I’ve been going to Ai for two years now for cut and color as well as some add on services. The service is great and the keratin treatment she gave me was life changing.

I unexpectedly had a few free hours in New York City and realized I had been in desperate need of a hair cut. I walked in off the street and asked for an appointment and they were able to accommodate me immediately. I was so thankful! They give you a scalp massage while washing your hair. The people who do your hair here really care about your hair and what is best for you. I was really happy I took their advice. I would recommend stopping by. A woman’s hair cut was $90 but it was well worth it

Jason gave me a layered cut and did an amazing job balancing what I wanted with what would actually suit me. He was also incredibly kind! It’s been a while since I’ve walked out this happy with my hair. RECOMMEND!

I paid $130 for the haircut to look worse. I asked for a versatile, natural hairstyle but he gave a cut that requires product to keep in place. We agreed upon an inspo photo and I was told he can deliver it, but instead he made me look like Bert from Sesame Street. Now I need to wear a hat into work for the next month till it grows out.

Mimi is a hair magician. I came in with a bob and wanted something more choppy and layered and she gave me the most beautiful haircut - she took time to listen to what I wanted and shared what she was going to do and then gave me one of best haircut ever received- the salon itself is low key, clean, and cool. Definitely will be returning. Book with Mimi - she is truly gifted !

Jason cut my daughter’s hair and Lola gave her a conditioning mask. Both of them were super nice and did a fantastic job! 💞🙌🏼 Will definitely go back next time we’re in NYC!

Amazing haircut from Jason! He listened to exactly what I wanted/didn't want and checked with me to make sure the lengths were OK a few times during the cut. I have medium-thick long straight hair that hadn't gotten a proper cut in almost a year. Jason worked with me and shaped it up so nicely despite me being stubborn about keeping the length. Bonus- he didn't force conversation which was SO appreciated ❤️ iykyk

GO TO JASON!! Hands down the best designer not just in New York but in the US! I got a perm and got the exact style that I wanted. He listens to what you really want and will get you that result. Highly recommend Jason to get your hair!

I got my hair done by Jason and absolutely love the result! He listened carefully to everything I asked for, from soft layers to lightening my style, and did it perfectly. He also gave me great advice on how to make my hairstyle look even prettier. I’ve had a hard time finding a great hairstylist in the U.S., but I’ll definitely be coming back to him for future styles!

I’ve been their client for over two years now and I can say that it’s a very good hair salon full of professionals. Nice looking, in the middle of the city. Always welcoming, and they always listen to you, and help you figure out what you want if you’re not sure. Yesterday I randomly decided that I want to change my hair color before a concert that’s today. I don’t know how but I was able to make an appointment with Nick and it went great! He helped me choose the right color, his assistant made sure that my scalp is clean and nice (red colors are no joke yk). I’m very happy to be cherry again and I’m SO ready for the concert! I appreciated the location and interior of the salon. They were efficient and even when I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment they immediately went into the hair service. My hair stylist was Nick and even when we used an interpreter he completely understood what I was looking for with my haircut (long bob with layers for added volume). He was super attentive - I definitely recommend him for anyone looking to make a big cut.

First time at New Hair. The customer service was on point. I got a barber cut and down perm from Jason. He really knew exactly what I wanted and the down perm turned out really well. I really liked how he first examed my hair status and shape first before I got my hair washed. He was very gentle with the whole process and answered every question I had about my overall hair style and what style I wanted. I would definately visit again and highly recommend to anyone that want a down perm and sleek bangs. Also he is really good with small talk so the 1:40minutes with him was really fun!

Can confirm all of the reviews about Jason are totally spot on! I looking for a trim and keep the “bounce” of my layers. I didn’t have pictures but Jason made sure we look at a few together so I can react to some of them and he can get a better idea of what I am looking for. Once we got on the same page (really quickly) - he took care of the rest. I’m happy with the result 💕

Just got a haircut today, and I’m genuinely thrilled with how it turned out. The barber took the time to really listen to what I wanted, and even gave a few suggestions that made the style look even better than I imagined. The attention to detail was amazing – from the clean fade to how the top was styled, everything was on point. I walked out of the shop feeling super fresh and confident, which doesn’t happen often for me after a haircut. If you’re looking for someone who actually gets your style and knows what they’re doing, I’d 100% recommend this place.

It was my first visit today, and I’m really happy with the experience. Jason did a super detailed job with my root coloring — the color blended so naturally and beautifully with the rest of my hair. He was incredibly kind and made me feel very comfortable throughout the appointment. I already feel like I want to become a regular. Highly recommend!

Before the hair cut, I was able to discuss with Jason, my hairstylist, first about the hair cut that I want and the style he thinks it would suit me best. This was my first time here. I was really nervous but it came out amazing. Great hair cut, great conversation. My hair feels light and lovely. Will be coming next time I need another cut!

Worst haircut I’ve ever gotten in my life. I had to stop the woman mid haircut because she cut my bangs and was leaving random long pieces of hair out. I asked for a trim and to “clean up my haircut” and she didn’t understand. I should have walked away the minute she started drying my hair before cutting it and making me type into her phone to translate what I was saying. She butchered my hair. The receptionist was great and tried to have someone else fix it but there was no salvaging my hair from this woman Sol. I’m going to have to go get a bob from a different hair salon because my hair is now awful and completely uneven. The person who tried to fix it only made it worse. To be clear this is what my hair looked like after they got someone else to “fix it”. DO NOT GO HERE! Or at least don’t don’t use a woman named Sol. I wish i could post a video to show just how awful it looks because pictures don’t do it justice.

It was my first time getting my hair done at NEWHAIR, and their stylist Celine did such an amazing job! I had long hair with damaged ends, so I decided to do get layers to make my hair look cleaner and lighter. I appreciated that Celine took the time to communicate with me throughout the whole process, making sure we’re on the same page. She also gave me helpful tips on how to style my hair! I absolutely love how my hair turned out, and definitely would come back in the future and get my hair done with Celine again. 디자이너님 감사합니다 <3

Ara is the best hairstylist in nyc!!! It always took ages to find the right salon whenever I moved to a new country or city. You know It is quite stressful to try every single salon untill you find the right one as you have to spend or waste your time, energy and money but Ive already found the best stylist for my hair after only one try! I highly recommend if you want to get balayage. You will have NO regrets for sure.

I am pretty loyal to NewHair. I've gotten long cuts (from lower back to shoulder length) and full balayages. Definitely worth the travel from NJ and money. She brings my hair to life and always understands what i want. My hair is slightly complicated - mostly wavy and some coils but straightens out with length and weight. I've never been disappointed and always love my hair after coming from here.

Super satisfied with their service. Professional, clean, organize, most importantly hospitable. The variety of beverage complimentary is such a nice gesture and thoughtful. Remembering depends on what kind of service you get and how long you’d be spending time there. It shows how much the business care for your experience. I booked a root perm today by Megan. She is a hair magician. After witnessing how much work her and the nice assistant put today, the service consider very quick. I started at 11am and finished by 2:30ish pm. That is a lot of time for one service. But I could tell how much she’s passionate about what she does and she listened what I really need. So thank you Megan and her nice assistant, I forgot her name. She made sure I am comfortable during the process. Just go! You’ll thank me.

Got my hair cut and colored by Sarah, and so happy I did ! The service they provide is amazing and Sarah really knows what she's doing to bring your vision to life- along with giving her input. Everyone is so nice and I felt very catered to during my first visit there.

My decision to cut my hair was very spontaneous. No one from my family even knew I was making this big decision considering how long my hair was. (Pictures attached) I called and was lucky enough to get an appointment. Walking in I was so nervous to cut my hair - i usually always get small end-trims but never a big chop. However, My stylist named KEIKO was wonderful. As she started to cut my hair I LITERALLY started tearing up - and she was so sweet about it and comforted me the entire way. She was patient and extremely professional. I felt really safe. I have never been happier with my hair. I feel beautiful! My family and friends Absolutely LOVE IT! All thanks to Keiko :)

The place is clean and modern. The customer service is also great! They’re friendly and accommodating. They offer hair consultation prior to booking you hair treatment so you’ll know which service do you need. I got Lorenzo as my hairstylist. He is very professional and friendly.
