Fish was excellent, but this place is astronomically overpriced. WOW, I feel so terrible for the people who live in this community. They are getting ripped off!!!

Went here and got the crab cake with coleslaw. Both were the best I ever had. People there were nice and helpful. Everything in the store looked fresh and can't wait to go again.

I called to check on shrimp availability, and Dorian herself answered the phone. She was incredibly nice, super helpful, and even took the time to share some tips on deveining shrimp. They offer $5 delivery in the neighborhood, which I did, and the shrimp was delivered to me within 20 minutes (crazy!). Can’t wait to use the shrimp for my shrimp cocktail tomorrow. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again!

Dorian and her staff hosted a dinner for cancer patients (including my wife) at Hope Lodge. Poached salmon was delicious. Great food and such an amazing gesture from Dorian and staff to volunteer to do this and bring such good food. If you’re local then please support this business.

I finally had a chance to stop by this store. The first thing that surprised me is the place didn’t smell at all. You wouldn’t even know there was fresh fish out. They have a good selection of fish and sauces. The prices are a bit higher, but the quality of fish is excellent. It tastes like the fish came out of the ocean that day. The staff is nice and helpful too. Glad to have this place in the neighborhood.

Just had their fish sandwich for lunch - omg it's amazing!! I love Dorian's! They are SO kind and professional and their selection is gorgeous and fresh. Love being neighbors with them!

Is it possible to eat well in NYC for under 10 bucks? Yes! Dorians fish fry sandwich is the best $9 you'll spend in the city. The cod is super fresh and cooked to juuuust done. Tender and meaty. And oh man, that slaw. Looking forward to going back for some of their pre cooked fish entrees (not brave enough to cook fish in my phone booth).

We have been getting fish from Dorian’s for nearly 20 years. It’s as good as it gets. It almost seems as if the fish jumped out of the water and onto the plate they taste so good. You could throw a dart at the menu and get anything it hits sent. Best in NYC.

I was on my way home from the hospital when I stopped by for a quick stop. As I was standing in line I was thinking how clean this place was when I had the pleasure of meeting Dorian. She is one of the best people I've ever met in my life. The quality of the food is exceptional. My mother-in-law loved the lovely note. Thank You and God Bless!

I like the shrimp here; for whatever reason they seem to cook better and taste better. (not as tough or chewy) I made mapo tofu with shrimp from here last night and it came out really well. (see picture)

Dorian's Seafood Market is an outstanding seafood store that has a great selection of fresh seafood. The quality of their products is exceptional, and their friendly and kind staff are always helpful and welcoming. Although the prices are not cheap, they are consistent with the high quality of the food, and you definitely get what you pay for. Overall, I highly recommend Dorian's Seafood Market if you are looking for high-quality seafood and excellent service.

I often go slightly out of my way to grab some of Dorian's finest seafood. Always worth the trip and and to add a quality dinner to the weeks menu always feels great.

This has to be a scam or front that only the UES would fall for. Almost $50 per lb for grey sole? Lol really? That’s a $24 per lb fish at MOST. The most overpriced fish market I’ve been to in the city. The quality isn’t ANY better than the average market. The selection isn’t anything to rave about either. So weird it’s still in business.

We order from them multiple days each week. If you want the best fish in the city, and you can afford to pay for the best fish in the city, this is your place. BTW - the service is terrific. I’ve gone into the store several times without identifying myself as a customer just to take a look at what looks nice on a certain day. Everyone is always happy to answer questions.

This place is our to go place for fresh seafood. Dorian (owner) is so pleasant and you cant find better and fresher sea food in the city. Staff is absolutely the best and the place is spotless. Highly recommended.

First visit? very helpful, tightly organized .. I floundered asking a vague question and pointing. Got my nice piece of fish. Owner gave gave me a encouragement not sales pitch?? will shop there and recommend.

I was reluctant to leave this review because I believe this is the best kept secret in New York. The seafood you can buy here is the best I have EVER had. The live lobster is succulent and extremely fresh, the shrimp is plump and the cocktail sauce a definite buy! Dorian is the friendliest owner. Cannot recommend enough.

My go to here is always the shrimp, crab cakes, and the lobster bisque. The place has been around from even before I was born and if you are a local on the Upper East Side then you have definitely paid a visit to Dorian's Seafood Market. The place is always very clean and doesn't have a bad fishy smell or anything. I definitely recommend getting your fish or fish related foods from Dorian's.

One of my favorite UES/Yorkville gems. Highly recommend popping in for all your seafood needs. The entire staff is just incredible. Pro-tip: call ahead and they'll prep an order for pickup or delivery.

First time shopping at Dorian’s, one customer let in at a time due to Covid. The proprietor was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Most outstanding was the quality of the wide variety of seafood, which was reflected in the prices. The counterperson was very accommodating and I was impressed that each parcel of fish was wrapped to carefully and labeled. My request for an ice pack to carry the fish home was granted and I was happy to learn they deliver to UES at no charge.

The BEST seafood market in the area and probably in the city as well. Incredible selection and everything is always so fresh. The service, from the people behind the counter to Mrs. Dorian herself, is always incredible and everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful. Came in recently looking for Mahi (which wasn’t out on display) and they informed me that they just got some in and they brought out a whole Mahi for me to look at, and then broke it down to my specs all while I waited. I refuse to buy seafood anywhere else in the city.

I am a chef here in the city, & my fish purveyor dropped the ball on an event I had coming up in a couple of days. I needed very specific help, & Dorian's Seafood came to my rescue. Ordered lobsters cooked to order. Dorian's delivered them promptly at no additional charge. Most important. They were DELICIOUS! Very nicely prepared. Obviously fresh and superb quality. I will definitely order from Dorian's again.

Today I found Dorian's Seafood and I won't be buying my seafood from anywhere else. They have a great selection and their product is incredibly fresh, I couldn't ask for better quality. I bought a tuna steak and Dorian was kind enough to offer a sample of the cocktail shrimp, both are amazing! Thank you Dorian, I'll be back soon.

Attention shrimp lover's!!! For the best cocktail shrimp in town visit or call Dorian;s Seafood Market. You will not be disappointed. I will not buy my shrimp anywhere else but at Dorian's. They are cooked a couple of times daily or more if orders call for it. Always fresh and delicious. For your next cocktail party or get together call Dorian's. I guarantee you will not go anywhere else.

The Employees surely take their jobs very seriously! The service and quality of the seafood is immaculate! They serve of the highest quality. Dorian's is one of the only places I'd buy or eat seafood! Two thumbs up from me!
