This reminds me of whole foods, and other grocery stores that offer premade meals, a hot bar, bakery, etc. Prices are comparable to other grocerys.

It's funny, I only found out about this place because of a review... For a different supermarket. I was on my way to an appointment and noticed a market - let's call it the "other supermarket around the corner" - which I flagged to return to later for some essentials. While I was waiting for my appointment, I decided to look up reviews for this "other supermarket around the corner"... which were less than flattering. Well, one user suggested coming here instead - to the Amish market around the corner - and I am glad that I research places before I go because what a treat this was! This place is wonderful; super clean and inviting, a true neighborhood gem. Repka (I apologize as I may be misspelling her name) was so lovely and helpful. I highly recommend. Clearly, reading *and writing* reviews matter! They have very fresh produce and equally reasonable prices, you will not be disappointed!

Great selection and products. Prices are insane. I spent $400 on groceries in 15 mins. I couldn’t got the same amount of stuff if not more in Trader Joe’s or my local gourmet grocery store.

Nice place! They serve salads, sushi, pizza, deli, and a hot and cold food bar! Deli sandwiches are the best. I recommend it

Huge range and good prices. Staff who are happy to help you as well. The take-away food looked and smelled delicious. No alcohol stocked

This is one of my favorite supermarkets. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh, and there are occasionally little surprises that make shopping here even more enjoyable.

Amish market is a special kind of grocery store with a rustic old school vibe that makes you feel comfortable. The prices are usually pretty good and they have great cheese and produce specials. The hot/cold food bar is always delicious with many options and is half-price after 7pm!

The oldest Market in the USA. Such a lovely place to walk around and discover all the great stands. This is where I discovered Baked Oatmeal.

They had a good selection. They have a buffet by the pound. That was pretty well stocked.

Best lunch specials ! The make your own salad for $8.88 is awesome !

I love Amish markets - especially the “create your own” salad bar (where I’ve had salad made as early as 8:00am on my way to work), and pizza/flatbread corner! It also has a hot and cold food bar, sushi, and a bakery in addition to the range of grocery selections. Their fresh fruits displays outside the entrance draw you in but the winner is their fruit/gift baskets via phone or email order, which they deliver within Manhattan?

240 E 45TH Street “Amish Market is a wonderful spot in Midtown East offering a great selection of fresh groceries, vegetables, fruits, and gourmet items. The produce is always fresh, and the variety is impressive—from organic goods to specialty products. Their prepared foods, sandwiches, sushi, and salad bar are delicious and perfect for a quick meal. The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A great place to shop for quality food or grab something tasty on the go.

I work nearby and although pricey, the buffet is always delicious. Stopped in to buy a few high end nuts packaged nuts (disappointed at lack of selection) but maybe that’s more of a nuts factory thing. Thought they’d have even some good chocolate as they have everything. Just some Godiva bars. Should have gone to Grand Central Market. This is more of a supermarket. Location is convenient if you’re looking for those gourmet jams, a convenient bakery with birthday cakes, coffee or a good buffet for lunch.

I just left the store and realized I was charged $6 for a single head of garlic — because the cashier scanned it as Dutch Gold Honey Avocado. This is not just a simple mistake — it’s a ridiculous overcharge, and I only noticed after checking the receipt at home. This kind of error makes customers lose trust. I expect better accuracy from a store that claims to offer honest and wholesome products. I suggest your staff pay more attention at the register. Buyers! AVOID THIS PLACE!

This humble establishment has a large variety of goods to purchase, everything from you local to international products. Ontop of great products, they serve a variety of hot and cold dishes, from pizza, sushi, salads and even fresh sandwiches. This place has it all.

We stayed in Tudor city so went there a couple of times. Well-assorted. Staff is nice. You can even get quick, tasty dinner for a resonable price.

Our family is visiting NYC for marathon weekend and was excited about a fresh market just steps from our hotel. I'll give credit where it's due - the product selection is great. But the staff followed me and my mother, who is a senior citizen, throughout the entire store. When my mom asked where to find a product, she was met with a sharp tongue and sour attitude. I'm a pretty direct communicator, so I understand being blunt, but the man was out of line for a customer asking a simple question. Since logging in to read the reviews, I've noticed similar comments to our family's experience. It's 2024, I wish you the best, but I'll spend my money elsewhere and would encourage others to do the same.

I have been shopping at the Amish Market for years and absolutely LOVE everything about this place. The store itself is beautiful and they have a wonderful inventory of everything you could possibly need. Their produce is always fresh and very reasonably priced, their soups are delicious, and their salad bar and baked goods are beautifully presented. Most importantly, their staff and the cashiers are friendly, professional and efficient. Special thank you to Amy today who realized a bag of mini peppers I was about to purchase were “past their prime” and to Brandi (and the other cashiers) who always treat me like a “rock star”. Highly recommend if you’re in the neighborhood.

I think this is one of the best hot buffets in the city. Not only do I buy my lunch here almost every day, I also order from their catering department for firm events. I have always had excellent service and wonderful feedback on the food.

This place is like a mini-Wegman's- they have everything you need, just a bit pricey.

This place is grocery/ Bodega wonderland! I feel like I am in a movie when I am Inside! Pro: -amazing produce - fresh - sandwiches and prepared food ‐ friendly staff - did I mention options and diversity? Con: - none This place is amazing to just visit and look around, you can't help but pick things up, sit down to eat, just 5 stars all around.

An organic grocery store with buffet line for lunch (13.99 USD/Lb). The items are, of course, on a high price. But they provide a good selection of items. So, if you are in need of a quick grocery stop for a few items in this area, this could be a good spot. I wouldn't use this place as my main grocery shopping spot though. As for the buffet line, the ingredients are fresh and mostly well-seasoned. I highly recommend their baked salmon and avocado salad but wouldn't recommend the sausages with mushroom, as the sausages are plain salty with no other redeemable taste. (Expected it to be more herbal based on its look.) The one pictured in this review is 14.62 USD/box - tax included.

I really appreciated this Deli. In a baking hot New York summer, the salad bar is just brilliant, providing a refreshing, filling, healthy and tasty lunch. Their salads offer a welcome respite to New York's excruciatingly high prices. They also have a pizza oven and self-service buffet arrangement too, amidst wall to wall adornments of fresh fruit and veg, cured meats and seafood, lots of cheeses, breads, delicacies, deserts, chocolates and more. In fact, the shop is crammed full of delicacies, with every available space used to ensure their offering of an extensive variety of stock. Amish market is a brand name, and this is actually a chain store deli.

Didn't know what to expect but it wasn't this variety of modern products that seemed too much for the small space. The fresh lunch options were tasty and priced for the location. As were the desserts. Thankfully, the coffee was hot and well-made, as the constantly opening door made for a cold lunch in March. Staff were neutral

What a deal! A salad with choice of protein, and 4 toppings for $8! It’s a big salad and a great price for this part of the city. It’s comes out to alittle under $9 with tax! They have a lot of vegetables and toppings too.

Fantastic grocery store that stocks pretty much everything you need. It's very vegan friendly as they stock vegan wraps, snacks, tofu, hummus, amazing fruit and veg, plant milks, vegan dairy products etc,. But it also has a great meat counter, cured meats, dairy etc too. Only downside is NYC prices but this isn't their fault.
