Excellent restaurant near park avenue crossing the 43rd ST. Highly recommend the tuna tartar and the seabags ceviche. Jenny our waitress was very thoughtful.
Stayed for 2 days. Definitely great history and rooms, but the food and the service is pretty poor. Unmotivated waiters, completely bland overpriced food (offered by a famous chef?!). Check your dry chicken breast dish and a cold soap like butter if you didn’t yet. And, an overly spicy staff members at the coat room. Completely unwelcomed. Some homework to be done for a place with such a name.
We visited the Yale Club through a reciprocal membership with our club. It’s warm, sophisticated, and full of history—Yale has certainly produced some remarkable leaders. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and we appreciate the charm of a smaller hotel. The location is ideal, close to all the action yet tucked away on a quieter street.
Historic club but honestly they can do a lot better in terms of service and food selection. They also need to update their old elevators in the building !!

The dress code may seem strict but I walked through the lobby with a sweater over my tank top and a skirt and none of the employees said anything! You are not allowed to use your computer in the lounge but you are in the bar room.
Spend so much time here that I think I’ve tried everything on the menu - especially love their calamari, tuna tartare and duck! Gym is always crowded around rush hour but is mostly empty during the day and on weekends. Rooftop has great seating with views in the summer and tap room is great for getting work done in the winter. Largest club of all the university clubs in NYC and has by far the best interior designs.
The Yale Club is everything you expect and more. I’ve only had the privilege of visiting as a guest, but the experience was amazing. Classy and elegant. Quiet and comfortable. This place is a haven for locals & members. If you have access or can get access, it’s worth it.
Been a member of the Yale Club for 30 years. Going there is like coming home as you know almost all the staff for a long long time. What’s better is they know you and it just makes it the most welcoming place. Over the years I’ve watched the dress code become more and more relaxed, which is helpful sometimes if you’re not wearing a suit or tie, but if you’re going there, please understand that, although they allow sneaker-like soles ,track sneakers, and sneakers like that and gym attire, etc. etc. are absolutely prohibited and collared shirts are a must and please check your coats and bags. Specially this time of year when it’s very busy and the lounge on the second floor gets crowded. And finally, it’s a very special place, so try and dress and act accordingly and you’ll have the best time!

Parking is tough. It's at the MetLife building (nee PanAm building) right at Grand Central Station.
We stayed for a couple of nights and had such a great experience. The staff was very polite and attentive especially Juan in front desk went above and beyond to help with whatever we needed. Room was in excellent condition and facilities are great. Also, the location is very convenient because it offers easy access to many places in town. The atmosphere in the club gives you the sense that you are like at home. Highly recommended.

The Yale Club is amazing. Attended a wedding there recently. Stayed overnight: room very updated. Terrace reception area has great views and great for mingling. Ballroom for dinner was excellent. Nice size dance floor, really good bartenders, excellent and attentive waitstaff (thanks Eddie). Food was very good. Overall, an amazing experience. Front desk staff could not have been more accommodating: my wife had a dress zipper issue I could not fix. Three of them jumped in to fix the issue and make the evening memorable. Now that is first class service above and beyond. Thank you.
Stayed two nights and had lunch on the roof. Rooms are clean, but a bit worn (isn’t everything in NYC). Staff are incredibly professional and prompt. Lunch on the roof was wonderful and the view was amazing. Great experience
An exclusive club in Midtown Manhattan across the street from Grand Central Station for Yale alumni and faculty. I was honored to attend a networking event hosted by my High School in the Trumbull room. It was a nice event with great ambiance, but I was disappointed with the hors d'oeuvres. They seemed like quick easy to make items with little to no effort.
Stayed here one night for an event in the city. Gym facilities are nice. They have a swimming pool and squash courts. Free coffee in the morning at the lounge!
The Yale Club is a clubhouse for graduates of Yale University and is located at 50 Vanderbilt Avenue, New York, NY. They’re open everyday from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. Their offers are The Main Lounge, the Grill Room (reservations recommended), the Tap Room (reservations required), the Fitness and Squash Center, the Library, and guest rooms. Members can make their reservations at yaleclubnyc.org which is a user-friendly site.
This is the first time I had the opportunity to experience The Yale Club and enjoy a nice lunch there. It had a renaissance style interior design and a beautiful view of the city. The food was delicious specially the cheese cake. I would highly recommend anyone that have the opportunity to go and experience it.
Beautiful club with rich history offering everything for a great stay: pool, meeting rooms, bars, great service and a fantastic library!!!
Overnight stays are possible as well and the breakfast is delicious.
While I’ve never been inside the Yale Club, I’ve actually spoken at the Harvard Club but I digress—this ‘review’ is really to point out some interesting American Revolutionary War history on the exterior of the Yale Club. Thanks to the club for keeping this plaque here, I only wish more visitors, daily commuters and tourists would stop and read it. Please see the plaque on the 44th St and Vanderbilt Ave dedicated to Nathan Hale.
A great place for this investors forum. I've been here many times and have only met quality people. The food is always top-notch and the service is almost invisible. I plan on going to many more in the near future. I highly recommend using this venue. You'll be happy you did. Tell them Kabbash said hello.
