The customer service here is really what makes this Salvation Army worth checking out! The gentlemen who work at the register know how to liven up the room and looks out for their customers. The customer service here will surely remind you of the importance of community. I gave this review 4 stars because the prices for clothes could be better. There were no more blue tags left for the 99 cents discount deal.
Had alot of really nice furniture and stuff to donate. Wouldn't take it unless it was brand new looking. Prices in store are attrociulous. I just don't understand how donating to the less fortunate has gotten so out of hand. Sad
Decent thrift store! Good prices. 2 tag colors are 50% and one tag color is 99 cents. Lots of clothing including men’s and womens. Shoes are available right when you walk in. Saw people donating clothes as I was shopping. Beware the walkways are pretty narrow.
this is my go to thrift store the prices are fair I have found great gems at this location. the staff is always supper helpful and friendly. keep up the good work!!!
3/25. First time in this salvation army. Less expensive then the goodwill. It's always good to have a good search. This SA had a good selection of clean clothing. I was centered towards men's clothing , they had exciting ties and men's pants. I'm so excited to find men's pleated pinstripes, the pockets in men's pants!!!!.
This place is a gem!! No price gouging at all in this thrift store, and I scored so many nice clothes. They also have a great selection of bags sometimes and really generous discounts for certain colors of tags. The staff are also very kind.

This is the best thrift store in Manhattan as far as I'm concerned! Their selection of goods is great. Their prices are fantastic. Although they have gone up recently, bargains can still be found. Their staff are very friendly and helpful. The wonderful man at the register is always playing old tunes to sing to while you wait in line. Angie is the manager and goes out of her way to provide outstanding customer service. They also have vouchers for those that are in need. Most holidays they have 50% off of the entire store, and daily color tag discounts! Run, don't walk. And bring a bag of donations you no longer use. I'm sure you'll find something to replace it with.
Loved the store, with the exception of the spanish lady in the kitchen area who is so rude. She asks constantly for things to be put back while you still looking at them. The store has helped me tremendously to get things I can't afford right now, however today was really disappointing this is why I'm giving it the one star.
I found these nice spoons and went up to pay for them, the cashier who helped me, a nice black gentleman, asked me if I could grab him the rest on them. He liked them as much as I did. I was confused if he was going to give me a good deal for all of them or wanted them for himself, so I said ok and asked for you???. He joked and said you still here, you could had been back by now. He asked to bring him everything else that was left from the same kind. I figured he couldn't leave the register alone and shop so I went and got them for him. He quickly wrapped them up and put them away, to my surprise when I got home I realized he kept those I brought up and all of MINE!!!! He snatched them all. I spend my time looking for those from the pile for nothing. Not nice, he will be hearing from me when I see him next week since I couldn't call the store. The phone number on the receipt is out of service and google was no help. This happened today June 28, 2024 at 11:15.
It's very different for me to find pants at normal stores, either too long for my height or too
tight for my waist. Only this location has what i want?i usually wrap around my neck to test if the pants would fit me (you should really Google this method
Literally my favorite thrift shop ever. I've been here a dozen times and will always be back. It's the most affordable and unlike all the other trendy thrift shops near by they don't jack up the prices ridiculously. There's always a color sale item and if you're willing to look you can find some gems. My one feedback is the staff could definitely be nicer!
Something to note, currently cash only as credit card machines are not in service. Also, hours posted here on Google maps do not accurately reflect hours of operation. Otherwise, nice thrifting
Despite ripping off the tags from used items, the cashier came up with his own price of $15 and laughed in my face when I refused to purchase the item. While I was shopping, minority workers followed me around the store. It is surprising how your own kind can treat you. My money will not be spent here.
A good *amount* of clothes — very few good quality. A ton of fast fashion (Forever 21, H&M, Tahari), high priced. Looked thru all the suit wear, saw one Calvin Klein blazer, nothing else from remotely nice brands. Very, very small selection of non-clothes merchandise. A couple of couches priced ridiculously ($80 for a dirty loveseat). Would not recommend thrifting here. Employees lovely though
This location was clean and organized. There was some furniture pieces and a small selection of home decor...kitchen items...etc. The main item to shop for here is clothing.

Staff is rude, especially the lady in the counter, she is behaving like she is doing you a favor by taking your payment or showing you an item in the showcase.
The store leaves the door wide open long before 10:00 but won't even let you in until it's exactly 10:00.
Furthermore, the selections have been getting worse since covid started, with prices only going up. It makes no sense because they don't make the clothing, it's all SECONDHAND donations.
Lastly, I notice they markup items such as Zara or whatever they consider brand name (Theory, Michael Kors, Brooks Brothers). I can understand the brand name but marking up fast fashion knowing it's popular for the younger crowd, even when it's not brand name is plain greedy. I'm going to need to find a new thrift store to shop at bc this isn't it.
The cashier doesn’t seem to like white people either. He just doesn’t like people. The black woman working in the back and seems to be his boss, is very nice and the reason for an extra star. Not much there, it is close to work so I will keep looking for deals
This place just isn't what it used to be. The shelves were pretty bare. But it was thrift store day, so EVERYTHING was 50% off. I still managed to find some cool stuff, Even a brand new squishmellow for 1.50!!!
Nice sized salvation army and stocked with clothes for everyone, but if you're looking for anything besides clothes, hit up another salvation army, very small book section, very little of anything else, no electronics whatsoever. Also no men's winter jackets, at least not yet which is weird as most others have them out already, and there's a large selection of women's jackets here.
No fitting rooms! WHAT? I asked a lady, and she yelled at me «We don’t have that» and walked away. Anyways, I took the clothes I thought would fit to the check-out, and the guy there was so sweet - the only reason to give this 3 stars.
Bargains here. It may take more than one visit, but a bargain can be found. Staff is helpful, and pleasant. Large used furniture items (sofas, tables, chairs, etc.) Are sold here, as well as donations of such large items. Open Mon.-Sat.; Closed Sunday.
Love this store on 23rd the manager Angie is the best. I follow her from the other location on 8th Avenue where she is greatly missed. She is very welcoming with a smile. You can find great deals an awesome finds. Just look.
this place took out one manager which was great to bring another manger from another store and she seems to have her clients from the other store she worked in come in and she gives them discounts and they also get stuff before others and even the staff members are taking stuff before the public gets it. I think salvation army need to have more professional people working at this store because this change has become worse.
