We've moved fairly often and we always use Big John's. The office staff is on top of all details. The movers themselves are extremely fast, strong and smart. Highly recommend!

We used Big John's for our out of state move and could not have been more pleased with the service. They are extremely professional and on point with the appointment times given. A walk through (virtually) was done to document all items that would be transported and the price quoted was final. There were no additional fees added on when the furniture was delivered. In our research of other moving companies, this seemed to be a big complaint from customers. Also, many other companies farm out the business to local movers (based on reviews we read). Big John's handles your move from beginning to end. If you are looking for a moving company, I highly recommend Big John's.

I have moved many times over many years but I have never had the outstanding experience I had by choosing Big John’s. This was a move from one state, with drop offs of some items at two different locations, storage for 2-3 months and then the final move. The crew, headed by Bentley was above and beyond my expectations. It was a two day process, packing one day and moving out the next. Their efficiency and professionalism was second to none! Everything was wrapped and protected perfectly. I cannot sing their praises enough. In addition, I was charged exactly what was quoted not one penny more! That is almost unheard of. I urge everyone who is planning a move, please don’t shop it, just hire Big John’s

I’ve moved three times with Big John’s. All three times they were prompt and professional. The movers are good with last-minute packing challenges. I was scrambling to pack my kitchen when they arrived, and they did a fantastic job with it. Really lowered my stress! They’re fast. Nothing was ever lost or got broken in any of the moves. Each time the end price was less than the quoted price so they promptly refunded me the difference. Highly recommend Big John’s! If I ever move a fourth time, I’d go to them without question.

I had the pleasure of working with Big John's Moving Company on a project for NYC-based nonprofit God's Love We Deliver. The team could not have been kinder or more generous with their time and energy. God's Love We Deliver's mission is to cook and home deliver medically tailored meals to New Yorkers who are too ill to shop or cook for themselves. Big John's Moving Company has been a tremendous supporter of our work, volunteering to help with our Thanksgiving meal deliveries and assisting us with transitions into new facilities, like our current home in Soho. The movers who assisted us demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and were efficient and thorough in helping us move items from our HQ in Soho to an off-site storage space. This is the second time I have used Big John’s Moving for out-of-state moves. I couldn’t be happier with the professionalism, kindness and can-do attitude of all staff who I came in contact with. In the past 3 years, I have used Big John’s for 6 NYC moves and 3 moves outside the city. There is a reason I keep coming back. In all those moves, they have never broken one thing. The guys are polite, helpful and fast! Many of their teams have been working for the company for over 10 years. They are true professionals and worth every penny.

Big John’s provided the best moving experience I’ve ever had! My apartment had been recently renovated with new floors, and they were extremely careful to make sure they didn’t damage the floors or walls. The entire team was extremely professional and friendly and made sure stuff was put where I wanted it. The move was very efficient and well coordinated and was completed much more quickly than expected. I would definitely recommend Big John’s Moving.

We just completed our fourth or fifth move with Big John's (over a span of 25+ years). There is NO ONE else I would move with. We have done borough-to-borough moves, borough-to-Upstate moves and cross-country moves. The estimates are accurate - there are no unpleasant surprises. They are fabulous packers, and the moving teams are super well-organized. Many of the team-members have worked for Big John's for years, which says a lot. Everyone THINKS about what they're doing, they're not just slinging boxes around. We had some very specific instructions for unloading this last move - half to a storage facility, to be unloaded in a specific order, and half to our house - and everything was executed perfectly. Everyone is kind, courteous and works hard. I cannot say enough good things about Big John's and our multiple experiences working with them.

This is the second time I’ve moved with Big John’s, and as before the experience was great. The team this time was extra careful yet very efficient as they packed up my apartment and moved me into the new one. They were just as helpful and friendly as they assembled the furniture and placed the boxes. A great moving team!

Five years ago when I renovated my apartment, I had Big John’s Moving and Storage pick up and store my furniture and household possessions for about five months. This week, I had them move furniture from my NYC apartment to my brother’s LI home. In both instances, from the first phone call to them, through the pick up and delivery of my furniture they were courteous, honest, helpful, professional and made a potentially stressful situation into an easy event. I moved from NYC to LI on 8/27. The staff at Big John's was so fantastic. From my appointment with Nick, then speaking with Valerie several times with my last minute questions to the moving crew. The moving crew were three gentlemen who were courteous, professional, respectful and just wonderful. I cannot thank Big John's enough for taking such good care of me.

I hired Big John's Moving based on a friend's recommendation. I wanted to move an antique table from NYC to NJ in addition to a few other items. They did a great job and the whole team was super helpful. Maria for pricing the job, Valerie for the COI for my building, and Ben and Martin for doing the move. They were right on time, and were careful with my furniture and patient about getting it to the right places in the NJ house. It's nice to hire someone who delivers exactly as advertised and I'm very pleased with the whole experience.

When I was looking for movers to relocate me from Yonkers, NY to Florida I was shocked by all the horrow stories associated with moving companies. I chose Big Johns moving based on the price and the excellent reviews by scores of customers. I am pleased to announce that I am another pleased customer. The movers arrived on time and were a pleasure to work with. They were courteous and extremely helpful. They arrived in Florida at the projected time and again were courteous and helpful. The put the furniture together (beds, tables,etc) and even helped me put coasters on the legs of the furniture to avoid scraping the wooden floors. I strongly advise anyone planning a move to contact Big John's Moving. You will have a hard time finding a better company,

This is the 3rd time we have used Big Joh's Moving, INC and we highly recommend them, especially for out-of-state moves. This is the 4th time I've used Big John's Moving. They have moved my household 3 times. I also had items in storage for 23 months . I have never had any problems with the moving crews or the quality of the work. After 23 months in storage my furniture, etc, was in perfect condition. I highly recommend Big John's for both moving & storage.

We just worked with Big John's to move my 84 year old mother from New York to North Carolina a very stressful move for her. We got quotes from several movers, but Big John's stood out amongst the competition. Starting with Nick, the Irish sales rep, who was amazing with my mom. He treated her politely and respectfully and did not rush her. He also provided a very reasonable quote, explaining everything clearly to my mother and again later to me. I was so impressed, we signed with them right away. The weeks before the move, Sophie and team at the main office were always responsive and professional, keeping us informed along the way. On the day of the move, Porfirio and his team arrived punctually and were outstanding - professional, polite, friendly - even the building staff in NY was happy with how carefully they managed the move. And despite the Ida storm which had just hit the NY area, they delivered 6 days later in NC, on a Sunday, day of our choosing. Again, they arrived right on time, Porfirio and his guys unloaded with great care and set everything up. Everything arrived in great shape. Nothing broken or damaged. The final quote was exactly what was bid up front. There were no surprises and they did everything they said they would do. This is truly an outstanding company made up of a wonderful team of people!

Wonderful stress free experience. The best movers I've ever had and I've had many. They packed my furniture carefully along with some other items. Both crews were friendly, courteous and caring. Management kept in touch and stuck to the price quoted me...no hidden charges or surprises. Big Johns is the only mover I would ever use in the future. I will higjly recommend them to anyone I know.

Big John’s Moving moved my office from one location to another today. The four man team were professional, courteous, prepared, efficient and on time. The team was exceptional! They would not leave either location until I was completely satisfied that all was complete. I am in the position to recommend Big John’s Moving to other clients. I will recommend them highly. Big John’s deserves an A+++ for exceptional service.

I had a lot of questions and logistical hurdles to complete my move in Manhattan during the pandemic. Big John's was always available to take my call and address my concerns in a patient, professional, and comprehensive way. If you call their office number, ask for Sophie because she especially helpful -- I talked to her about everything including getting an estimate, form of payment, and finalizing a refund amount because Big John's completed the move quicker than initially anticipated. I was also given a 10% discount because my family had used Big John's for a prior move. One thing to note: I'd recommend looking over the receipts provided to you and reviewing the different charges because it was initially unclear to me where some of the charges came from. Nothing nefarious on their end, but I felt a lot better after talking through the charges with Sophie rather than just blindly accepting the various amounts on the receipts. Overall, very happy with the promptness, professionalism, and overall quality of the move and would recommend Big John's to others moving in Manhattan.

I had used Big John's many years ago and had been very pleased with all aspects of the move. So when I needed to move my mother from Philadelphia to RI I gave them a call. The crew that they sent were, once again, professional and a delight to work with. They were punctual, fast and exceedingly careful. And on top of that their price was excellent, in fact they came in slightly under their estimate! I can't recommend them enough!
