I am currently working with FourLeaf Federal Credit Union regarding an issue with how payments on my auto loan were applied. After reviewing my transaction history, it appears that payments were not allocated correctly for a period of time, which resulted in continued late charge balances and monthly payments higher than my contractual payment amount. A loan specialist informed me that the account was under investigation and that I should receive an update within two days. That timeline has now passed and I have not received any follow-up. Additionally, the email address provided for communication appears to be unmonitored, making it difficult to obtain updates on the status of the investigation. Also, tried calling them and was left on hold for over 30 minutes. At this point I am simply requesting a timely update regarding the review of my account, confirmation of the corrected balance, and resolution of the overpayment that appears to have resulted from the payment allocation issue. I would appreciate someone from FourLeaf contacting me to provide an update.

I cannot believe I have to make another bad review for FourLeaf but it is what it is. I am extremely disappointed with how FourLeaf Federal Credit Union handled my recent deposit. I deposited a legitimate government check, issued in my name, and instead of processing it normally, my account was locked for “suspicious activity.” I have called the resolution center who tried their best to help me but to no avail. I also attempted to reach the Chelsea Branch but did not receive any assistance. I promptly provided clear photos of the front and back of the check as requested. Despite this, they continue to demand additional documentation that the issuing agency simply does not provide. A government-issued check should be verifiable through standard banking procedures — it should not result in a customer losing access to their own funds. Because of this freeze, I am now significantly inconvenienced and unable to access money that belongs to me. Fraud prevention is important, but members should not be treated as guilty by default when depositing valid checks. I am demanding a prompt and fair resolution so my account access can be restored without further delay. Situations like this create unnecessary financial stress and reflect poor communication and member handling. I hope FourLeaf improves its verification process so other members are not put in the same position. It is a shame because I planned to return to the Chelsea Branch to establish a business membership and utilize a HYS premium. They cleared $225 of my $321 check but are making me provide documentation for the remaining funds. That makes no sense. The check is legitmate and I feel insulted that they would find such little bit of money as suspicous. I remain faithful to this institution and hope that this is resolved as soon as possible. All of this fuss just to clear $96 dollars is honestly ridiculous. The procedures must be compatible to the reality of the world. My check was legitimately issued to me. I never comitted fraud with this institution and I feel targeted. I cannot ask the governent for documents that do not exist. Please advise as soon as possible.

Not this location, but the bank company as a whole. I’ve have so many fraud charges happen since using them as a bank! Gotta find something else.

Very poor service. Went in to cash some ee series paper bonds my parents bought me when I was born over 30 years ago. They said on the online chat that non members can cash them so I went into the store twice and they downright refused and made different excuses everytime. Said I needed to prove I was a us citizen had a copy of my birth certificate? Had my social security number. Irish passport says I was born in the USA. They just didn't want to do it in my opinion as it was "too much work" and found excuses. Lady at the till was terrible wouldnt recommend this service to anyone.

Since Beth Page federal credit union has changed to fourleaf federal credit union, service is gone down the drain.

Exceptional customer service. As a new customer, I had many specific questions regarding my account / circumstances, and the person at the desk (his name is Will) guided me throughout the entire process in the most friendly and supportive way. I visited a few times, and Will would remember all details of the prior meetings. The rest of the staff is always welcoming too.

My card had been compromised while working in New Jersey and New York. I couldn't go back home. Which was a 4 hour drive. My credit union directed me to Four Leaf Federal Credit Union and said they were an affiliate branch. When I arrived the customer service was phenomenal. I can't remember the young man's name. But he put me at ease. Did my transaction and rest is why I'm writing ✍️ this review.

Customer service at this organization is far below average. Impossible to get a real human on the phone to fix issues with loans, and their website/tech feels like it’s from the mid 2010s- so self service isn’t easy either.
Jul 17, 2025 -
This company is wasting my time. I cannot access my account and they pass me from online chat to support number to branch calls. Everyone just claims they don't know how to help and to call someone else. I've spent so many hours of my time trying to fix their broken systems. They should pay me for all the time I've sunk in their crap systems.

Wonderful customer service. The person who helped me out to open an account was just terrific. She is personable and patient. I definitely would go back to the branch.

I had a 36 month vehicle lease through bethpage/fourleaf. I paid every single payment on time with autopay. The 36th payment came in late. I purchased the vehicle with an auto loan from fourleaf, and they didn't send the buyout payment to themselves on time, so payment #36 was late and they reported it to my credit report. I contacted the bank and got a generic boiler plate response.
Jul 03, 2025 -
Dealing with Four Leaf for a lease payoff has been nothing short of horrific. Multiple calls promises of email confirmation and nothing. I would give zero stars if that was an option.

The level of incompetence in this organization is beyond belief! A prequel: I have a business account and a credit card with these people. Once, I wanted to pay my credit card debt at the branch. So I came with the cash envelope to the teller, a young lady, and asked her how much I owed for the previous billing cycle. Anyone with a credit card, forget about bank workers, knows the difference between the billing cycle and the total debt on the credit card. Well, this young lady did not see the difference. With all that, she acted as if we were idiots and did not know what we were talking about. I ended up going online to pay my card. Yesterday I came with my wife to open a business account for her small business. With horror, I saw the same young lady sitting at the manager's desk. Of course, she could not remember us. But I knew our chances were slim. And, of course, it turned out that we could not open a small business account for my wife because the manager could not grasp the idea of a business model where a person rents treatment rooms at her commercial space. This concept seemed too extravagant and extraordinary to grant a person a business checking account, although my wife provided a business registration certificate, IDs, and she was willing and able to demonstrate any possible bureaucratic requirements; she had a physical business location in the city. Yet, all of this did not seem satisfactory enough to the manager. So, we left, went to Chase Bank, and within half an hour, we had a business checking account and a credit line opened. I would rather bring my money and business to a nonprofit organization than a commercial bank, but the task is impossible! I wonder about the hiring and promotion policies at this FCU. They don’t seem to involve merit or personal performance. Some other mysterious criteria guide hiring and promotion policy politics at this organization. I’m not even angry—I’m amazed.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Four Leaf Credit Union and was thoroughly impressed by the level of service I received. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly welcome. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand my needs, offering personalized solutions that perfectly suited my financial goals. The atmosphere in the bank was inviting and professional, making me feel comfortable and valued as a customer. The process of opening a new account was seamless and efficient, with clear explanations provided at every step. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail and the willingness of the staff to go above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. Overall, my experience at Four Leaf Credit Union was outstanding. I highly recommend this bank to anyone looking for exceptional service and a team that truly cares about their customers. Thank you, Four Leaf Credit Union, for making my banking experience so positive and memorable!

HORRENDOUS. Currently on a 58 minute phone call with Bethpage and ON HOLD attempting to make a payment for my wife’s leased Toyota RAV4. I’m now being told it’s an “anomaly” and they’ve never seen this issue before while attempting to process a payment over the phone. However I’m told that I can pay online. But wait, I don’t have or know my account number as it was never given to me. So how does one make an account to pay online? Let’s request the account number after providing all of my personal information to the 3 people I’ve know spoke to over the past hour. Sadly Bethpage does NOT give account numbers over the phone. Complete waste of my time. This bank and their system(s) are complete crap. Finance or lease elsewhere.

My review is based on first 2 months of dealing with this company and the one service the are to provide. I recently purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle that went through Bethpage FCU. First payment I tried to make took numerous customer service messages, multiple phone calls, as well as talking to their web IT team. I eventually was able to pay over the phone with a representative after it not working online. This month for my second payment, I again could not make online. I then messaged asking for someone to call so I could pay on my loan, no one followed up. Next I called twice over a week, spent 30+ minutes on the phone each time and both customer service representative could not process my payment because their "system issues". On the last call I was told I am being charged a late fee which I made very aware was not acceptable as I have been trying to pay and their company has made it impossible for me to do that. I was then told they were getting a manager on the line then all of a sudden I was hung up on. No one has called me back even after asking through my member portal. Total of 12 messages exchanged about my account/payment issues and not 1 phone call was returned when requested. This company needs to review their processes, customer service standards as well as their website/member portal. Maybe it is bc they are based out of New York but I am a credit union member in Texas and this kind of service would be unacceptable. I have learned my lesson with doing loans with out of state banks who do not care about their customers.

It's shocking this place can call itself a bank or anything related. Definitely don't get a mortgage here. They will illegally try to foreclose on you and it's up to you to prove you've been paying. Months of arguing over the phone. I file a complaint with various state departments weekly. Update 10/10/2024 Just to be clear. The problems with this dumpster fire of a "bank" started three years prior to this review. My mom passed leaving me with an assumable mortgage held by bfcu. The first calls to some unhinged "manager" were outright hostile with language like "we'll recall the loan" "you don't know what you are talking about" as I was reading the transfer assumption clause from the mortgage rider back to him. (I have recordings of this and many calls to incompetent reps) Next when they realize my mother has died they promptly emptied her bank account in full towards the loan principal, sure fine, but that account was subject to probate and neither I or any other inhertant had yet access to it and for that matter as part of probate bethpage probably didn't legally have a right to touch it. Moving on.... Finally get things "settled". Next hurdle is I can't change the mailing address to said mortgage account. Why? Haven't gotten the same answer twice from anyone over there. Finally in anger I write this review 3years into the saga and next thing some Susan Chandler is blowing up my phone asking me to take down the review. So an employee either directed by bfcu or on their own accord looked up my information god knows where and how and decides to call me in some "clutching my pearls" tone. You're joking right?

I recently applied for a HELOC with Bethpage Federal Credit Union, and unfortunately, it has been a very disappointing experience. They initiated the process, including a hard credit check, which understandably caused my credit score to drop. That would have been fine if I’d gotten the loan for my intended purpose – remodeling my garage. But after the hard credit check, they informed me that part of the loan would be used to pay off my credit card debt, something they failed to disclose from the start. Had I known this condition upfront, I wouldn't have proceeded. It feels like they hooked me into the process, dropped my credit score, and then revealed this critical condition, completely defeating the purpose of the loan. Now, with a lower credit score, I’m unsure if I’ll even get approved by other lenders. This is not how you build trust or do business with clients. I hope no one else has to go through this. If you’re considering a HELOC with Bethpage, think twice and be sure to ask all the right questions. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.

My mom has an cds. they sent her a letter few days before the maturity and gave her 7 grace calendar days to renew. In the past they would forward a slip with options, now you have to call. I called the 1800 number , they did not want to provide us with the mail address.. They can't do so. The CD rates is so crazy low. I am making my mom move her accounts out of this bank.

Idk, I had an excellent experience today at BFCU? Christian was extremely business oriented, polite, & efficient. His assistance & knowledge on the questions that I did have were all met by him. In a world of absolutely no customer service, Christian was on point. I almost forgot what decade I was in! He gave me his business card so he could assist me with my near future goals. I am so looking forward to working with him! BFCU, please, I hope you recognize & take care of this great employee of yours. He has a great long term career with you. I am so please I ignored the 3.5 stars rating on this business & took the chance. FYI, I am writing under another Gmail account. I don't need to announce where I bank at. BFCU, just know that I stopped by a little after 1pm today. You can look up who, but it was I that opened the accounts with Christian at that time. Thank you.

I am having a pitiful experience with Bethpage Federal Credit Union. After speaking to multiple representatives, including one, Veronica, I figured out that they made up policies for wiring funds in order to prevent me from effectuating a wire. When I spoke with a "resolutions" rep., he confirmed that the policies she stated didn't exist. I figured as much, given that when I asked Veronica where I could find the policies (which all sounded arbitrary and illogical), she said she didn't know. I don't think these people realize that the more difficult they make it for me to access my funds, the more determined I become to not only access them - but close my account entirely so that I never have to do business with them again. Hours and (work) hours later, I am on my third attempt to do a simple, straightforward wire.

Absolutely AWFUL. I'm closing my savings account. They make it unbelievably hard to access MY money or do anything really. The app is useless. I've gotten locked out at least 5 times because someone has tried to access my account, however I have never received any alerts regarding suspicious behavior. The app also does not allow me to create a new account. I needed to transfer money to an outside account so I linked them (or so I thought). However, you can't actually transfer money to outside accounts. You have to Zelle yourself but you can only do that if you have a checking account. I tried to do that because there is an option to do so on the app. However, I kept getting error messages. I called customer support and they can't set up accounts over the phone. So because I am not able to make a new account through the app OR through their webpage, OR through customer service, I have to go in person. I live in NYC and the only branch is in Chelsea which is super inconvenient to get to. I had 3 bank checks issued when I was moving to a new apartment but it fell through so I needed to cancel the checks. Again I called customer service, I told them they were BANK ISSUED checks and the woman walked me through all the steps. After 25-30 minutes, she tells me due to their policy, they cannot cancel bank issued checks on the phone and I would have to go to a branch in person. Clearly, their employees don't even know their own company policies. I went to the Chelsea branch and it took over an hour for someone to cancel 3 checks and issue me 2 new ones. The only redeeming part was the rep himself, he was really nice and apologetic. But of course this is during work hours so I've had to take time off just deal with this bank. Absolutely ABSURD and beyond inconvenient. I don't think its a coincidence that opening an account is easy peasy while taking your OWN money out is like climbing Mount Everest. I understand its a savings account but it should NOT be this difficult to do even the smallest thing. I will NEVER recommend this bank to anyone.

I am on hold to verify my account due to some bad decision from some white collar on the credit union side. Thank for wasting my time, enjoy the bad reviews. Thank you to the call center representative that fixed the issue 🙏 👏. You were very nice and worked very quickly. Big difference from the initial representative begrudgingly reading a script with an attitude who transferred me to the right representative.

I ended up having to pay $300 for a -$10 insufficient funds charge that I wasn't aware of while I was away taking care of family matters. I've never had an issue with money in my account, and I rarely use this account, so I don't know where I went wrong for it to end up in the negative. As soon as money was deposited into my account, they would take it, while still charging me return and insufficient funds fees. I did not receive any calls or emails about this, so I wasn't even aware that all this activity was going on in my account because I was away dealing with family matters in July/ August. I came back to the letters and finally realized what was taking place. I called, they told me that they could only reverse 3 charges. I asked for a manager's review to override it, but the representative informed me that they would not approve an override because the charges are legitimate. Now, I have to go to a branch to lift the suspension on my account so I can bring it out of the negative. This is preposterous. I'm planning to close both my personal and business accounts as soon as possible. I became familiar with this bank through my company and I always recommend this credit union to my other coworkers and business partners, but now I'm worried that they might end up in a situation similar to mine. Just be aware and keep a close eye on your account.

It was an ugly raining day. And I couldn't get thought you 1 800 number. I needed to know if Beth page was associated with Priority One and bright star Credit Union. I was extremely happy to to learn that you were. the icing on the cake was the way Michelle helped me. she was kind attentive and very helpful. She made my day I didn't even care that it was raining anymore.😄

I spoke to a representative over the phone, and she was very nice. A friend of mine has an account with this bank. He does not have online banking weird!!! Every bank has online banking!!! Why not have more branches like Brooklyn, NY, or the Bronx NY? Why only Manhattan NY? If someone takes money out of your account without your permission, why doesn't the bank call or send a text to the customer to inform them on what went on in their account? But locks the card without the person not knowing. That is what happened to my friend. Why not give the customer a temporary card until the official card is received?
