I used to like them but I’ve had enough. I’ve given them chance after chance even when they got a ticket on my car. I go in there because some moron knocked out my sensor when they were parking their car and I needed them to fix it. They start telling me that rodents were supposedly in my car. I’m like ok... They said they will do an engine clean for $400. I said no, because I can easily get that done for $185 if I wanted to, IM HERE FOR THE SENSOR ON MY BUMPER. Because I said no to the engine cleaning they refused to fix the sensor in the back bumper and was still charged $500 for some error code they found, I guess the engine was too lean or whatever that means. I should have just stuck to my regular mechanic, he’s busy as hell but that’s what I get for being impatient. Never again.

I believe Prestige Automotive is one of the auto shop in NY. The big fello "Mike the Man' and John, basically the whole stuff is professional, accommodating and fair! Thanks guys.

Ten thousand stars. Everyone here is so awesome, quick and helpful. I came in for an inspection and unbeknownst to me, had a massive rats nest in my engine from being street parked. They cleaned it out got me new air filters, replaced my reverse light I had the bulbs for but hadn’t gotten to replacing, and got it inspected in an hour, even though they quoted two hours, because they knew I was needing to get on the road out of town for work. Just really amazing experience all around, I will be back for all my car needs!

Got my car inspection done, and checked my break pads were good!!! Rotated the tires and air pressure. Oil changed and tapped up the antifreeze and wiper fluid, and cleaned my engine GREAT JOB THANK YOU GUY'S I been coming here for 20 plus years 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Amazing place for inspections. They warn you ahead of time about the wait and are professional and cordial. My problem was I got ambushed with some severe period cramps in the waiting room suddenly. The woman behind the desk brought me some tea in the waiting room. So kindhearted!

John called me today because they had made a mistake on the price I'd agreed to. It was going to be several hundred LESS. I would never have known if they had just charged me the full amount. These guys are really honest. They are also polite and patient and they do great work. Okay they are very busy and sometimes the job takes longer than they estimate if it's a big one. But they are great and I really trust them. Thanks, guys!

Decent people, gave it a chance but a shop is a shop, don't usually use OEM parts even if available apparently, needed valve cover, gasket, coils and spark plugs, checked coils they are fine, 50 minutes labor time to change out spark plugs? If you're already taking out a valve cover on a 4 cylinder why is spark plug labor included and or why so much? Also apparently lost my shark fin antenna, cars are left outside sometimes in a not so great area so maybe it was vandalized, also they broke a piece of the plastic where one of the liner fasteners go to secure the intake I'm guessing while replacing the radiator fan, small damages that might or might not add up and they won't ever be liable for. Years ago i also had my car towed to this place to get a new battery, after a few months battery was leaking had to get a new one. Update: Car is now leaking all the coolant, yeah i would not recommend this shop.

Prestige Automotive is awesome!!! They are friendly, professional and super efficient. They always finish way sooner than expected and at a reasonable and fair price! We absolutely recommend them! Thanks to the whole staff!!!

it was the worst experience of my life; I went because of the impression of the car and I ended up with a $335 bill because according to them the car needed an oil change and I don't know what else, since they realized that I didn't know about the vehicle and that I really didn't even know what I needed, they took advantage . They told me that the total was $35 gold and I paid and they did not give me the receipt until the end and when they told me that the car was ready there they gave me the receipt with a charge of $335 and when I claimed they told me that was the amount, I told them They told me $35 and the lady told me that was the charge. I do not recommend that place at all. I felt cheated

Top notch experience with Mike and the team here. I got a quote from my dealer for $6k+ and these guys were able to complete the work for under $1,500.. Responsive, honest and quick to return my car. Nothing more to say this shop is my first stop moving forward!

Great knowledgeable Staff who work with you to ensure all your needs are met. It's not about the dollar but the quality services and skill set offered by staff . Everyone from the office managers to the owner roll their sleeves up and show care. Found a gem in Harlem

I advise, need mechanical work, I strongly recommend Mike at 133rd Prestige in Manhattan. I had a horrible experience at Goals gas station close by on 131st and Broadway. The mechanic’s name is Anthony and the owner George kept my car for an entire month, I had to show up on daily basis because they would not answer my calls! I almost lost my job over this. Then when supposedly the job was done, I still felt my car dangerously swerve and mentioned it multiple times to no avail. Thank you Mike.. now I drive at peace🙏 On another note on 1/9/23, Mike and his staff, the gentleman who installed my E-ZPass which was not his responsibility did so anyways. I am so thankful and grateful. I explained to Mike my windshield wiper situation and he managed to fix it at no cost. He refused to charge me, and I truly appreciate a place I can now go to and count on to have a job well done! Blessings!

I gave a four because it’s between “5-great” and “3-could be better”. Their services is good. I cannot complain about their work. However, their prices are kinda high. They worked with my warranty so that was a good thing. But my warranty ppl did inform me that at first Prestige gave them high prices for products that should be almost half the price & were estimating longer hours (on paper) to do the work than it would usually take. & y’all know these warranty ppl know how long repairs take lol. Why say it takes longer then it does ??? 🤔 However, they worked it out, and even though I still had to pay out of pocket cost, it wasn’t that bad compared to their original estimate. Literally 600$ cheaper. My car works though and I’m content with their services, so I’m not complaining, just speaking on my experience.

I spent over $1,300 to have my car repaired after it overheated. In the 10 years I've owned the car this is the first time its ever overheated. From their garage I drove 3 hours (100 miles) to go home and the car overheated again, and the motor died. A few days later, still in shock, I called Prestige and was told that if I had my car towed back to the garage (100 miles at my own expense?!) it would be looked at but the conclusion of the owner of the garage was that what had happened was due to my own negligence for not stopping when the car overheated. Why does one go to a specialist rather than fix the problem oneself? Because the specialist is thought to heave expertise that one doesn’t have! If I could have figured out that after having my car repaired and being charged a substantial amount of money it was not a good idea to drive it home, I would not have done so! After I called a second time to contest the bad repair and charge, I was told that the car was not necessarily ready when I picked it up but because I had expressed that I wanted to go home as soon as possible, I was told "Your car is ready", and given my car back to drive home! Since I am not a mechanic, I will never know how my car was repaired and what happened but when it comes to communicating with a client, I can say with absolute confidence that Prestige failed. Had I been told that the mechanic thought that the car was not ready and needed more test driving, I would never have risked losing the only car I had.

I basically got robbed $178 I went to the shop to get my AC system repaired and the first thing I told them but don’t just add refrigerant the system has other issues. But they just did that and charged me money. Ac starts blowing out hot air in less that 5min. I took the car back 4 times and they couldn’t take me. The fifth time I went there at 8:45Am and the guy told me that I should have been there at 8Am. No apologies for my troubles or nothing. I asked for a refund, they refused to give me. Bottom line is I would be careful with their service and cash grab because clearly that’s their thing. Good luck.

Mike and his team are great, and they took really attentive care of my car. My ten year old car has low mileage but plenty of wear & tear from NYC driving and parking, and they did a great job of restoring it to good/safe working condition. Most impressive of all: I found a hack online to repair my leaking oil pan, and Mike was willing to give it a try (he gave no promises, but his willingness to try something new saved me hundreds of dollars). It can be a little confusing dealing with the garage's lack of parking, but once you figure that out, you can be assured you'll be well taken care of.

Prestige Automotive was great to work with when we had new A/S tires installed! They received our shipment from TireRack.com, held the tires for a few days before we could bring our car in, then did a full installation (new valve stems & computer spin balancing), as well as swapped our newest old tire onto our full-size spare tire rim, all for a very reasonable price. Their workmanship is professional and efficient. The front desk staff is extremely courteous and helpful. There is also a very pleasant waiting area, which is highly unusual for NYC!

So pleased! They Lifted the car and showed me what my issues were with my car leak. They also showed me other issues to be aware of that could be troublesome down the line. Mike the manager was great to explain the parts being replaced and why Mike Was transparent, not pushy but professional. Even drew a diagram of some parts to explain how some of the car parts worked I feel confident in their work and would definitely recomend them and go back. Tried them based on excellent Yelp rating and wasn't disappointed! Mike, the manager, is super professional and helpful. Office staff are very pleasant as well. This shop did a difficult wheel bearing job for me and came in slightly under budget, as well as more mundane things like a parking brake and swapping summer/winter tires. Highly recommend!

I don't write many reviews but this place deserves a positive one. This was my first experience with Prestige Automotive and it was great all around. The work was completed on time and done well. Mike took the time to explain things to me and kept me updated though the process. Highly recommend this place.

The people here are SO nice and helpful! Very organized system for inspections. I was in the middle of teaching a class online so one of the men walked out to my car parked down the street to get my credit card and help me pay so I didn’t have to leave my class. There is a lovely waiting area with coffee and water. I’m so glad to have gone here and will definitely be coming back for anything else!

I should've written this review a long time ago. My experience here was excellent. I just needed an inspection and the wait was reasonable, plus they had me wait in my car and came out to tell me when I could drive my car up. Price was right and experience was fine. Nice people and a good dog in the office.

I had a great experience getting my 2003 Honda Odyssey inspected as well as getting the broken AC fixed plus new tiers. This was my first time with Prestige Automotive on West 133 street and they were so easy to deal with. The front office was quick and clear in communication both on the phone (Wanda) and checking in (great guy who's name I didn't get). The mechanic, Mike, was clear and to the point on what needed to be done and how long it would take. The entire experience was 5 stars plus. I'll be back for next inspection for sure and for additional repairs if needed.

I highly recommend Prestige. They have serviced my car four or five times in the past 18 months (it's a 2007 Subaru Outback with more than 190,000 miles on it) at more reasonable prices than the midtown garage I used to go to. They are also very flexible about keeping my car until I have time to come pick it up. But it is my most recent experience that prompts me to write this review. I am getting ready to get rid of my car and was hearing a troubling rough noise and vibration whenever the car was running that made me worry the car might stall at any moment. I took the car to Prestige and told Mike that I couldn't spend much money on it because I wasn't going to keep it much longer. I asked him to do only what was necessary to make it safe to drive. Turns out it was a leak in the exhaust system (which he diagnosed immediately upon hearing the car). When I came to pick it up he told me they tried to seal or patch the leak, but it didn't work. He remembered that I didn't want to spend much money on it and told me that since replacing the part would cost about $1,000 he didn't recommend doing it. He told me the car was safe to drive, though the noise would get louder. No charge. Zero. Not even for the labor to try to fix the problem. I have continued to drive the car for two months and am now about to give it up. I can't recommend Prestige highly enough for their honest and customer-oriented service. Plus everybody I interacted with was friendly, warm and helpful. You won't be sorry if you take your car to Prestige.

I'd never been to a mechanic that told me the parts he inspected were working fine and didn't need to be replaced, and that he wasn't going to charge me anything. I have now. These folks were friendly and honest and easy to communicate with. I'm impressed. [More recently, I asked Prestige to check the right front tie rod on my aging Dodge Grand Caravan which an inspector thought might be loose. Mike had the car up on the lift immediately, and about ten minutes later showed me that everything was fine and sent me on my way. No charge, and the whole thing took less than twenty minutes. Amazing. Just the fact that I'm posting this is amazing. I never write reviews. -- Even more recently I was in for a new battery. Had such a nice time chatting with fellow customers I didn't want to leave.]

Best first impression ever, great service, quick. They explain everything and fixed the leak in my tire for free,. I waited while having my complimentary cup of green tea. I highly recommend Prestige, they are now my new auto shop, for sure. Stress free service with a bunch of smile totally professional service.

I came for annual inspection and was admitted on the spot. The mechanic found that both bulbs of my rear plate number were not working (probably after a bump from the rear that I received at a stop sign a few weeks ago). I agreed to change them. I got "passed" for the inspection and a bill for just the cost of the bulbs (on top of the standard inspection fee). No charges for the labor, although the mechanic had to remove the license plate in order to get to the bulbs and then put it back – about 10 min work. The mechanic and the receptions were very courteous. The place was clean and even a coffee machine for the customers in the waiting room. I was extremely pleased with the service. Highly recommended!
