I was looking for a place to upgrade the audio system in my 2013 Bmw 750li xdrive. I looked around for 4 years with no success. Every shop that i went to made a bunch of promises and then never called me back or even worse in some cases stopped taking my calls. I couldn't understand why this kept happening. I tried in 4 of the 5 boroughs in New York and each time without fail, no one would touch it. Then I remembered that I had met Stefano 10 years prior when i was looking to upgrade my Audi A8L factory system. So i called Stef at his new location for Auto Design Nyc on West 46th street and made arrangements to stop by. As soon as i got there, I noticed the Roles Royce in the driveway that his guys were working on. He took the time to explain that the fiber optics in the car make it a job that only a professional would even think about tackling. At this point, i was discouraged because no other shop would even make the attempt. He quickly assured me that this job was no big deal to him, but would take a little time (a few days) to execute properly. He sat with me for about an hour and helped me explore my options after taking jabs at me for not coming to him sooner of course (which i knew he would and rightfully so - you want a professional job - go to a professional lol). I dropped my car off on Monday (the week of Thanksgiving ). Stefano let me know that he would be done in a couple of days and that he'd call me when it was done. He called me on Wednesday just let me know that he was pretty much done and that i could come by Friday morning and pick it up (Thursday was Thanksgiving ). When i showed up on Friday around 12pm, there was an orange and black Lamborghini in the driveway. The owner of the Lamborghini was telling me that they had been testing the system in my car before i arrived and that my car sounded great. He had bro2ught his car to Auto Design Nyc because another shop was unable to properly do the work necessary and recommended Stefano (which is the biggest compliment another business can ever give you - to admit that they are unable to do the work that they are incorporated to do and pass you off to a better shop). By the look on Stefano's face, i knew my car sounded great before he even turned it on. And as soon as i greeted him, he went straight for my car and turned on my new system. The difference in audio quality sound is unbelievable! !!!!. Before this i was going to get rid of it and get the Porsche Panamera - now, after hearing it- I'll just keep it and get the Panamera as well. Stefano even had my car detailed and had some scratches buffed out of my car as well while the whole shop enjoyed the music coming from my car so clearly. Now I'm definitely going back to get more work done and fully customize my 750. It really makes no sense to go anywhere else to get this or any other kind of custom work done to your vehicle. I'm 100% satisfied with the work that was done and my choice to use Auto Design Nyc to complete it. These are the people you want to talk to. I came to Stefano with a 2010 Audio A6 to see how the audio can be improved. With a shop full of exotic cars, Stefano and Peter put over an hour into analyzing the wiring and factory equipment installed on my not-very-new car, and developed a proposal for my budget. They were clear in setting my expectations and what would I would get from each scheme proposed, providing me with a written quote, and no charge for the time put into it. Couldn't be more professional.

Stefano and his team are great. They fixed the rear back up Cam and installed a blindside indicator system on my 2012 Subaru. I was a little scared because he does a lot of work on high end cars. But i could not of had a better experience, he can his team took great care of me and my pedestrian car.

I brought my Porsche Panamera to Stefano to get a new radar detector a couple years ago. Since then, if I ever need anything else for my car I have my go to place. I know I’m going to get a top off the line job done at a very reasonable and honest price. Being a female in a men’s dominated setting in NYC It’s common for these guys to try and take advantage thinking I don’t know what I’m doing. I have no worries with Stefano because he took the time to go over every detail of the job and what it’s going to cost and the final bill reflects just that. Auto Design is the place to go if you have any concerns about someone trying to ‘get one over’ on you.

Hands down the best automobile customization specialists in the tri-state. Their staff in knowledgable and have exceeded my expectation every time. I've taken all must cars to AutoDesign for work ranging from custom stereo, fabrication and v1 installations. "two thumbs way up"

Stefano and gang provide straight-up honest and high quality service. I've been back three times for some pretty tricky installs that were handled skillfully. I'll be back again.

These guys were fantastic. Michael Angelo was a great guy, was very responsive to email inquiries and made sure the job got done right and quick. I brought my car to them to detail it before I sold it, and the car looked like it came off the showroom when they were done. Thanks for doing an awesome job!

One of the best experiences i have had working on my car. got an excellent price and install on laser interceptor and the passport 9500 ci. the fit and finish are top quality. the work was done efficiently and the car was given back to me in the time agreed upon. i can't say enough about this place. do not hesitate to utilize their expertise. i know i will in the future

After reading all the great reviews especially from the Porsche guys on here I decided to give them a try. I wanted to replace the nav and upgrade the stereo in my Cayenne as I didn't like it's functionality and GUI. I called and spoke to Stefano and was impressed by his knowledge of my car and his ability to help me over the phone. He recommended a new Alpine 8" model for my truck along with their amps and speakers so I decided to treat myself. The car was delivered as promised and the price as we agreed. He far exceeded my expectations, I couldn't see a single piece of equipment and who knew a car could sound that good? If you are within driving distance of Auto Design I highly recommend them !!!

these guys know there stuff, all work is very professional and looks great. They have worked on 5 different cars of mine over the years. Everything from Radar detector installs to upgrading stereos. I continue to use them.
