Our car broke down in North Brooklyn (just 5 minutes from Queens) and we needed help towing it back to Long Island City (where A1 is based). They simply said "they don't do Brooklyn" and rudely hung up.
These people are frauds I called them to ask him how much would it be to go from New York to upstate New York he's going to tell me 2800$ do not mess with this company's

Called to get my car towed and was denied service after waiting 4 hours on the side of a busy road with my child all because were from Texas. Was told yes just to be denied after hours waiting.
They’ll most likely hide this review. Joke of a company. been sitting on the side of the road for 2 hours for the driver to call me sounding high of his head, to tell me to drive my indriveable car off the highway. After accepting the contract from AAA to pick up a car on the highway. If you’re not comfortable picking up on the highway maybe find a new job. Not even worth the one star.
I stupidly drained my battery while parked at Fort Tryon and it couldn't take just a regular jump start. A1 had a person out to me in under 15 minutes with a big jump box. Prompt and professional! I would highly recommend them if you need services.
I would give these losers a 0 star if I could. Stay far away. Do not use them. I needed roadside assistance I waited 2hours and 20 minutes. finally I was frustrated so I called them. They then said there was no work order for my vehicle and rudely hung up. My insurance company reached out to me telling me that they where still charging for a tow that never happened. Also telling my insurance company that I canceled when they clearly never showed up.
Worst company. So unprofessional.

They gave me a quote of 120 to tow my car only 6 blocks away. I booked it. Then they called me just before the pick up time to say the price changed to 175!!! They are Crooks in first degree! Bad company.

They are horrible don't use them their flat bed driver is very rude and argumentative and he only cares about himself. Service was disgusting and I will never ever call them again. I suggest others do the same.
Called in to get help with a flat tire and was told immediately they do not provide that service, use your phone and google another service. How do you think I got your companies number? Wouldn’t recommend this company far from “A1”
If I could give ZERO stars I would. I called to get my car towed at 7:30am. Was told it would be 2 hours max and someone would pick up the car no later than 10am. After 2 1/2 hours no one arrived. I called in and spoke to someone who seemed incompetent to me. Had no idea what was going on and then told me the driver was doing "maintenance this week" and could not reach me for ANOTHER 3 hours!!! Why not tell me in advance it's a 5 hour wait?!?!?! The way he spoke on the phone, his lack of knowledge of my situation, gave me little hope the driver would arrive in 3 hours. I called another tow company. Will never use this service. THE WORST!!!! You will be stranded on the side of the road forever. UPDATE: I posted this review and 4 MONTHS LATER the "owner responded" with the below post indicating their wait time is 30 minutes!!!! Are you kidding me? The fact that it took you 4 MONTHS to respond is indicative of your lousy response times. I waited nearly 3 hours and no one showed that day!!!!!
Exceptional service. They listens were compassionate. Responsive got there in 15 minutes when AAA said it would be over an hour and a few nasty competitors were not the place I want picking up my daughter. eureka!! They also have 24 hour tow and their own onsite garage so if it is a simple repair you are back on the road and off to happiness - if it is more than that they are prepared to get you back on the road with the best service.

I called only to deal with a hand full of rude and inconsiderate men. they then told me 85$ for the jump and that was okay so i wait for them to get there dealing with attitude after attitude. they even told me i gave them the wrong number and only to find out they had been calling the wrong number. and then when the man arrived he says do you have 85$ cash? because that’s how we run things out here. just like that. WHO WALKS AROJND W 85$ CASH IN NYC!?! this company is a circus to say the least. highly unprofessional, rude, inconsiderate and all around cruel. your better off being stranded.

Driving out of Lincoln Tunnel my tire blew and I called Mercedes roadside assistance. MB said they would get a flatbed truck, not a normal tow truck. MB contacted the provider (A1) and I was sent a link URL that provides updates on the truck’s arrival. I was told it would take 120 minutes for the tow truck to arrive - 5:15 pm. I was surprise given A1 is less than 3 miles from my location - near Lincoln Tunnel. I was a little concern b/c MB stop taking cars at 6:00 pm. Given i was just near the Lincoln Tunnel my car would arrive at MB before 6:00 pm.
After 140 minutes no tow truck. I called the provider (A1) and the person on the phone gave me an excuse and it would take another 2 hours for a truck to arrive. I told him i spoke to MB 2 1/2 hours ago (3:15 pm) and they said it would take 2 hours. I asked why is it taking another 2 hours? The A1 employee told me he was just notified by MB about me. I kept asking why was i told by MB it would take 2 hours for a truck to arrive? Next, A1 employee told me the driver’s truck broke down. I could believe a garage 3 miles from me would require 5 hours for a tow truck to arrive. This company is a joke and I wish the worst luck to them. In my humble opinion, the A1 employee was lying, is an idiot, and probably want to make extra money to keep my car overnight, since they couldn’t drop my car at MB.

I literally just called this place and said my car is at the impound - and before I could finish my sentence senior rudeness cut me off and said it’s $150 to tow outside the impound. If you want it let me know? And hung up.... I wasn’t calling for a quote I was calling to see if they could replace my car battery after I left... Needless to say I’m going with another company.
I wished I would of called them earlier! I tried using my insurance for roadside assistance and that took 3+ hours. They was the only ones who did not overcharge and was super fast. Ed traveled alll the way from BK to 53rd midtown Manhattan and took us to Astoria Queens warned us about the auto shop. He even asked us if he wanted for him to wait around so that he could offer us a ride back home to Yonkers. The mechanics took to long and actually tried to overcharge us. Ed came back and drove us home. He was so nice he even helped us park it since we couldn’t get the problem fixed.
Top notch service. Car died out on me in the city 7th and 49. They picked me up asap got the car to the shop fixed it(alternator & battery dead) got the work done in about a hour it's now 4:17am. These guys are life savers! I mean thank youuuu 10⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
