Honestly.. I wish this was near home! I can’t say enough how good this restaurant is from the service to the food! Everything was exceptional with a beautiful atmosphere. Thank you to the staff who made this night amazing for us!

The best service we have ever had in NYC, our server Alicia and the rest of the staff were lovely. We very much enjoyed our meal!

I went with my daughter to the restaurant on 01/19/26 trying to have a good experience with her. We decided to go for the three course dinner, an unfortunately starting with my salad a long hair was in the plate. The restaurant had dim lighting and I didn’t see it until I felt it in my mouth. It was a horrible experience that ruined my whole dinner. I let the server know right away and he was embarrassed about the situation and took my plate right away. Right after he offered another salad and told me that the manager was aware and was going to take action. Unfortunately, the manager not just took a long time to come out to my table, he was careless about how I felt. I would a least expect an apology from him, something he didn’t do. With an arrogant attitude he asked me if he was requested by me. After a disgusting moment that I experienced, I deserved an apology, I wasn’t expecting free food but the way the manager handled the situation was very careless. A great moment that I was intending to have with my daughter ended up being an awful and disgusting experience.

An unforgettable night with the legendary John Cameron Mitchell live performance — Broadway magic up close and personal.😍 Paired with a Michelin-level dining experience by Chef John Fraser — every course felt like a standing ovation. From elegant bites to decadent desserts, it was truly dinner and a show in the most glamorous way. Follow me @foodie.elite on IG and Tiktok for more good finds.

We had dinner at Terrace and the vibes were amazing! The service was great and the energy inside was calm and inviting. The steak dish was our favorite!

The place is beautiful and the staff are very courteous and attentive. That is the only reason for the third star - I really should've taken photos of my food. The entrance is on the ground level with a smallish plaque outside the building indicating it's location and you take an elevator inside to the 9th floor. It is absolutely beautiful when you first walk in - the hostesses were very kind and even asked me if I was going to see a show later (I was and had put it in my resy) so they definitely pay attention to detail. I was seated in front of the garden area - I wanted to sit in there, but didn't say anything (I'm sure they would've accommodated me) and my table was quite nice anyway. I was immediately greeting and asked if I wanted water and my server came over and introduced herself. All of the staff were lovely. Food... I decided to do the Broadway Express (prefix menu) so I could get out of there sooner - I had made my reservation for 5:15 and had a show to see on 9th ave at 7pm. My appetizer was the yellowfin tuna carpaccio and it was terrible - I forced myself to eat it. It's not thinly sliced tuna as you would expect. It was pureed and pressed into the plate with a tiny bit of salt and cracked pepper. They then had olives that looked like someone had put them in a pestle, mashed them, then threw them on top. Not nicely sliced, but massive crushed green olives of all sizes. It was disgusting. I ordered the salmon with fingerling potatoes next. It was cooked the way I ordered it (medium rare), but the potatoes were sliced the way I would carrots when I'm quickly making a soup and don't care about presentation. It looked sloppy and hastily done - and they had a bit of a crunch. Seems like they hadn't been cooked enough. The "sauce" tasted okay, but it was very watery - mostly underwhelming. I had the apple pavlova for dessert - again, the apples weren't cooked all the way through and I gave it to my daughter to eat when she joined me towards the end of my meal so we could leave. All in all, it's simply not worth it. The price point for everything on the menu does not align with the quality. Everything is marked up to high hell and the food is simply not good. I won't be back.

The three of us spent a total of $330. This included a steak for $180 (tax and 18% tip included), a plate of pasta for $35 (tax and tip included), a bottle of water for $12, a small salad for $23, and a three-course set meal for $80. The set meal was quite disappointing. The first course was raw mushrooms—just four slices. The main course was pan-fried white cauliflower, followed by a dessert. Honestly, it didn’t feel worth the price at all. What’s more, the $35 pasta portion was surprisingly small—almost like a child’s serving—barely covering the bottom of the plate. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. The food isn’t satisfying, and you won’t leave feeling full.

Nice restaurant located right in the middle of Time square. The food over here is well prepared. The services is very good but their vegetarian options are limited. The focaccia is amazing, one of the best I have had. Make sure to take the eggplant caponata with it. Their butterscotch desert is delicious. The view during the non-winter season is amazing from the terrace. Definitely a place to try at least once.

Ambience was great. I felt transported to a secret garden. Overall not impressed. We ordered the roasted chicken, burger, bolognese and chocolate souffle for dessert. Chicken with sauce was salty. Pasta and burger were mediocre. Souffle was also ok.
Dec 26, 2025 -
We eat dinner there before heading to catch a broadway show. The food was good. We ordered the fococcia bread too start. That was our favorite thing on the menu. It was fresh baked with fresh mozzarella, Parmesean and herbs. I could have eaten that bread all night. We also ordered the salmon and roasted chicken, both were very well cooked. As an anniversary surprise (as we were celebrating year 18), they gave us a complimentary chocolate mousse filled with chocolate truffle and covered in chocolate genache. It was decadent. The added bonus is that it was only a 5 minute walk to the Hudson Theater from the restaurant. If you are in a time pinch, there is a prix fix selection specifically for Broadway show goers.

We attended the John Cameron Mitchell dinner show at Reservation 701 as a party of eight, hoping it would be a festive and memorable holiday gathering. Unfortunately, the evening fell short on multiple levels. The performance itself felt uneven and, at times, mediocre—lacking the sharp wit, emotional range, and theatrical spark one expects from an artist of Mitchell’s caliber. While there were moments of promise, they never fully coalesced into a compelling or engaging show. The dining experience further dampened the evening. The food did not meet expectations, especially considering the venue and the premium positioning of the event. Courses felt underwhelming in both flavor and execution, making it difficult to justify the overall price point. As a result, what we had hoped would be a celebratory holiday party ended up feeling flat and disappointing. That said, John Cameron Mitchell remains a uniquely talented performer, and we genuinely wish him success in his upcoming role in Hey, Mary! as Mary Lincoln. We hope that production will better showcase his trademark intelligence, humor, and creative edge—qualities that have made his past work so memorable. Overall, this dinner show did not live up to its promise, and we left wishing the evening had delivered more of the brilliance we know is possible.

One of the best restaurants I’ve tried in NYC! The food was absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but honestly worth every dollar. The interior design is stunning… elegant, modern, and so beautifully put together that it really adds to the whole experience. The service was great, the atmosphere felt upscale but comfortable, and we left the restaurant genuinely happy and satisfied. Definitely a place I’d come back to, and one I highly recommend!

We fine dine everywhere-what can I say other than mediocre very small portion food at highest prices. It’s a shame because the place is beautiful, and the service was very nice and attentive. But paying that amount for nothing special kind of food with a total bummer. We had steak and fries, the lamb chops, and the salmon all just ok. The oysters Rockefeller were very tasty and the special dessert chocolate soufflé was really good. The cocktails were decent. All in all they need to level up the main courses to match the prices and ambience.

Had there breakfast from Edition hotel. Amazing menu and delicious dishes- eggs Benedict, steak and eggs - just yummy! Very friendly and helpful staff who is checking on you but don’t overdo it! Amazing interior- just what you want for quiet and quick morning to start your day! Evening they have amazing bar with nice drinks and friendly bartenders

Amazing place, beautiful view of the Times Square, stunning decoration and customer service. The complete perfect experience with great music, cx, food and vibe. We went with one couple of friends and everybody love this place. The price is a little high but super worth it! I recommend to make a reservation earlier to guarantee you table and view.

We had the most wonderful experience celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely spectacular—attentive, kind, and always impeccable. The food was nothing short of amazing, each dish prepared with such care and flavor that made the evening feel even more special. What truly elevated the night was the elegance and warmth of the entire team. The waiters went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and the personal greeting from the manager was such a thoughtful touch that made us feel incredibly welcomed. The ambiance, the service, the food, everything exceeded our expectations. It was a night to remember, and we’re deeply grateful for the unforgettable experience. We cannot wait to return

It’s so quiet and dim, almost serene despite being right off Times Square. I don’t know why, but the chicken I had was possibly the best I’ve ever eaten - savory, perfectly crisped, and so juicy 🤌🏻 The appetizer and dessert were just as impressive.

Great place for a romantic dinner. Nicely decorated space with a lot of greenery and beautiful outdoor seating, relaxing atmosphere with plenty of room between the tables for private conversations. Delicious food with fast service makes it great choice for dinner before the Broadway show.

This place is absolutely dreamy - from the beautiful foliage, to the melt in your mouth food. But what was really standout was the above and beyond service we got from Eddie - he was so friendly, made delicious cocktails, and even went out of his way to give us a personal tour of the whole place. Will be back!
Aug 13, 2025 -
The first dish that we ordered was far below par, we ordered a 20$ salad called the tie dye salad and it consisted of 4 pieces of whole lettuce, 1 chopped up beet, and 3 blackberries with little to no dressing. However our main courses were slightly better, we ordered the broccoli cacio e Pepe and the king crab tagliatelle. The focaccia and the NY soufflé were by far the best dishes of the night, in summary you can find a much less expensive place to eat for same quality of food. I would not recommend this place unless you go for atmosphere, focaccia, and dessert alone.

I booked the $83 per person Sunday Garden Brunch and honestly, for NYC, it was great value -- the gin-based cocktail was refreshing, the main entrée was unique and yummy (mine didn't have enough hollandaise which is the whole point of a benedict so I just asked for more sauce), and the buffet is stunning -- the oysters were fresh and the champagne mignonnette is a great accompaniment. The desserts were good too. The staff were all friendly and lovely. I went alone and felt very taken care of and not rushed. There was no live band as promised on the website, though. The space is stunning -- it's nice to be "outside" but inside with AC in this heat. The actual outside is cute, too, and you forget you're right in Times Square! On staff recommendation I explored a floor up for the views and the lobby is beautifully designed, too.

Pleasantly surprised with food! Great avocado toast and Cobb salad! Cocktails were great! Service ok. I would highly recommend near times square' quaint and feels exclusive!

Great customer service. I made a mistake with my reservation, and they accommodated me anyway. The outdoor garden is beautiful and transports you out of New York. The brunch buffet was delicious and had a good variety of options. Our waitress Diana was amazing!!! The whole experience was a great one, and I would definitely come back. Giving 4 stars because while most of the food was delicious, not all was worth a 5 star rating.

Such a lovely place! Visited the restaurant for the first time and had an excellent experience. The food was a little pricey but everything was delicious, you get what you are paying for. Our server Nicole was absolutely attentive and such a sweetheart, even thought she was taking care of other parties as well. Will definitely be back for dinner.

We really enjoyed this venue! The ambience was calm, with ample space between tables. The decor is upscale and interesting without seeming pretentious. The food was delicious— we especially liked the bacon and the mini-pastries. The coffee is fantastic! Service was a bit slow so a meal took longer than expected but not a big deal and it was more than worth it. I would absolutely recommend this spot!

We had tickets to see Oh, Mary at 7:30pm on a Monday night. We wanted a different experience than your typical pre theater restaurant. All I can say is, WOW. From the moment we walked into the Edition Hotel, it felt like an oasis from the chaos of Times Square. We first went to the 10th floor for a drink. The bar is a beautiful inviting space, and a great start to the evening. At 5 p.m., we headed down to the 9th floor and were greeted by a very nice, friendly hostess. She led us into the main dining room. Which was elegant and inviting. I had requested the outdoor area but there was a private party going on. Let's just say the main room did not disappoint. Between the friendly service, delicious food, excellent presentation, and beautiful surroundings, the evening was epic. I highly recommend anyone to try The Terrace Restaurant. My only suggestion would be to up the dress code for the staff. The plain black t-shirt did not cut it. Regardless, this was a 5 star experience.

What a find during restaurant week. Great selection of good quality starters. Generous portion for steak and frites, superbly done and well marinated. Steak not as flavourful or charred as some steakhouses, but still well executed. Ambience is amazing with seating in the outdoor area highly recommended

This place is beautiful! We went to the Grand Saturday Brunch. The staff was pleasant & the table service was beyond exceptional. I'm sorry I didn't get the gentleman's man. But he was so attentive & went above and beyond. That's what makes me very happy at a meal service. He was amazing! Hope his dad is doing better. I would have liked more of a selection for such an expensive brunch. It was more breakfast than brunch. But we were celebrating a birthday & that's what the birthday girl wanted. Non-pork eater beware, about 2 or 3 of the mains had bacon on them, there were only 6 and two of the mains were salads. And only chicken sausage as another option. Which was a big problem for the non-pork eater with us. Understandably so. The food was good but could have been better for the price. The egg sandwich, the quiche, chocolate turtle balls & crab salad were very good. The desserts were ok. You only get one "complimentary" drink per person. That's not very brunch of them. The drinks were ok. I'm not really a gin girl. They should have had other options if I'm paying that much. The atmosphere & service are what did it for me. We had great company, so we were bound to have fun.
