What clients say about AUTOTECH COLLISION in New York (NY)

I’ve lived in NYC my whole life. I’ve been driving for many years. Fortunately only needed auto body twice. Many years ago and recently. Both times went to Autotech. They work directly with insurance companies at least mine. They make it super easy. They do impeccable work. Flawless. And they’re honest and professional and nice. Great!

This shop is by far the worst shop ive been to i have a friend of mine that works in the shop ive gotten my car worked on twice and today ive come to find out that none of the employes that work on the cars in the shop get any of the tips and thats sad.

Got my cars first ever damage - auto tech worked directly with my insurance company and handles all the paper work - and completed a perfect repair ahead of their promised schedule. Couldn’t have been easier and nicer work to make the car look new again. Also little things matter - when I went to pick up the car it was cleaned and washed immaculately - couldn’t recommend them more and they have a permanent customer now.

Kam and the team are honest, polite and so helpful. I will definitely be coming back when in need. So different from all other repair experiences. Thanks!!!

It took 1 hour to "fix" my Volvo 240, which wasn't corrected to specification. My front grill was pushed in by a car in my garage but this service never got the grill correctly situated. They billed GEICO almost $2,000 for inflated repair work which was never done. True, i didn't pay anything but still i would stay away from here because their work isn't all that professional or of quality.

I bought my Camry for a new back fender. This place is great. Very professional and courteous, they did a great job and was done quicker than promised. I'm extremely happy with the entire experience. I highly recommend this place, it's no Brooklyn chop shop. :)

The owner is a wonderful person. I had issues with my car and expressed them to him and he did everything until I was satisfied with the results. I can’t thank him enough for the wonderful service.

This team is A plus. Professional, friendly and super convenient. Have been going here for years for multiple cars and never disappoint. Make insurance matters seamless. Wouldn't go anywhere else in the city or out.

My car was damaged by my garage’s parking attendant, and this shop came up as a recommended Volvo collision repair center. My parking garage told me to get a quote from the shop of my choice, as they will be covering the repair costs since they were 100% responsible for the damages. Autotech Collision refused to provide me with me a quote for a repair, claiming that my garage will not pay their price. Autotech told they will only help me was if I was to file a claim for the damages under my personal insurance, despite the fact that I am not liable for the damages to my vehicle. Not happening.

They did a fantastic job working with insurance and fixing our car after a fender bender. Very communicative and professional. They even returned my car cleaned inside and out! I would highly recommend.

I had two accidents on either side of the car. It looked awful. Auto Tech collision is an authorized body shop for Geico. I never expected to get an elevated experience. 1) the car repairs were FLAWLESS 2) they detail your car - I seriously didn’t even recognize it when I picked it up and 3) the staff are friendly, helpful and trustworthy. Highly recommend them!!!

Exemplary service and experience. Every interaction I had was pleasant and helpful. The owner is a really nice guy who is honest, transparent and solution-oriented. I took my Polestar 2 here after having a terrible experience elsewhere. I originally took the car to Volvo Manhattan, which sent it to its exclusive body work partner, A.M. Collision. I was told the repair would take 6-8 weeks and didn’t even get an estimate for over a month, which came back dramatically overpriced and caused a stalemate with the claims adjuster. Autotech charged nearly half of the hourly labor rate and had my Polestar 2 done is just a few weeks. The work was perfect and is guaranteed, which is pretty remarkable considering the owner was upfront about the fact that it would be the shop’s first Polestar (there aren’t any Polestar Certified Collision Centers yet). Autotech is a Volvo Certified Collision Center and the owner confirmed they would have access to Polestar parts, so I was comfortable working with them and they absolutely exceeded expectations. If you live in NYC and your Polestar has body damage, this is the place to take it!

They did a good job and helped me with my insurance paperwork. Very thorough. Parking your vehicle while youre there can be a little tricky but they accommodate to the best of their ability given the location.

The staff & workmanship at Autotech Collision is excellent. Staff member Cam, guided me through the whole process from beginning to end. The workmanship & care at Autotech is second to none. I can't thank them enough for restoring my car to the perfect condition it was in before accident. Thank you Autotech Collision you are the best. Robert, New York City.

February 2022 - I had such a great experience at AutoTech on W 57th St, I was pleasantly surprised. We've all had the disappointment of putting our trust in the wrong place from time to time, but this was the opposite experience. I had an insurance claim replace the rear bumper from a parking lot accident, and I wanted to add some improvements of my own, to spruce up the car in several ways. As a detail-oriented person, all of my questions, concerns, emails & messages were managed in a professional yet friendly, competent, and timely way, that acknowledged all the details I brought to the work I had in mind. I had the feeling that car owners' love and appreciation for their cars is shared at AutoTech Collision...which is really what we all want from any service, caring for our concerns and the quality of the results. I enjoyed meeting Sharon, Danny, and Kam when I first arrived, while the work was presented, all along the way, and on the day I came for the finished product. Mostly I was trading thoughts and concerns with Kam, by email and a few phone calls, but I have to give credit to everyone, including the behind-the-scenes body shop workers who took care of all the work itself. Kam's input was valuable including excellent advice for my decision making. Pricing was very fair for the out-of-pocket work I chose to take care of, to bring my car back to a much better appearance, and to leave me feeling happy and relieved when it was all done. The estimate was super detailed and if anything was different along the way and in the end, it was a sense that I got more than I expected. I hope you'll have a good experience with AutoTech Collision, too...tell them Jeff sent you! LOL

Needed a bumper after an accident and I am so impressed by Autotech's work! My car is 10 years old and they made the new bumper match seamlessly. Kam and company were friendly and professional.

They run their business nicely. Job well done. They guarantee you the work. They are not a phony company , they're the real collision place to go to in NYC

We had an accident and took advantage of Geico Express’ and AutoTech’s services. The staff was very friendly and professional, provided a thorough analysis throughout, and did a great repair and paint job. A very pleasant experience within an unfortunate situation.

My apologies again to AutoTech Collision because my first "review" posted on here was not about AutoTech, this one here IS!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!! YOU DID AN AWESOME JOB ON MY VEHICLE AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

I had to bring my vehicle here for repairs after having an unfortunate incident with a deer (the deer was ok). They had my car back within a week! Everyone I dealt with there was very nice, attentive, and answered every question I had. I had Kam as my tech and he was awesome. I reached out to him regarding something I noticed in my estimate, and he responded back to me the morning after with an answer. I had a few more questions for him, and he answered every one of them with ease. Kam was a great tech and I'm happy he was in charge of fixing my car. This place was professional and I'm glad I brought my car here.
May 12, 2020 -
This place was awesome! They matched another price of an estimate. They only took less than a day and a half. They let me keep my old bumper ANDDD they even washed my car. I will for sure be back here and tell my friends and family.
Feb 23, 2019 -
I've used them twice, in 2015 and last week, and was pleased and impressed both times. The first time was covered under insurance, and last was only my dime, and both times the pricing seemed completely fair, based on scouting the parts online. Their labor rate is highly-competitive, and their work for me has been excellent.

1 review 5.0 star rating 5/11/2017 This is the 3rd time bringing my vehicle to Autotech, 2x in 2011 for my IS 250 and now for my GLC 300, and the repair work has always been EXCELLENT! Staff is very thorough with what repair work is needed. Pricing is good and the time-frame was great. I highly recommend Autotech Collision for its OUTSTANDING repair work and for their EXCEPTIONAL customer service.

Unless geico or some auto insurance agency have referred you here, I wouldn't take my car here. Let me explain. I had minor rust work done to the car above the windshield by the sunroof. It took them two weeks and it wasn't until I called in to inquire about why it was taking so long to finish. By the time I got the car back, I found a noticeable gash on the passenger side of my dash. I confronted the manager about this and he of course denied telling me it was an old gash. He went back to the computer to look at the pictures they took of the car to see if that was there before they started work on the car and that portion of the dashboard was out of frame. I persisted to convince him that the gash wasn't there before and asked for the original camera to retake that snapshot so I can compare the old and new picture of the dashboard and he refused. Kam (not the manager) was able to reach an agreement and called out a specialist fix the dashboard. The repair is still somewhat noticeable. It wasn't long until I've also noticed that the blower fan to the AC has become louder when turned on as in a fan becoming unbalanced rotating at a high speed - only fan, no AC was used. This is aggravating. Furthermore, I proceeded to look for signs of anything in the car that was tampered with starting with the passenger side area and noticed that the bolts to both the front seats have been removed and put back in. There were scratches around the bolts to show this. The screws to the glove compartment box have also been over- tightened. I wonder what they were doing in that area and why the compartment was removed. The car also felt as if it's been abused. At idle, there's now a harmonic vibration that's more noticeable, felt with hand resting on steering wheel, and shifter, that wasn't there before. After driving while the engine is at operating temperature, the engine now exhibits a slight knocking sound. Also worth mentioning is that when I brought my car back to them to fix my dashboard, the guy who took my car in, drove the car in reverse, into the garage, and scratched my rear bumper at the left side- I only noticed after driving the car back home. I'd take my car to the dealer every time for even the smallest issue, but this time I regret to have even chanced my car with Autotech Collission. I'm now looking into how to diagnose the blower fan, engine vibration and the knocking sound on my own, not to mention looking for another body shop to repaint my rear bumper. Jackals must've been doing more to my car than what I had wished for. I've never left my car with anyone for more than two weeks since I've owned the car and I really regret it this time. It's NYC and anything can happen behind your back. I have proof and pictures of all of the claims above if you want to know more. I've also posted pictures so you can see for yourself. Do yourself a favor and look around for a family owned business and don't use them. Good luck. *UPDATE* also noticed tire tread on the car wasn't like before I took the car in. tire slip can be heard when making ordinary exit turns off the high way. a friend suggested that the car may have well been abused or taken for personal use.

I had to have some work done to the driver's side door of my 2011 BMW. The people there were very helpful (went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule) and the work was perfect.

Some one keyed up the side of my brand spanking new car. I was concerned with having the paint re-done since it was a new car, but the shop told me there is nothing to worry about since they use all factory guide lines to prep the vehicle prior to painting. I trusted then and they were absolutely right. My car looks like someone gave me a replacement. They even cleaned off some scuff marks.

Lets try to make a long story short, My car (2010 Subaru Forester) was brought in on 01/04/11 after getting rear ended. The woman that hit me had GEICO and this is a GEICO affiliated shop. So their work is supposed to be guaranteed.... which is really not the case. Three weeks after the accident I received a call asking me to pick up the car. When I got to the shop and examined the car I noticed a few things wrong. The rear hatch which they painted had scratches all over it, "orange peel" and they also applied seam sealer under the paint in the trunk which is not how the factory produces the car. The paint in the trunk was the wrong color by the way. I was assured that the job would be fixed. A week later I got a call and went in. My findings: Paint applied the correct color but had runs, They painted another layer over the seam sealer, the scratches on the hatch were still present, there was glue all over the weatherstrip, and now the hatch was not opening smoothly. When I brought all these issues to their attention I was told that I am just making excuses, the car is fine. Geico told the shop they must fix the car. The third time I went to the shop the car was ok except for the seam sealer / paint issue which both Geico and Autotech refused to fix. I was told that the car is safe and 100% My issue is cosmetic not safety, Just because you normally dont look at a part of a car it doesn't mean it should be neglected or done differently. Geico stated that the car would be returned to me in Pre Accident condition and it has not been. I have pictures... my car did not look like this. My advise STAY AWAY!!!
