I have been to Chili many times over the years. I go solo, with friends and family or romantic dates. Food is always phenomenal. Last week I went for my birthday and although we had to wait a little passed our reservation time for another party to finish. Jonathan and the other servers made it up to us with a lovely birthday treat! Chocolate mousse with a sparkler and then this sesame ball sake thing, it was delicious! They also give you a Polaroid picture which is such a sweet sentimental keepsake. They outdid it once again food was phenomenal and that’s why I keep going back! 100/10 for the cumin lamb but it is spicy if you can’t handle it. I ordered another one to go to enjoy at home. 10/10 for the red fish stew also spicy. 10/10 duck fried rice it’s so flavourful 10/10 bok choy simple and still crispy. 9/10 for the crispy vegetables it was my first time trying this one. A little too much salt for my liking but my friends didn’t have an issue. 10/10 Truffle beef was tender and delicious my friends had to order another one.

This was our second time to eat at Chili, and we loved just as much. We ordered the Mouthwatering Chicken, Poached Okra, Shredded Mushrooms with Green Chili, and Kung Fu Shrimp. Everything was original and delicious. My favorite was the shrimp - I had never experienced anything like it before. Spicy without unbearable heat. We will definitely dine at Chili when we return to the city. Try new dishes each time. Taste adventure!

Had a post New Years dinner with friends here. Our server Jonathan was great with helping pick out cocktails and food options. Service was friendly but not smothering.Their whole service team was on point, and we're quick to fill up water glasses and take away empty plates. Food and cocktails were excellent! We've been before for their great lunch special, but coming with a group for dinner was much more enjoyable.

Ambiance (5/5): Feels sleek and elevated in here. The aroma of the dishes permeated the room that made my tummy rumble with excitement!! Service (5/5): We were attended to from beginning to end. The food came out lightening fast, like within 10 minutes! Food: Pro tip – look at their online menu on their website because it has pictures of the dishes! Dan Dan noodles (4/5): Great taste but there was nothing to write home about. Soup Dumplings (4/5): The server advised us that the order would take at least 15min to cook as a heads up! The dish was very good. Well we accidentally ordered two dishes with similar flavor profiles (our fault). Both of which are very flavorful and spicy! Spicy Cumin Lamb (5/5): Very flavorful but be careful to those that can’t handle spicy! Sautéed Beef with Pickled Chili (5/5): The beef was so tender! Definitely preferred this one over the lamb dish.

红油水饺 may look frozen but the waiter/manager man in all black truly promised that they are made in house. i might ask for a pinky promise next time. they were pretty good tho esp cucumbers dipped in the sauce. jonathan another waiter was also very nice to us! our water cups were never left half full for more than 2.68 minutes,—never got the chance to see the bottom of my glass. they even offered a fourth napkin for the three of us. 节日快乐 宝宝们

Solid sichaun dishes all around! Everything was tasty and portions were pretty large. The dry pot veggies and chingking chicken were excellent. The Kung pao shrimp was good but didn’t have any veggies, only shrimp and peanuts. For dessert we tried the rice wine soup and it comes with a super cool presentation. Our server Jonathan was great!

I had a great experience at Chili today. Our server, Jhonaton, was super friendly and attentive. He checked on the table often and made me feel very welcome. I ordered the fried rice, and it was delicious — fragrant, not too oily, and full of flavor. The rice was nicely separated, with tender pieces of meat, egg, and fresh green onion. A simple dish, but made really well.

The Food is really good, portions are good, staff are quick and attentive. The Rice Ball desert was something I’ve never tried before, presentation on point, sweet little flour dough balls filled with sesame and peanut. Thanks Jonathan for the recommendation!

The egg yolk bun was fantastic. It was hot, soft, and the filling flowed like lava when I bit into it. The beef scallion wrap was okay. The wrap was very crunchy, but the beef inside was cold which surprised me a little. For my entree I had the braised fish fillet with tofu. It was spicy and the fish was cooked nicely, though there wasn’t much else to say about it. The entree does not come with rice and you would need to order a side of rice. The sever messed up our order of purple rice and gave us regular rice instead.

Food comes out so quick and service is great. We sat at the bar and William the bartender took our order right away for drinks and food. We got the pork dumplings in chili oil, braised tofu with crab and fish blossom (highly recommend all of them!)

Top notch service and food quality. Very tasty authentic Szechuan Chinese food. Ambiance is lively and trendy for small gathering. Our server William is super tentative and made us felt we taken care of despite the dinner rush. Highly recommend Chili for your next Szechuan Chinese gathering time!

Our server Jonathan was so friendly and accommodating. It was my first time here but every thing we ordered was delicious. We got the kung pao chicken, fried rice with smoked tea duck, the bok choy (a favorite at our table!) and the scallion pancakes

The atmosphere is suitable for reunion with my friends and the service is so good! Jhonalan is so kind and patient. The taste is good and I recommend the bean soup , I really like it !

Delicious food here! We got the smoked duck, fish fillet tofu, and the garlic eggplant for dinner. Everything is so good here I highly recommend. The staffs were friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. Shout out to William for being extra attentive!

I went to Chili for my first time today. I didn’t have a reservation for 2 on a Saturday night and the wait was only 20mins. The cucumber garlic dish is really good and the veggie potstickers were also very good. Cocktails were nice and strong. They gave us dessert on the house because they asked us to switch tables. The sweet sesame rice balls in soup made me feel so nostalgic. Service was also really good and friendly. I will definitely come here again as the menu has many options!

Chilli, 13 East 37th Street, New York, serves authentic Sichuan cuisine in a stylish Shanghai-inspired setting. The food is flavorful and spicy, with favorites like dumplings in chili oil and cumin lamb. Service is attentive, and while it can get busy and slightly pricey, it’s a great spot for bold Chinese flavors.

Great service, really good food! Among the dishes we ordered, I believe the veggie ones were the best, specially the shredded mushrooms and the glass noodles with fried eggs (just yumm!) The fish fillet with tofu was missing a bit flavour, needs more kick to it, also the string peas could use some more strong taste. The shrimp dish sauce was just yummy!

Had a nice brunch there. Service was top notch and atmosphere was pleasant- easy to have conversation there. The food was delish! Beef scallion pancake was crispy and flavorful. The dumpling in chili oil was my favorite; the chili sauce had a perfect balance of spicy and sweet. And the truffle beef had a nice presentation with a subtle truffle finish.

I highly recommend RSVPing as this place is really popular. We went on Friday around dinner time. Service: We rsvp’d ahead of time and there was no delay getting seated. The staff was really nice. Food came out at a reasonable pace and in an order that makes sense. Atmosphere: Really chill dinner vibes. Music was not loud. Food: 2 entrees + appetizer + rice = Plenty of food for two. Jellyfish Salad (5/5) - Mostly sweet. There is a tiny kick at the end. Peppers are de-seeded and dont really taste like anything. Overall suitable for people of all spice levels. Chungking Spicy Chicken (5/5) - Chicken are appropriately sized, nicely fried and seasoned. It is not too spicy but you definitely can taste it. It is savory as opposed to some other places where it is on the sweeter side. Chungking Braised Fish (5/5) - Nicely cooked and has good texture. Has noodles and tofu in it. The tofu is super delicate so be careful when using chopstick. Spice is not overwhelming. Would definitely recommend this place!

Really lovely dinner. Our bartender suggested the refreshing gin cocktail made with elderberry and their signature chili margarita. The poached okra was so delicious. I cant wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Had a great dinner here. All the dishes were very yummy. The food arrived quickly after ordering. Both dumpling dishes were great! The spicy lamb dish was hot and spicy ?. Enjoyed the duck fried rice as well, could have used some more meat tho. Restaurant and music were very loud during dinner service.

I would highly recommend their food and cocktails. My friend and I had an amazingly delicious dinner though we greatly underestimated its portion sizes. My favorites were the spare ribs and spicy mushroom dish. The staff were very attentive, quick to give us spare utensils when we dropped it and swift with other accommodations despite the restaurant being packed. 10/10 recommend, would definitely come here again ?

The beef soup is pretty good, but other dishes are okay. Service is okay. The food is a bit spicy. If you don’t have spicy very often, ask for less spicy.

Overall a great dining experience! We ate mostly off the dim sum menu and everything was delicious. We had: Pork Soup Dumplings - amazingly delicious, savory, juicy dumpling served with a tangy vinegar & ginger sauce. Beef pancake wrap - savory flakey crust surrounding tinder juicy beef, with fresh scallions & cilantro. Dan Dan Noodles - spicy noodles with sesame paste& minced pork. My kids especially liked it but it does have a slight spicy kick but not strong. Beware this one is oily, it was crunched in oil, see my pictures. Pork Pot Stickers - these were very flavorful & cooked to perfection, nice juicy dumplings with a slight crunch in the bottom. Scallion Pancake - flakey & soft, flavorful with a tasty dipping sauce. Tasted like the wrap on the Beef pancake wrap. Egg Yolk Buns - steamed delicious soft black bread with a juicy combination of egg yolk, butter and sugar. Be careful how you eat this one or you’ll get the liquid hot insides squirting all over your evening frock ? *the above are all dim sum sized portions, small in size but big in flavor. We shared a chocolate mousse for dessert, which was chocolate creamy deliciousness covered in shaved chocolate but with a denser frozen white cream in the center. Not your traditional chocolate mousse center but still very delicious (see pictures). I had the “Misty Rain” cocktail, which is a mixture of flavorful gin, longing tea & pear syrup. It was a refreshingly delicious well balanced simple tasting, lightly sweet drink that I would recommend. Be aware though that it is not served in the style of glass pictured in their drink menu illustration. The picture shows it being served in a standard 8oz acopa cocktail glass, but it was actually served in a 4 oz tea cup. I would have preferred the glass they have pictured on their drink menu. Next time we’re going to try more of the main entree dishes from the menu. We saw others enjoying what looked like really delicious food. We headed to a music show & my kids wanted a lite meal and could not resist ordering all the dim sum dishes. Tips: we were a group of 3 and if you have less than 4 people you aren’t able to get a reservation after 4:30pm. So we ate at 4:30pm. It was a bit early, next time we’ll invite someone to join us & get a later reservation. The food was reasonably priced for the area. We paid $127.61 including tax & tip for the food & drinks I listed (see picture of receipt for more details). I would definitely recommend this place for your next meal. The service was prompt & on point, and the decor was 1930s China, a beautiful eclectic mix.

Had the best dining experience with my family. We ordered a hodge podge of protein and veggie dishes. Everyone’s favorite was the egg yolk buns—we’ve never quite had something like this before. It was a wonderful savory and sweet combo. The Dan Dan noodles and eggplant were both superb and the three pepper chicken was very tender and a great spice level. The restaurant vibe was great except it was very loud and hard to have a conversation. Would definitely recommend though to someone looking for a great Szechuan spot!

Great Sichuan food! The cold appetizers were great - got the mouth watering chicken and pork belly in garlic dressing. Thought the pork belly was decent but the chicken was amazing. We also got the scallion pancake with beef and pork fried dumplings which were very crispy and flavorful - pretty standard. Mapo tofu was perfectly seasoned, not too spicy. The Chunking spicy chicken was pretty spicy, and I wish there was more meat jn the dish. But otherwise was good! Standard sichuan food at a great price with a nice ambiance.

Delicious Sichuan food. The jellyfish appetizer is quite unique. Cumin lamb was flavorful and delicious. The crispy fried grass fish had a very potent flavor if you're more adventurous. Steamed eggplant was nice and light even with the heaps of garlic and chili on top. For dessert, the galaxy custard buns were fantastic.
