Nick and his guys were awesome. The communication was timely efficient and spot on. Nick said what he would do and then followed through promptly. He showed up on time and his crew worked hard and efficiently to get done early. 10/10 experience.
No response re his not using HAZMAT bags, but he charged me over $800 extra for cleaning up a "hazardous" condition. The bank is still considering my appeal. Mr. Nuvola Did not clean my entire apt., as he said he would. Mr. Nuvola's response, to my review is a lie. He writes "Please note, a business can not process a payment from a credit card without a TAX IDENTIFICATION number". Absolutely true, if he were using a business credit card with his business name, "The Standard Clean Outs", on it. His credit card account is a personal account, named "Nicholas Nuvola" and not his business's name. So he doesn't need a Tax ID and the government is unaware that money coming into the Nicholas Nuvola credit card account is for taxable work. In his response, Mr. Nuvola cites DBA (doing business as). Now, when anyone looks at their credit card statement it gives the company name, like Amazon, and Not Jeff Bezos. Why doesn't Mr. Nuvola use his company's name? I read online that a business's use of a personal credit card is frowned upon because of the possibility of comingling personal and business funds. Moving on, the only hazardous waste we discussed was the roaches. I would like him to be specific as to what other hazardous waste he removed. Also, I don't believe he ever tried to contact me, as he said in his response. The clean out service that I used after Mr Nuvola's charged only a little over a thousand dollars, with tax, to clean out my apartment. This included a $100 hazardous material surcharge. Nicholas Nuvola, owner of "The Standard Clean Outs", lied to me. After he saw the many photos that I sent him of the trash that was in every room and hallway of my small apartment, he said he could clean out the entire apartment in one visit for $1100 plus tax. He didn't! He only removed 1/4 of what needed to be removed. He also told me that since my apartment had roaches the job became a hazardous removal situation and the price would now be $2,000 plus tax. He said the additional cost was due to the necessity of wearing protective clothing and using hazardous material (Hazmat) bags. Since I was new to apt. clean outs I said okay. I didn't see him do most of the cleaning since I'm 78 and have a bad back and stayed in my bedroom. After he left he sent me a photo of the back of his truck. 1. It was not completely full. 2. There were no Hazmat bags, only ordinary black clean out bags. If you go online and look up photos of Hazmat bags, as I did after I received his photo, you will see that they are bright red and have a decal showing the kind of hazardous materials in them. Finally, He Never Gave or Sent Me A Receipt! I guess that since he uses a personal credit card account he doesn't believe he has to!
Nick did a great job and was on time. He would be the first that I would call and I would highly recommend him. Another note is that he has a large truck which was key.

I had oversized furniture and a considerable volume of trash that needed to be hauled away on short notice. Standard Clean Outs was easy to coordinate with and diligent in getting the project done. They were great and I will use them again.
I highly recommend Nick and his crew for all your junk removal needs. They were a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process. Nick helped us clean out all the furniture from my grandmothers apartment after her passing. He started by apologizing for having to destroy some of it in front of us due to the sentimental value. He was professional, hard-working and didn't complain when the building demanded that they use the service elevator making it a much harder job. He worked as neatly as possible considering the job and cleaned up afterwards. Nick and crew made things much easier for us and I would highly recommend!

Service was excellent! They took all the stress away that you get cleaning out and old apartment. They were fast, efficient, and no nonsense. I will definitely use them again and you should too.
I live in a 6th floor walk up apartment and needed my old sofa to be taken away. Nick gave by far the best price, was great with communicating and very efficient.

I had a fantastic experience with Nick and his wonderful workers. I was on the West Coast and he was the first one I called to clean out my sister’s apartment who had passed away. This is a very stressful time but after talking to Nick for a few minutes I knew I’d contacted the right person.
He was willing to do it right away knowing I only had six days in New York to finish the job. Did a fantastic job. They’re very trustworthy and reliable and that’s what really struck me. There was so much stuff that I couldn’t find anything so I asked them to find certain personal items and they found them all! Once again the biggest qualities of Nick and his workers are reliability and trustworthiness.

The Standard Clean Outs team was responsive and helpful from beginning to end of our clean out project. Nick was very communicative and helpful as we got to the quote and decided to go with his company. Angel and Mike were amazing, getting everything out of our basement and 1st floor, dealing with a cramped staircase and a LOT of dust. They kept me informed throughout, put aside important things they thought we may have wanted to keep, and worked carefully and quickly. We are so happy with the job they did and that it is done!
