Dishonest place. I took my car in for inspection and they started to ask for unnecessary parts changes else they would fail the inspection. There was nothing wrong with the shock absorber or the wiper that they claimed needed replacing.
Be very careful as they ask for unnecessary part change of our car. I took my 2 year-old car with only 25k miles on it for NYS inspection. The owner told me I have to change the break pads and asked for 270$. I got suspicious and did not pay. I took my car to dealership the next day and they told me that I still have 11mm left on by break pads and there is no need to change them.
If you bring an old car for inspection, they will charge you $40 (actually only $37) and say $3 is tax. If you bring a new car, they charge you $37 (actually only $10), and they won’t give you the inspection paper
This place always looks to do extra things to your car without even talking to the driver I’m very lucky I was paying attention. I brought in my Tesla for a DMV inspection out of nowhere. They left in my car and said that they have to take out the brakes and wheel out! Because is city regulation never in my life heard that before be careful customers when taking your car there the owners are scammers and they think they funny. They speak in a different language with the mechanics and don’t confirm nothing with you. they have bad customer service, and think they know everything. The owner spoke like he knows everything, but does not. He is full of it and please customers be careful you taking your car for something and they will find 100 things wrong with your cars. I usually don’t write a whole paragraph when it comes to reviews, but they are scammers. They might fix the little things, but when you come in as a new customer, they want to look for other things to do. This is the mechanic place that you shouldn’t stop by. They should close this business. They’re even lucky that they still there. I should’ve recorded everything get a lawyer and Sue their business! I live close to this business and they don’t even care what they do to Peoples cars it’s not right at all, but I know God upstairs is watching everything! I’m the guy with the white Tesla. I hope this business see this horrible review!
Was fast and easy. They did not make up problems in my vehicle. had good experience with them. Most places see a woman they try to convince that there are problems- Mobil - on west145. Watch out
The owner tried to find something to fail my inspection so that I would buy something from his shop. First it was the tires (they are all less than 8 months old), then he peeled my back windshield wiper (also less than 6 months old) and told me that he can order them for me... no thank you! Now I have a peeling back windshield wiper. I want to believe that it was not a gender thing, but the other person who left a one star review had a similar experience. Stay away or film him when he is conducting the review.
The man in charge there tries to look for the most irrelevant things to fail you if you’re a woman. I took my brand new car of the year and he said it needed some fixing. He wanted me to pay upfront. When i asked for a receipt he fussed about it. Like. Who doesn’t give a receipt these days? Then he proceeded to check other stuff than what he “failed” me for. He called someone above him, scanned a random barcode and took a picture of my registration. And spoke in a different language which i didn’t understand. Which is very unprofessional bc it has to do about my car. Honestly, they are very sketchy there. My advice would be, go with a man. You’d think times have changed.
