I’m posting here as well because Mastercard keeps ignoring my concerns and telling me to email them instead. I know those emails don’t go anywhere because I’ve had a many other concern friends and individuals in our community that have tried and have not had any other responses other than botted automated responses. Also tried to call and contact them with my concerns. At first Visa stated that they weren’t doing any censorship. But apparently that was all a lie as of recent they just announced they want to be a leading example of gaming. So they now are owning up to censorship. Thing is we have laws in place and systems already, the ESRB, Steam itself has an age system that was extremely tedious to turn off, and yet they bully not just gamers but anyone who doesn’t agree with their “brand”. This shouldn’t be about brands. This isn’t even about the kids safety online. Anyone who’s been on steam for 30 minutes can see there are already so many checks and balances to keep people from content that they don’t want to see. Anyone spending over an hour going through the entire system testing it can see Steam does an amazing job at filtering and removing harmful stuff. Yes sometimes some things filter through that is questionable but every online platform struggles with this and as AI tech advances so does this checks and balances. But no, I can’t tell anyone about this because all they say is “write an email” and then they ignore calls. No one wants to hear it. Well guess what? This is hurting Mastercards brand way more than anything. No one likes censorship. Banks shouldn’t be allowed to bully platforms if it’s legal. And every game on Steam was legal. Now even horror games and other non nsfw game is being affected. And not just video games, this has extended to a many other hobbies and brands too. But for many of us the video games is the final straw. Mastercard is saying “we only support what we think is aligned with our agenda” with this move. Which is why a many of us are leaving Mastercard unless they start treating the majority who is outraged by this, being ignored and actually changes their stances. This is a dangerous stance they are doing, censorship, the number one enemy of our first amendment right in the United States of America. As long as they keep backdooring the issue with bullying while lying to our faces and ignoring our concerns, this company, PayPal and Discover will sadly feel the sting of thousands to millions of people paying off their debts and then looking for an alternative. For sure I am. I’ll change this review if something changes and they do the right thing. For now, their stance on this, is disgusting. Down with censorship.

They think they have the right to tell adults what LEGAL purchases they can and can't make by putting pressure on companies like Steam to remove content THEY seem inappropriate, how long before it goes from adult games to queer or other marginalized people's games? Mastercard has no right to try and control adult lives like this it's disgusting

Mastercard decided they get to dictate what type of items can be purchased with their cards. Mastercard is trash and should get their act together.

I was booked for Fashion Week in September 2024, as part of Bernadette Thompson nail team. Enternally grateful to have been given this amazing opportunity to work with Bernadette Thompson a trailblazer in the nail industry. The staff at the Mastercard Tech Hub was truly professional, the security team was very helpful and polite. The food was very delicious and trying dishes is always fun. Met so many people that day, enjoyed the rooftop view of Manhattan. The DJ at the event created music that the vibe was celebrating the moment.

Mastercard is unbelievably greedy. They charge $6 just to activate a $50 gift card.

At Belarussian Burger King we have an offer from Mastercard: pay by Mastercard and you will receive a free drink. Great offer but it works only if I go to cashier and pay directly to personal and its doesn't work if you pay using contactless cashier. This proposal makes me contact during a pandemic.

It is ironic that "Mastercard's " "Report a Problem Shopping" form was not working on 9/30 or 11/20. After emailing CEO, Ajay Banga, on both occasions,I was told the problem would be fixed. A consumer does not need " Mastercard's" form for reporting a problem not working. And another irony, is a company named "Mastercard" doing business unlike the quality the name "MASTERcard" conveys !
