Always great hospitality at Comfortland! Their wide range of sandwiches and creative menu always makes it an interesting and unique experience. Always feels like a different experience because they always cycle in specials on their menu. This is the definition of NYC comfort food and they never miss. Personally I think they got one of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the game with their voodoo tiger. I always end up coming back to this place and everything about them is wholesome. They know what they are doing!
Every time I’ve gotten food either pick up or delivery the food is on point like a thorn on a rose. The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. Every time I walk in Will has a clever Spider-Man like quip to brighten up the day. please make it your business to support these guys over in LES it’s such a dope experience from hospitality to the quality of food
Absolutely amazing service, this review sounds fake but seriously they are that good. I went to get some food for a late night snack and got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the three card monte for my girlfriend. It was so good I went the next day with her to get more again, got the three card monte again I loved it that much, she got the spirited away. Again another food experience. Will was amazing, great guy love him, will definitely be going out of my way to come here again the next time I visit the city. Thanks for a great experience!
The food blew my mind and was so delicious and worth the price I went back the next day! When we ordered the staff was extremely friendly especially Will he had a great sense of humor. He even gave us an extra dessert and obviously is great with people. Out of the places in New York I would definitely recommend.
The food is phenomenal. I had the Old Boy which is a bulgogi sandwich with onion rings in it! The vibe is awesome, fun music, great decor! We loved it!!!
We found Comfortland while walking down Riverington and that must have been the guiding of a muse of deliciousness. Seriously, the food here is seriously good. We shared a Crispy Chicken Crunch Wrap because, as advised, the wraps are seriously large! The sandwich was fresh, tasty, warm and comforting - the perfect meal on a cold February day. The bar seating in this small space actually works and is comfortable. The service, and conversation, was welcoming and made us feel as if we had been coming for years rather than just our first time. We will be back!
Comfortland was a really solid stop on a Sunday night before the Super Bowl and the vibe was calm and welcoming even with everything going on. The space itself was fun and interesting with a lot of cool Japanese toy collectibles around which gave it a unique personality and made it feel more personal and creative.
What really made the experience special was Will. He is a genuinely kind soul who always welcomes customers warmly and takes the time to say something nice. He is great with people always talking engaging and making everyone feel comfortable. You can tell he truly cares about the customers and the atmosphere he creates reflects that.
Overall it was a very positive experience. Good energy thoughtful service and a place that feels welcoming in every way. Much appreciation to Will for always treating people with kindness and respect.
Comfortland LES is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and passion behind everything they do. The manager Will is outstanding professional, kind, and genuinely invested in both the guests and the team. Honestly, more places should have managers like him.
And the kitchen? Next level. Francisco and Diego cook with so much love, and you can taste it in every bite. La comida es increíble!! full of flavor, heart, and consistency. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it shows.

Wow, absolutely blown away!!! One of the best food experiences I’ve had in my LIFE, forget best bites in the city, my whole LIFE. I know that sounds exaggerated, but the entire experience was just a 10/10 for me. We found the spot on tik tok, it was near our hotel and looked good, but we didn’t know it would be THIS good. The front man Will broke down the entire menu for us, talked to us the whole time we waited for our food, had some great conversation, and gave my girlfriend a free pastry for her birthday! At this point I was like “no way the food can match the service”, welp, I was wrong!! The food was just fantastic. I got the space jam, such a crazy combo, it combined sweet and savory better than anything I’ve ever tried. My vegan friend got a sub style meal, and it was ALSO amazing. My girlfriend got the katsu sandwich with buldok balls, and she gave them one of the highest ratings I’ve ever seen from her! And let me just give a crazy, MASSIVE shoutout to the chefs Diego and Francisco, from what I heard, you’re extremely hard working and dedicated, and you have some damn good food ? thank you guys so much! Cant recommend it enough
When I tell you this was a random thing me and my man decided to do, but it was and became the best late night spot! The best spot. Will was amazing the way he took care of us. Wow I felt like I was home with family eating the best comfort food ever
Will and the rest of the crew are the bomb. Extremely welcoming and inviting. Brought a couple of my friends and he immediately introduced us to his phenomenal menu. If you ever need a place to go this is the spot.
Great spot! Really good and creative sandwiches with a wide range of global flavor influences. So far I’ve had the shogun assassin, the white lotus season 2, and the everything everywhere tots. All were very good and well balanced - great ratios of meat to cheese to carb(s). Surprisingly doesn’t feel heavy or weigh you down after eating. I find that one sandwich is substantial enough for me to split into two small meals or two large snacks :) The decor in here in fun also! Lots of vintage kaiju toys. Service has always been really fast when I order. I can’t wait to try more of their menu!
Been obsessed with Comfortland for years. Love the new location, and the guy who runs this location, Will, is so awesome. And I’m not just saying that because of all the free samples he’s given me and my friends ?
But seriously everything at Comfortland is so good that you’d want to get it again and again except you don’t do that because there’s always something new to try that also sounds amazing. On my most recent visit I got the Old Boy and the meatball parm pockets, which were both fantastic.
Comfortland isn't a place but an idea. When I was out famished on a Thursday night, a man said to me "come on in, it's as awesome as it looks." He introduced himself as Will ,and I was shown what true hospitality was. He gave me two recommendations and I tried them both. The Don Vito and Texas hold'em patty melt was delicious. He gave me a handshake for finishing the food because he said people generally need to pack the food to go.
In the 5 years I’ve lived in nyc, this is one of the best sandwich shops I’ve ever been to. I eat here at least once a week now. Also shout out to the manager Will, he’s super nice and a local! All of their sandwiches are amazing, as well as the fries. Also it’s so easy to order to-go on their website
Wow…live in the neighborhood and this place blew me away. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was exactly what it needs to be. Cheesy, crunchy, creamy, it was delicious.
Also had the llama Caesar wrap and it was incredible too. Will absolutely be back for both.
Comfort in every sense of the word! The food is delicious and fun and creative. You can tell they had a good time making this menu, and it really lands. The prices are incredible, portions are very generous. The vibe is so warm, and that starts with a staff that is kind and enthusiastic and truly cares that you’re having a good experience. Massive recommendation here. Try it!
so glad this spot opened up in the neighborhood. all the sandwiches are super creative and yummy! everytime i come in Will is always so friendly and accommodating. real down to earth and the atmosphere is so cozy. the prices are affordable esp compared to other spots around here. if you’re lookin for a fresh, filling and yummy sandwhich definitely pull up!
This right here is why I am leaving a review - the staff!!! The food is beyond amazing but today (even in the smallest of gestures), the staff at Comfortland shined! Thank you, Francisco! Run, don’t walk, to try their Thanksgiving eggroll and the Kerry Gold butter donut!!! Two of my favorite bites this year!!
What a great meal and experience I had! When you walk into Comfortland, you'll immediately see all the unique decor and hear great music being played. I ordered Choppenheimer, which is a chopped cheese empanada sandwich, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickled jalapeño, spicy ketchup & mayo on a kaiser roll. I also got truffle potato tots. The sandwich was glorious! Very cheesy and delicious! The tots were incredibly crispy and tasty too! The people who work there might be the best part of Comfortland! They were so friendly and welcoming and I'll definitely be back to try something different.
So I ordered the vegan wrap but got a chicken cutlet instead. I also felt that the guy at the front was talking too much and not paying attention to the orders.
Edit: I didn't realized that it had "vegan" chicken in the wrap. Thank you for clearing that up.
Food lived up to its name, super comforting and the place itself was as well. You can sit and watch a movie &When you have guys like Will up front running the place it’ll make you want to come back everyday. I appreciate the hospitality and great job to the team in the back. Comfortland just opened a couple weeks ago and I am already a fan. I got the BBQ Chicken Crunchwrap and wow it was so good. The portion was huge with a ton of tender chicken, plenty of fresh veggies, and that spicy mayo was amazing. The tortilla was just right and held everything together perfectly.
The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome right away. I am definitely coming back. Comfortland is already one of my favorite new spots in the neighborhood.
Been living in LES five years. Love me a good sandwich. The Freak Friday is so good. I’m putting Comfortland into my eating rotation and kicking out all my other sandwich spots. The food is comforting, but not too heavy, which is perfect for me. The owner Donnie has a real pride in his food that shines through. Portion sizes are large and prices reasonable. Great add to the neighborhood
People are sleeping on this spot. It is amazing - run before it blows up and there are long lines. The chicken crunch wrap was out of this world and their fried chicken sandwhiches are also great. IDK what kind of magic is in their fries. They’re the most unusual cut, kind of like a cross between crinkle cut and steak fries and they were soo good. There is one small table and two rows of bar seating lining the space (probably about 15 - 20 seats).
Also their condiment game is on point. I think they had no less than 5 different hot sauces around the seating and mikes hot honey plus Heinz ketchup.
The owner is a genius for creating this place the food is AMAZING I could have literally gotten the whole menu I got the chopped cheese empanadas they were so delicious and juicy and the Llama Cesar wrap is on another level the created their own Caesar dressing with red peppers it was just out of this world. Will at the counter is a sweet heart so nice great conversation he gave me stickers for myself and my children. Also don't sleep on the strawberry lemonade my son who is picky with everything even loved it. I cant wait to go back and try more of their food
