Brickman's is an amazing place. You can find so many things that it makes your head spin. The staff cannot do enough for you. Greg, one of the sales staff there was so kind to us that I must mention him in particular but everyone is wonderful. If you can't find an item there it's not worth having. Thanks, Brickman's!!!

Drove all the way to the store to pay for an order only to be told there would be additional charges.

The staff here is amazing! You can tell it’s a great culture inside this shop because everyone serves you like they want to be there. Yall stay present!

Great customer service and a wide variety of merchandise.

I was treated very poorly at this store. English is not my first language, and this type of item clearly requires very specific vocabulary that not everyone is familiar with. What I received, instead of genuine help, was impatient and disrespectful service that literally made me leave the store. Not only did I have to wait a long time to be assisted, but it was also clear that the employee had no interest whatsoever in listening to my request. I do not recommend this store to ANYONE, especially if you need extra understanding — whether because English is not your first language or because you are not very familiar with the subject of construction and other hardware store matters. I will never return again.

Had to pick up an online order here. The associate asked me my name and what I bought. He came out with my order, had me sign for it in less than 10 minutes

An extremely densely packed hardware store that’s likely got what you’re looking for. There were a number of employees ready to help me as well.

As soon as you walk into this store ,the employees greet you and ask, "Do you need help with something ?. I really like that they do that. You don't have to go looking for someone or walking around looking up and down the aisle, hoping to find what you're looking for.

On Saturday 6/14 at 4pm, we had an amazing experience at the key center with a kind woman who was efficient and brightened our day. Please keep her around! She’s a delight! Thank you Brickman’s

Oscar and the whole team at Brickmans Columbus Ave are super helpful. I love coming here, they have a great selection at fair prices, and the help and advice from everyone is nothing short of exceptional. Oscar always has a smile, always going out of his way to proactively help. I really really appreciate that, Brickmans really gets it. It's hard for me to imagine a better hardware shopping experience. The staff here are super friendly though I can't say that about all their customers :-) I also recently discovered the option of ordering online for in-store pickup. It worked flawlessly. Literally two minutes after ordering online I got a notification that my order was ready for pickup.

Super happy and feeling valued as a customer today when Shannon stopped what she was doing to assist me in changing the battery in my key fob. What could have been a stressful situation turned into a really positive experience while at ACE Hardware/Brickman’s. I will continue to shop here at my neighborhood ACE thanks to Shannon. We need more women in hardware ?

I called Ace Hardware, Upper West Side, about purchasing a door. The associate who answered was unbelievably rude. Throughout the call he talked down to me and was condescending and nasty. Finally he hung up on me. For the record I was completely polite, professional, and I gave him no reason to be rude. It was bizarre. If anyone at the store reads this, he said his name is Greg. I'll never shop there again.

Absolutely love the staff, and the fact that they are always fully stocked or if by chance they don’t have an item, they will order. They do so many things to accommodate customers that there are too many to mention. Thank you Ace

Best hardware store in Manhattan. Staff is always helpful and super friendly to my children. I have to give a special shout out to Greg, who went above and beyond to help us on a couple home improvement projects.

The store is conveniently located to my apartment, but these days, as long as I have time, I make it a point to shop elsewhere. Another bad experience today. Things are priced one way in the store, and then they ring up differently at the register. When you question the cashier about it, they're unwilling to acknowledge the correct price. This has happened consistently the last five times I've tried to buy something here. Used to be one of the best hardware stores in the neighborhood. No longer.

I was greeted at the door by Greg, salesman of the century! He set my cart aside, and helped me choose almost $500 worth of tools to stock a new home fix~it kit for my son's family. Wise counsel helped me save a little money, and we had some fun in the process. The cashier opened the door for me as I left. Outstanding, professional service! This appears to be the standard of service at Ace wherever I go. Give them a try!

I like this location. As always the staff are helpful and courteous and the place is loaded with all the useful hardware tools.

Under new owners. The prices are lower and the place is very organized and cleaner. Get off Amazon and support local business Karan, Yzaak and Greta and Greg are all very helpful.

I did my first ever paint job by myself and was nervous. But Lasso (not sure how to spell his name) was so helpful. He calmly explained everything to me and helped me choose all the right supplies. He was very patient and helpful. This store seems to be under new management but I am not sure. They have a great assortment of cleaning supplies, paints, hardware items. Very pleasantly surprised because my previous experiences there were not great.

Kinda everything you need for a small project. A surprising resource in a local store in the city.

Ajo and its staff have kept me well stocked during these past few months of the quarantine. They are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I've had a number of home projects to manage, and being absolutely unskilled at any of it, it was nice to have their expert opinion. I received guidance without condescension, which I appreciated the most. Highly recommend!

Tried to have a custom door made at three different HomeDepot locations, it was like jumping high walls. Finally I tried Ace Hardware store, Tali the manager took care of it. She knows precisely how to write the spec and had the shop put it together within short time. It fit beautifully in my apartment. There is nothing like a well run neighborhood hardware store that has wide knowledge, good referrals and reliable connections. Most importantly, it is personable and helpful. Thanks Tali!

I LOVE AJO. The service and caring at this hardware and home store is unsurpassed! I uploaded a photo of this hand sanitizer to pictorially show their great customer service. I LOVE their manager, Tali. I came in and we were talking about the current situation. I was complaining about hand sanitizers. She shows me what she is using, gives me squirt of her own private sample and makes me feel special, cared for and understood. I purchased the product below because of her great customer service. I love the product, I love the customer service at AJO and I love AJO!

Staff at Ace is doing a great job - line management, paint mixing, and getting things down from high shelves. I didn't know you could call ahead and have them prepare your order (which I recommend) but a visit in their store was well managed and socially distanced! They sell paint samples and gallons (~$40) at the same price as other hardware stores like Aquarius True Value, except they have a wider selection. Definitely call ahead to see if they have the base paint for the color you want. If you pay with cash, you can get a small discount too!
