What clients say about Marshalls in New York (NY)
-
I have been shopping at Marshalls for many years, since its opening. I had a very uncomfortable experience for the first time today when the lady at the fitting room told me that there are cameras everywhere. No idea what that means. I just wanted to try on the dress. I was very uncomfortable so i left immediately.

First time in this store for many years. Every time we visit the US we seek ome out. Very few real bargains. Less of the most famous brands than before. Dissapointed for sure.

Great deals inside. I think this is the first Marshall's that had clearance with reasonable clearance prices.

Customer Service Concern at Marshalls Store – 206 Washington Street, New York, NY (Near 9/11 Memorial) on December 31, 2025 On New Year’s Eve (December 31, 2025), my family and I arrived at the Marshalls store located at 206 Washington Street, New York, NY 10006, at approximately 5:47–5:48 PM. The store was scheduled to close at 6:00 PM. I approached a Hispanic woman who appeared to be the manager and politely asked if we could enter to quickly purchase shoes. Despite other customers being allowed in around 5:45 PM (while I was approximately 200 yards away approaching the store), we were not permitted to enter. I was surprised by this decision, as the store still had time before closing and customers were actively shopping inside. My family and I are respectful patrons, and we frequent Marshalls locations regularly. I value consistent and welcoming customer service and hope this feedback can help ensure a positive experience for all visitors in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. 1 STAR- CONGRATS. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

The experience of being profiled and shadowed so closely on Nov 6th that I noticed the plain clothes security, was such a distasteful experience that I returned the gloves I purchased that morning (with a pair of dress shoes) in protest. I bought gloves elsewhere. A quality experience always matters.

I was a loyal Marshalls customer. But I had an awful customer service experience today. I brought back a kit with skincare that I purchased three days ago and wanted to exchange it for a different brand. Stores associate said that package (the carton box that has all the products inside) was broken but I didn’t even open it. I told them that I purchased it like this and even checked the same boxes on their shelves and it was also broken. Then I told ok (didn’t know what else could I do). I started to opener the cream and saw that the cream doesn’t even look like cream and it was obviously expired. I told it to a customer service and they agreed that the product looked expired but told me that they can’t do anything about it. It was the worst experience for me ever. They win $19.99 but they lost me as a customer forever. Next time I will go to TJ Maxx and will spend my money there.

This store carries great selections, two large floors, well spaced. Not over crowded. It’s a well kept location. New inventory is added weekly. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The only negative thing about this location is that once you get down into the store there is barely any cell service. Their wi-fi service doesn’t help either.
Oct 28, 2025 -
This is my most favorite Marshall’s in NYC. The store is clean, tidy with great service and large variety of things.
Oct 27, 2025 -
Perhaps it was the day/time of my visit but by far one of the best Marshalls experiences, it wasn't crowded and everything was organized!! The only minus was not being able to try on a sweater due to the placement of alarm and both fitting room and cashier didn't remove to do so, so left it behind.
Oct 24, 2025 -
This was the best Marshalls that I found in NYC. Great variety of products at low prices, including from the most desired brands.
Oct 05, 2025 -
Great finds. Found a pair of big kids gazelle for $50. Really large store. Fitting room ladies were really nice. The cashier was kinda rude though.
Aug 22, 2025 -
Employees at the cashier (even well over 35) have Gen Z stare and throw attitude every time. Been here multiple times and always left feeling uncomfortable. Had the opposite experience at the nearby TJ Maxx, so this seems to be this location’s issue. Just make a kiosk checkout if it’s that hard. It’s a bummer because it’s very organized here

🛍️ Marshall’s: A Hidden Gem for Affordable Style and Home Essentials Marshall’s always surprises me—in the best way possible. I recently went on a shopping spree and built an entire wardrobe for my dad with brands like Tahari, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, and Ralph Lauren—all at jaw-dropping prices. The clearance section felt like a treasure hunt with some seriously big wins. And the treasures didn’t stop there! I found adorable baby clothes for a friend, put together a thoughtful gift basket for under $35, and stocked up on kitchen essentials like plates, steak knives, and hand towels—all without breaking the bank. I’ve gone back four days in a row, and each time the staff has been friendly and helpful. Even during peak hours, checkout lines moved quickly. Their return policy is fair and flexible, which was a lifesaver when a few shirts didn’t fit my dad. If you’re into value, variety, and the thrill of the hunt, Marshall’s absolutely belongs on your go-to list. Even as a regular, I still find new gems every time I go. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Would give this store zero stars if I could. I frequently shop in this area and occasionally shop here and make the occasional return. This is the second time I've attempted to return something. I had gotten a shirt brand new with tags from my mom but she misplaced the receipt and it didn't fit, so I still had the tags and brought it back to be returned. The cashier called the supervisor who I had recognized from a previous unpleasant return experience with, and she was SO RUDE TO ME, claimed she wouldn't take it back because she "wasn't sure where I got it from" when the tag clearly read Marshalls. I was willing to accept store credit, meanwhile another woman made a return right next to me with no issue. From reading the other reviews, it seems like I am not the only one that has been wronged by her, its a shame she continues to have a job here if she's going to pick and choose who she accepts returns from. Will not shop here again.

One of the most organized Marshalls I’ve ever visited! This Marshalls location really impressed me — it’s one of the most clean, well-organized, and easy-to-shop stores I’ve been to. Everything from clothing to home goods was neatly arranged, and the store was well-stocked without feeling chaotic like some other locations. It’s also in a super convenient spot — just a few minutes' walk from Ground Zero / One World Trade Center and the Oculus. Definitely an easy stop if you're already visiting the area. 🚇 Nearby trains: Subways: A, C, E, 2, 3, R, W, 4, 5, J, Z — all stop at Fulton Street, Cortlandt Street, or World Trade Center stations, just steps away. PATH: Direct access from New Jersey via the Oculus. Great deals, smooth experience, and unbeatable location. Highly recommend stopping in if you're downtown!

I shopped at this location for the first time, and the quality of clothing didn’t disappoint. The materials feel durable and the stitching is well done. They have a nice selection of styles too—classic and trendy. Definitely one of my go-to spots for well-made wardrobe staples! ⸻ Let me know if you’d like to tailor it for a specific type of store or brand!

I just bought a phenomenal suit jacket for 80% off. Marshalls, here I come.

Has a nice selection of items like Womens, kids, men’s, travel, and accessories. Bonus points since it spans across multiple floors. Dressing rooms were easy to use and there's a restroom in the store.

Best Marshall’s in the city. I’ve been only on weekday afternoons/evenings and it’s empty comparatively to the other ones in the city. The selection is more organized, bigger, and better. The staff are nice and friendly— unlike at other stores. As others have mentioned service down there isn’t ideal cause it’s a basement and the WiFi didn’t work.

Love coming here twice weekly on my way to work. I normally spend time at the cosmetics department. Am always greeted with a smile . Staff here a very pleasant and always helpful.I work in a bar/ restaurant in the area and always recommend my shopping customers this location. Thank you for great customer care to all at this location.

5 stars for the first visit. Lovely girl on the checkout. Nice floor staff. About 1 for 2nd. Rude woman just plain miserable and mean on checkout for returns. Lots of stock. Accessories & shoes better than the clothes.

The staff was friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s a great place to find quality items at affordable prices.

This store is in NYC right next to On WTC. Marshalls is one my favorite shopping places where we get items at a steal. They have a lot of branded options which otherwise will cost you a bomb. Reebok and Champion track pants which usually cost about 50-70 bucks is available for 20 bucks. A lot of options available for home decor and deodorants as well which is awesome for yourself as well as gifting as well. Do check this place out!

This is a great store for the area. You can find quick items with out paying full lower Manhattan prices. They are still improving there clearance and deals section but as the weeks and months pass I notice the selection of clearance increases.
