally worked but with occasional glitches, nothing major that the staff could not fix. The setup menu could use a tech upgrade. They also have a complementary karaoke hour with the bowling package which was neat.

Went here this past Saturday for a coworker’s (from a job I literally got laid off from earlier in the week but I digress) birthday and as long as I’ve been living in the city, I’d never been here. To my surprise, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Didn’t know what to expect but the vibe was pretty good with plenty of activities (bowling, pool, ping pong, etc) to get involved in. The bar charges you on the spot for whatever you order and I guess I get that. Guess you can blame whoever made them instill that rule. It’s the kind of place that looks like it gets busy enough where I’m sure people have walked out on their bill stiffing the place. Pricing is doable yet I wonder if I should bother saying anything when everything feels super expensive anyway. The food that I had was absolutely delicious. I had some sticky General Tso’s Shrimp along with a quesadilla and man, the shrimp was incredible (so good that I never took a picture). I wanna go back, that’s how good it was. As I said, the vibe was chill but busy and for a spot on Times Square (I say that because I hate Times Square as most New Yorkers tend to) it’s actually pretty cool. I’d recommend this for a birthday.

I really liked my time at Frames! They're super professional and attentive to your group! We had a group delay and they allowed us to push the time back a bit to ensure our group would arrive on time. Food was AMAZING (honestly was shocked at how good the teriyaki wings were), AC was fabulous, clean bathrooms, and amazing games! We played pool (30$ an hour -- 4 rounds for us but depending on your level of skill more or less rounds) and we bowled for 2 hours! Again depending on your level of skill that's between 2-4 full games! I would definitely go back! I got the team builder group tickets and was worth the price! 10/10 recommend

Had a great time last night. Every year I book Frames Bowling Lounge to start or end the summer season. My party had a great time. We did miss having the DJ there and wish they would bring that back because that’s the only thing that was missing last night. Music was good but the DJ always adds that extra bit of magic for the night. Food and drinks were great. The staff was amazing as always. I appreciate the manager being cool and respectful about our little hiccup and we will definitely book again.

The bowling part was really fun and was definitely the funniest and best part of the whole experience. For the food we got a sesame coconut shrimp 🍤, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, and chicken quesadilla. The sodas we got were Pepsi and flat gingerale (not pictured. More on that later). The food was great! Thanks kitchen staff! The experience itself was meh. When we got there, we were waiting for a couple of people so we stood downstairs for a little while. At the downstairs bar, there is a cute seating area with arcade games to play! The restroom is right next to it. I saw that there was a pincode so I went to the then bartender to ask for the code, since we were paying customers of the establishment. He wasn't sure. Then, the restroom door opened and he asked the pink haired bartender walking out. I explained to her we had a reservation but she simply said "you would have to buy something here first", in a very dismissed manner. Flabbergasted, I waited until we went upstairs to use the restroom. Later that night, we stood downstairs for a bit before leaving since our night was cut short upstairs (more on that later). As my group was socializing, they noticed a man go to the restroom with one of the group members saying "all he did was walk up to her and ask her the code and he gave it!" To confirm, I stopped the man and he said yes, she gave him the code. <
> The service part upstairs- When we got there, our food was brought out within the first 10 minutes of arriving. Awesome! Plates, forks and napkins were there. But, where were our sodas? For a good solid 20 minutes, we weren't served beverages. I asked the closest worker and he said our server would bring us the soda. Server?? We have a server??? Who is this server they speak of??? I legit paused and felt my brain glitch while processing the information. They, in due part, for asking someone else at random to see if maybe he was our server 😅 We asked him for the beverages and he said he would pass along the order to the server. It never happened 😆 Idk how we had her arrive, but our server, Maria, eventually came. She took our ALCOHOLIC drink order. And, notice a drink there is 20 bucks a cup! The heck? May as well get a pitcher (tip: pay in cash!) When she came back, we noticed our soda beverages never arrived so we told her. The flat gingerale and Pepsi came out shortly after. < > We reviewed the menu and saw other tables with pitchers so I decided to get a pitcher. It was $49 for a berry coco pitcher. I gave her $60 and she gave me back $10. I suppose she decided to keep a $1 tip for herself! 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Most likely won't come back here, albeit the semi-cool bowling experience. The lanes were super dark to bowl down. no lights down the lanes. We booked from 8-10p. We were on the last round of our game, with two more players left. And a few minutes left for our booked time. It was odd to us of a 5 minute warning and 1 minute warning when we still had our spot booked for a few more minutes. After the one minute countdown, the screen shut off and restarted to the main screen. None of us seeing our scores before being done. Confused, our group noticed our 5 minute left book time. After asking the server, she said the time is cut short so that we, the group, have time to gather our things before leaving. < > So our time was cute short because the company doesn't have better time management skills? We all went to the restroom and when we came back, our area was filled with the next party. Feb 02, 2025
