The cheesesteak spring rolls were awesome! Our server was friendly and it was a fun environment for dinner and watching sports. Would definitely go back!
I’ve been to Olde City’s other locations many times for dine-in, so I already knew the food was great, but this absolutely exceeded my expectations.. The cheesesteaks are incredible, packed with flavor, generous portions, and exactly the kind of food you immediately start craving again. For a takeout-focused spot, I was seriously impressed with how well everything traveled. The food stayed hot, fresh, and in perfect shape on my walk home, which is not always easy to pull off.
I also had the opportunity to meet one of the operators, Justine, who was so kind and clearly takes real pride in what they’re doing. You can feel the care, both in the food and the overall experience. Absolutely deserves 5 stars!!! A must try spot in the area!
VERY expensive, which I live with, but not being able to order ahead is a deal breaker. Website has been down since they first opened - at least every time I've tried to access it, it's been down. Pretty pathetic for a basic thing like your website, if you ask me. It's pretty telling that the owner or GM or management doesn't respond to reviews. Why is that?

InKind ordering wasn’t available. I told the person working there. He sent some messages. The ordering app started working again but the prices were higher than advertised at the store. No way to have someone just get a check and give me a check number. Not looking to get scammed with higher prices for no reason.
For almost $20 a cheesestake, the bar is way too high to even give 3 stars. The cheesestake looks good on the outside, but on the inside it's just seriously meh. The steak was reheated from cold, and the service was too slow and not ready for pickup by the time.
For $5-$7, it would be good for the right kind of person, but at $17-$20, it's not worth it.
Food quality is junk for the price. I watched the one-person operation using frozen cheesesteak as the ingredient. Nowhere near as good as a real Philadelphia cheesesteak shop.
This is a good place to get some food on a late weekday night. I got a cheesesteak to go and it had a solid greasy flavor that felt like the kind you would get in Philly. The interior decor had a great collection of relatable tchotchkies. Overall, it's a good place that I expect to visit again.
Im a philly guy. Born there but raised 30 min outside of the city. This is one of the best cheese steaks i have ever had. The bread is authentic philly bread. The pretzel was also from philly. Literally a taste from home and better than many of the spots i have been to in philly. I almost have to say this was better than johns roast pork in philly. Im absolutely blown away. Try this place. This is as if you are in Philadelphia
This place is great if you feel like paying $20 for what taste like a $10 bodega sandwhich. Also it’s really nice that the workers completely ignore anyone in the store.
They should be embarrassed calling this a cheesesteak… hardly any cheese in it, was very dissatisfied. Danny & Coops is far far far superior - don’t waste the calories on this one.
This place is amazing! My sister and I come to this location a lot and the things we’ve eaten has been great! Our favorite is the Philly cheese steak egg rolls and the Obay fries! The owner is great always having conversations with us and makes sure our food comes out great! I recommend this place!

Overly greasy, sandwich wasn’t even cut correctly and completely fell apart. Bread was soaked. Long wait. Super expensive. Minus points for Philly sports in nyc and in giants territory.

I have ordered from this Olde City location thrice, however the first two times were within their first 2 weeks of opening so I waited until now to review. This is a great grab and go/delivery alternative to Wonder, at much higher quality.
The first time I ordered just aioli garlic fries to try the place out. they were hot, tasty, and a generous portion- just what I was craving coming home late.
I then tried their special cheesesteak w brocolli and provolone which was also good and ordered chicken tenders for a friend.
I tried my friend's chicken tenders and they were great so ordered those for my 3rd visit. They usually come 4 large tenders to an order with a sauce of your choice. A testament to their taste- I ate 2 and saved 2 for the next day and a family member visiting got to them before I did, and then asked where they were from to order more!
I appreciate being able to have a selection of sauces to choose from and the portion size for the sauce is a larger cup than most places.
The first time I ordered the tenders for my friend they had been sliced into- but that has not happened since and those tenders were especially large. It was their initial opening period and my guess is they did that to ensure the chicken was thoroughly cooked. The tenders were still hot and not dry.
For ordering: you can either order online or in store at one of the two large digital tablets - luddites fear not- each time I have visited, I was warmly greeted by a staff member I now know to be named Justine who offered assistance and to let her know abt any questions regarding the menu or ordering.
For customer service: there was a mistake with one of my first orders. I submitted a form on the website and was contacted that evening. It was handled promptly and professionally.
I would probably give them 4 stars if not for the exceptional service and their first month open, what would really be lovely to see on the menu salads or a side vegetable as the other Olde City locations have. Hoping they're able to expand their menu as they establish their roots but wishing this business success!
Some guy at a bar mentioned this relatively new (to UWS) hole-in-the-wall is owned by the Danny and Coops LES folk, gave it a shot. Was looking for a nice gooey cheese steak sammie, mixed w/ peppers and onions and cheese. Wasn't exactly what I got, the hot banana pepper plastered onto it's front aside. That was about it, save for a few flecks of red bell pepper. And I saw no cheese, altho that could be absorbed by the thinly sliced steak.
It was tasty, but .... the kids manning the store were attentive, between checking their phones in back but ... was it worth $20?
Eh.
I was looking for a very specific composition. Wasn't it. Maybe i'll try Danny and Coop next.

This spot is very legit! The Philly cheese steak is top notch. Its a take out spot so no real atmospheric. They dont accept cash as of yet. I ordered the authentic cheese steak and I would definitely order it again. The owner is also a nice guy.i will be back!
They finally opened! So excited to have Olde City on the Upper West Side. I tried a cheesesteak whiz/onions & the hot buffalo wings. Both were delicious. Can't wait to work my way through their whole menu!
