Malecon is one of those neighbourly gems in Upper Manhattan. Their food is the real deal, generous portions and traditional recipes. Go there to get a real "café con leche", or their pernil or egg, avicado, longaniza sandwiches. Family friendly, no-frills atmosphere every day of the week.

Malecon has quickly become one of our favorite go-to places in the neighborhood. Fresh food always, amazing rotisserie, and a delicious spread of Dominican classics. Their rice and beans and chicken soup are packed with flavor. We always do take out, but there is plenty of comfortable seating with local music. Fast service, extremely well priced, and a very friendly staff.

Chicken is on point. Portions are great, got a half rotisserie with a side of rice and some maduros to top it off. Great spot!

There food is fantastic they are fast efficient they also greet u with love n they are very supportive. There food is great. Except one time when I went back for the third time there arroz con pollo they did was salty too salty for my mom n dad to eat due to then having high cholesterol. Other than that there food was great.

I love mofongo, but it needs to be eaten freshly made. If you wait to long, the plantain becomes hard and dry.

I ordered food on NYE at 2PM and I called 1 hr and 45 mins later and I was told that the delivery person went on break, and it would be delivered soon. 2.5 hrs later no delivery and I called they said they were very busy Mami. I said it is 2.5 hrs later. When 3 hrs came I called to cancel. Very unprofessional. They should have said there were delivery problems. I wonder of the person who placed my order actually submitted it. Just bad customer service. I feel if you don’t speak Spanish - good luck with that.

The food is great but a little salty, The service was poor and their weren't many patrons on the day we went. I've been there before and it was great but It was horrible the last time I went. The waiter ignored us. My family was seated early but we waited 20 minutes before seeing the waitress and in those twenty minutes 5 different groups were seated and taken care of. I'm not going back I recommend no one eat there.

Best Dominican spot in the area. The flavors are spot on. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. Great for a casual dine-in experience.

The "Reason" Behind All The Star ? 3's, That Particular Morning Went To Breakfast For The First-time, You Didn't Notice Until You Sat down That it Was Very, very Cold ❄️ Inside At Which Point, I Asked My Party If They Want To Go To Another Restaurant On Broadway Manhattan, Ny. Ordered Breakfast But It Seems As If The Breakfast Was Made In The Microwave ? Never Again Not Me, Bacon ? Was Stuck Together, Eggs Were Very Runny, Toast Was Way Too Hard And Her French Toast Was Hard As Well... Live And Learn...? P.s. Also Need To Work On Having Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice...?

The restaurant I've been hoping for! Their plates are piled high with food. It was a wonderful experience. Staff members were timely, effective, friendly and skilled. This spot warrants your interest.

This place consistently pleases me. One bite establishes the reputation. All aspects showed attention to detail. The employees display exceptional friendliness and inclusion. I'd eat here again and recommend it to people I know.

Excellent restaurant. Promp and polite service. Great coffee, always fresh. Their broiled chicken is legendary - made every day, fresh and perfectly seasoned and cooked. They have the most perfect mangú con los tres golpes thatI have tried. The mangú's consistency is just amazing, creamy and satisfying, with the salt and spice on point to create a memorable experience. Los tres golpes are exactly as they should be, complementing the dish superbly. A joy that brings memories. Warmly recomended.

The best chicken! The wait staff is perfectly fine. It just took a strangely long time to get the check. The atmosphere is fine too. A lot of people enjoying themselves but I found it kind of loud. It was difficult to hear my friend across the table at times. But once again, great chicken.

I love their seafood paella, and the fried yuca. The paella was so delicious. The seafoods were fresh and the seasoning was great. It’s probably not the traditional paella, but I didn’t mind. The fried yuca sticks were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was my first time trying the fries and I fell in love with it. It makes my mouth water writing this review!

This place was the first time I've ever tried Dominican food, and I'm already hungry for more! I went here for lunch with a friend, and I definitely recommend ordering any of their lunch specials. You can't beat the price with the amount of food they give you. I ordered the goat stew, and I know I will remember that meal for years and years to come -- it's that good!! I will definitely be returning, and I can't wait to try more of their dishes!

A true staple! Amazing flavors of the Dominican Republic. A wide variety to choose from. Delicious freshly made juices. Highly recommend

Cozy atmosphere with excellent service and food! Portion of food is pretty big and we got very satisfied and full. We ordered baked beef ribs and Mofongo with shrimp. Very good value for the price!

Food is delicious now! Used to not be as good many years ago... I've ordered Chicken A la brasa & Pollo a La Plancha with Rice & Beans-& they were Great! Tostones were ok- Need to be fresh for them not to be so hard- Sometimes they are great here tho!

Homey atmosphere, friendly service, great food. Came on a Saturday around 5pm and were lucky enough to get seated right away. Other clientele seemed friendly, and the place was bustling. Food was delicious - one star off because I felt my mofongo was a little dry. Will be back again.

The food at this place is so good. It’s very authentic!!! The service is attentive as well. Server was busy but she brought me everything I asked for. Portions are huge, and everything so well seasoned!!! If I didn’t live so far away from it I would come here very often. But I am planning to make a trip here every couple of weeks! It’s my new favorite!!!!!

Simply and delicious Dominican food at a fair price. The rosted chicken was very tasty; the rice was made excellent, and satisfying. The service was pleasant and friendly as well. Great place for lunch. We enjoyed it very much and highly recommend it.

This restaurant is medium size. the staff make you feel welcome. Is wheelchair accessible. They make the best breakfast here. I always come for breakfast I never went for nothing else so can't talk about their other foods. The staff are nice and makes you feel comfortable. The staff listens to what you want and they take care of you in a fast timely manner. They have outside dining for people who is not vaccinated and what to eat inside. They take a CORONAVIRUS protocols. They clean tables and give plastic silverware. This restaurant is kid friendly and family oriented. I recommend this restaurant.

We ordered the mix: beef & chicken & pork. It is not a place to eat good meat. The service was good. The vegis were good. The sausage was the best. Probably .. I Won't come again.
