One of the worst banking experiences I’ve ever seen. I went to a Chase Bank ATM expecting a simple transaction, but instead witnessed multiple customers frustrated because the ATMs either had no cash available, froze during transactions, or created issues involving missing money and delayed processing. People were standing around confused, checking their accounts repeatedly, and trying to figure out where their money went.
What made the situation even worse was the lack of urgency and support. Customers trust a major bank like Chase to safely handle their money, yet these ATM problems created panic and stress for several people at once. Some customers were saying their deposits were not showing correctly, while others could not access their own funds because the machines had no money available. Watching this happen to multiple people back-to-back was honestly shocking.
At this point, it starts to feel extremely suspicious and scam-like when basic banking services fail this badly. Nobody should have to wonder whether an ATM is going to malfunction while handling their hard-earned money. If your systems are unreliable, machines are constantly empty, and customers are left fighting to recover their funds, that is a serious problem that destroys trust.
A bank this large should have better maintenance, better customer service, and immediate solutions when machines fail. Instead, people are left stressed, angry, and feeling helpless while trying to access their own money. I would strongly warn anyone using these ATMs to document everything, keep receipts, screenshot balances, and monitor their accounts carefully after every transaction.
Very disappointing and concerning experience overall.
I think I will seek an attorney as I’m sick of these big banks not taking responsibility. Maybe a class action lawsuit will wake them up.
This number is calling phishing trying to get your personal information spoke with a chase customer service representative and she advised me of the scam
Security is weird, I am a chase cardssss holder. I got shooed away because I was putting on bandage by the atm area, it didn’t even take more than 3 min. She even said “You can’t be here”. Is this how chase treat their customers? Yikes.
This is insane Chase bank oh, I can call it organized crime with the license to kill they can do whatever they want. You cannot getting any help from them when you need them you're just gonna transfer you for one department to another department you cannot go to your branch and solve a problem because even the people in the branch cannot handle it they need to call to a different department, so basically organized crime with a license to kill.
On or about November 20, 2023 at approximately 10:00 AM while in the chase lobby area at 305 7th Avenue, New York, NY, I observed a female customer walk towards a female employee (later identified as Julie) acting irate and impatient in that, she demanded to be have her[the customer] paperwork notarized forthwith with undue delay and refused to wait for an available representative. Julie, a being a good employee of chase, handled the matter with the utmost professionalism and was able to deescalate the tension and calmly assisted the customer. When the customer left, the customer appeared to be extremely satisfied and content with Julie’s assistance by thanking her for all her help. Through my observations, I witnessed Julie carry out chase’s mission in the utmost professional manner and delivered the services with compassion, care, and dedication.
One of the worst banking experiences I've had. I came in on a Saturday, they said they are short staffed and made me wait, even though I could see the banker just sitting and chilling at her desk. I simply wanted to open a credit card and they couldn't provide me with 1. A clear explanation of the differences between 2 similar types of card offers and 2. Document requirements. As a result I had to go back 3 times just to get a credit card open. Here I was telling them to take my money and they were essentially making it difficult for me to give them my money.
Malfunctioning ATMs. Took out cash and machine never vended it, but it deducted the account anyway. Horrible experience with customer support which required pulling a Karen a few times to speak to a manager to get to someone who could help. Stay away.
Witnessed Patricia (who informed me of a short wait to open an account) transition to Spanish and lovingly assist a visually-impaired man. Also dealt with Shaquane over the phone, who was patient and professional and am opening an account with Chase for the first time. These 1* ratings are very surprising!
Walked in and approached the man standing in the lobby and said that I would like to apply for the student credit card. He told me that I could wait for an employee or just do it online, but his face clearly said that he wanted me to do it online. I felt very unwelcome so I left and went to try to apply online and found that you have to go into a branch. Mind you this is the location directly across the street from the Fashion Institute of Technology. So unbelievably rude.
Wow! I am really surprised by the reviews I see. I don't bank with Chase but I use this branch to make deposits to a friends account and have been here many many times and plan to be there again tomorrow. I have used their ATM dozens of times, no problems, and have interacted with many different bank representatives many times and have never had reason to complain. It's unfortunate these people with 1 star reviews have serious gripes but that has not been my experience over many years.
I wish i can give this bank ( _ ) star, worse bank ever, went there today, received the worse service by latino teller named katherine, told me i can take my 5000 $ deposit back if I want, in front of her manager who tried to justify her action, I have never seen or heard of any business who rejects customers money like she did, those are the people representing chase bank business, services and images, so sad and disappointed.
I've been with chase for almost 10 years, have checking, saving, credit card and business account with them, yet been disrespect like that isn't acceptable.
I'll have to call corporate for this matter, if no action is taken, I'll take all my money and business elsewhere.
Multiple ATM's out of service on most recent visit. Building generally run down. I understand this is a high-volume area, but given the absurd monthly fees Chase charges for business checking accounts, they could at least re-paint the walls in the vestibule with the ATMs. I am moving all of my banking to credit unions – this nonsense with Chase must stop.
Listen, I never write reviews, but I'm so over the VP/Dennis. He is literally so rude and has thee worst attitude. Today was my second interaction with him and it was the second time he's given me horrible cust. service.
All I wanted to know was why my acct. was being charged a monthly fee, so his solution was to switch me to another type of acct. that would charge me double! When I pointed that out to him, I guess he realized it was a dumb idea and basically shoved me out of his office without letting me get another word in. He said, "OK, if that's not what you want, then I can't help you. Bye. Have a nice day."
Go to the one on 6th/18th. Wayyy nicer!!
