A family road trip to NYC turn out to be an unexpected trip to the mechanic shop. 5 miles out of Manhattan heard a loud bang coming from the front passenger wheel. I know something was wrong since my M3 has never had any problems. Right away I slowed down and got off our exit pulled over and notice the caliper wasn’t sitting properly it was seating on the rim. Search for the closest me auto repair shop and located this highly recommended service shop. At first Ozzy and Rich wasn’t sure he could service my car due to it being low to the ground and not getting on the lift,but after a few minutes they came over and said they would take a look and jack the car. First thing first they both informed me that we weee lucky because the caliper wasn’t sitting properly basically held by one bolt that was loose and lost the other bolt. After a few minutes they were able to locate a bolt and the Mayte at bat all the bolts were tightened on both front tires . They checked all four wheels and made sure everything was working properly tightened. Me and my family are grateful for the help and service these gentlemen and their crew provided. We were in a really tough position having to figure out how to make back to CT. But we had the blessing of haven’t to meet Ozzy and Rich today. Once again Thank you for your service and kindness and making us welcome to NYC. Highly recommend this shop for any type of work you need.

these guys saved me! my car broke down the second i got to my hotel on 51st (4pm friday) for my less than 2 day trip and they towed it and had it fixed for me before noon on saturday. they were so kind and helpful even when i was so stressed and overwhelmed. never bringing my poor car back to manhattan but if i did they would be my first call if something went wrong!

The absolute best service ever I highly recommend this guy's. Friendly and nice everyone there. I'm from Texas and I have to say one of the best mechanics and people I've ever met in my life. Thank you for making me feel at home you guys. Next time I'm in town I will stop by with lunch for us all.

Ozzy is a nice guy with fair and honest pricing. Had an accident and my blue Audi SQ5 was brought here for repairs. He is responsive. Overall good experience.

Completed my NY inspection very quickly. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Everyone was super friendly. They also do auto repair and services so will consider them in the future for auto needs. Highly recommend.

Manhattan Auto is hands down the best around here! I bought my own shocks for my 2016 Ford Explorer, and they had no problem installing them for me. Meanwhile, I first went to Cyber Tires, and the owner outright refused to do the job—his reason? Because he wouldn’t make extra money selling me the parts at an inflated price. That makes no sense from a customer’s standpoint! A real mechanic should be focused on the service, not just squeezing every dollar they can out of you. Clearly, Cyber Tires is more about making money than taking care of their customers. If you want honest service, go to Manhattan Auto instead! Also great oil change services.

I drove into Manhattan from Canada this past Thursday night and as soon as I arrived in the city from the Lincoln Tunnel my brakes seized. I called Manhattan Auto Repair at 6:30 Friday morning and Ozzy gave me an estimate over the phone to get my brakes repaired. I was able to take my van in first thing in the morning and he was so kind with such great calm and caring energy. He reassured me he would have everything taken care of before I needed to return home on Sunday and was upfront about any potential costs. I was afraid of Manhattan prices and it being in USD but overall their prices felt reasonable and I did not feel taken advantage of at all (which was a fear given my situation). My van was ready for me by the end of the day and Richard was so nice when I went to pick it up the next morning. Thank you so much for turning a stressful start to my weekend into a simple inconvenience. I am so thankful for you all, I made it back to Canada with no issues. I would highly recommend Manhattan Auto Repair!

Super convenient and very kind! Drove into the city, and had a car part on the turnpike hit and damage my oil pan. Oil drained out of my car. They towed us within an hour, ordered the part, we got a hotel room, and they had my car repaired by noon the next day. Drove home safely after that.

This place is amazing! My car broke down hours before I was supposed to start a 6 hour trip home and Rich was able to get me the part I needed and service my car in time for me to get home! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, hard working, and empathetic. I couldn’t recommend an auto shop more!

I am from nj and lost my brakes, I found Manhattan auto repair. The nicest people found my part and fixed my truck at a great price. I would highly recommend anyone with car problem to bring it to them. Thank u for great service

Amazing service and the staff was great!! Came in for a standard inspection, no appointment and they serviced immediately. Saved them as my go-to for all future inspections and would also go to them for any car service needs. Highly recommend to anyone in Manhattan needing to beg their inspection or other service done!

Brought my car here to get worked on because it was having power issues. On the phone he sounded very smart and knowledgeable. After a few hundreds down the drain on having my car towed here, he turned me away without even trying to look at my car. said "its not worth it" and said my engine was shot.
After doing research and replacing a faulty sensor myself, the car is up and running again.

Years of experience but sometimes mistakes are still made...

Manhattan auto repair is great place to business. Ozzy gave a great price on a catalytic converter that would have costed me thousands more at another place. Rebuilt my transmission and it works awesome. I recently got my door fixed but it was the wrong door. I came back we agreed it was miss communication and they made it right. Ozzy is a really good dude. Always happy with the work they have done.

These guys are magicians. A third of the cost of the dealership and about three times as fast. They diagnosed my problem immediately and had me out by the end of the day. Always a great experience.

I’ve owned and serviced a car in Manhattan for over 5 years, and this is *the best* auto repair shop in the entire city! Azzie and Richard (apologies if I’ve misspelled their names) and their entire crew are incredibly friendly, empathetic, knowledgable, honest, efficient and professional.

I got a flat tire just 2 days before I had to drive to a wedding out of state. I called multiple places around Manhattan to get my tire replaced, and I was either ignored, told that it would several days or given an absurd estimate ($500+ for 1 tire).

I spoke with Azzie, and he was not only able to get the *exact* tire I wanted/needed the same day, but he also helped me with towing my car + replaced my tire that same day - absolutely incredible!! I just wish I had found this shop earlier. Will be returning 1000%.

I have to say Ozzy is the man So is his father too Great shop to take your car in got into an accident with my Subaru and he made everything go away was a great experience. Might be the best mechanic in Manhattan. & He’s really trustworthy !!!!!!!

I drove to NYC & as soon as I arrived, my check engine light (and a few others) started blinking. I called, Ozzy picked up, & I headed straight there. I arrived 10 minutes before they closed & Ozzy stayed late to run a diagnostic check + explain the problem with my car. He called twice the next day with updates & had me up & running ASAP. Amazing service & super kind people!

Extraordinary service! Our breaks failed just as we drove into the city. After some frantic calling, we were able to limp the car over to Manhattan Auto Repair on a Saturday morning. Amazingly, they found parts and had our car ready by 1pm that same day. Unheard of! We were so grateful by their kindness, their professionalism, and their skill. What started as a very scary situation turned into a gift. We are so grateful to the incredible team at Manhattan Auto Repair.

Was involved in a minor collision with my BMW and I’m grateful for this place. I was involved in the accident on a Sunday and when many other repair and body shops were closed. They were able to take my car in. My car was fixed in a total of 9 days, Rich and his team works hard and I got my car back quickly. I noticed a couple of scratches to my interior when I got it back, he was super apologetic and fixed them immediately within 2 days like new. Very trustworthy and good! I’ve included before and after pictures. Car doesn’t even look like it was in an accident .

I went in for a typical NYS inspection but it turned out that I needed new brakes, pads, rotors, filters, tires and an oil change. I was really nervous about it at first but Ozzy gives a very fair price. He includes everything in the quote so there were no surprises later. The car was ready the next afternoon. The communication was clear and the response time was quick. I was very happy with my experience.

Long overdue, but I had to leave a review for this wonderful auto shop! I was in an accident right before Christmas and Ozzy was incredibly responsive, kind, and empathetic to my situation. He and Rich made sure I got my car door/fender replaced as quickly as possible, with a super clean paint job. I truly appreciated the positive energy I received from them throughout the process.

Great service. Brakes went out on our 2005 van while visiting Manhattan on business. It was un- drivable. I called this business, they sent a tow truck within an hour and had extensive repairs done 24 hours later. The price was similar to what I’d have paid back nome. They were even able to recommend a rental car 2 blocks away so we could meet all our business obligations. They saved our trip for us. Good communication too.

Amazing service and they are all reliable and sincere. My bloody car stopped running (shut off while driving) on the road just when I entered Manhattan from the Lincoln tunnel. So, my car had engine problems. I called and they towed me to their garage. They looked and my car and fixed the issue within a day and the next morning I got the car back. They are great 10/10 affordable and sincere.
