I thought I reviewed this location. I've never had an issue with this bank and... i think i might be the annoying customer :-( lol. I just budget weird). I cant say it enough, ive been to dozens of citi banks. This staff is extremely patient. Jack is one of the fastest tellers at this branch. I just think that this is how customer service is supposed to be. Reading some of the comments below im wondering if theyre reviewing wrong branch or if there is some bias in some of these reviews. I say this as someone who worked in customer service for 10 plus years and i took it serious. This is a damn good staff. Ive literally had every teller and manager at this branch at some point and ive never had an issue.
I came to this location to sit down with a personal banker regarding some issues I was facing with my account. I was helped by employee Jack Zhang at the branch who was highly passive aggressive and rude as he dealt with my transaction. I didn't feel respected as a customer at this branch and probably will not be going back here again.
On top of that, the branch was severely understaffed and the wait times in order to be seen are very lengthy.
Terribly managed bank. I had fraud issues with my account and they spent weeks giving me the runaround and pretty much refusing to help. Maybe they just don't know what they are doing. After 5-6 visits and getting nowhere, often waiting over an hour in an empty bank, I decided to try the Canal St. branch and they helped me with everything I needed in one visit. This place is legitimately a joke.
Citi Bank closed my account without warning and without any explanation. I called customer service which advised me to go to my branch which is this location. I spoke to a branch representative and they still had no answers except ill get a check for my Remaining balance in 60 days. What type of bank does this to their loyal clients. I received no warning not even an apology. I will be filing a complaint with the bbb and seeing if I can further investigate this since CITI Bank has no answers for me. This has been a hassle as all my direct deposits, checks, and bills are linked to my account. NEVER BANK WITH CITI BANK!
Went to get a document notarize and was told by Rachel Wang because I did not have account there she couldn’t do for me. I mention to her that my wife has an account there, which I’m listed on listed as the second person. She told me the only primary person on the account could get it done. I asked policy stating notarized procedures, and I was told that is the discretion of the person that is doing the notary
it's a bank...you do banking stuff. but I'm definitely not a fan of the new asian tellers. they always look like they have an attitude or don't want to help. they're not friendly nor are they welcoming. they need to have better customer service.
Very kind and helpful manager by the name of David Salcedo . He never hesitates to help me and my family whenever I stop by . The first time I met him I didn't even know he was the manager and I needed help with something that troubled me, Well he truly solved the problem. I am really grateful that he is there to be a huge help and always greeting everyone with a huge smile. Thank you David for your kindness :)

This bank need to be more diverse as in getting ready for different cultures holiday!

Don’t go this location. The service very bad. We’re costumer long time. I need to deposit to my company account LLC but I forget bring a card. Usually, l have an account number and I did it before different locations on the upper east side. I just tell him for account number.I don’t know what going on this location. Don’t go this location!!!! I’m so upset.
Usually got someone opening the door for people asking for money. Then they have those random nights when you can see the homeless sleeping inside. Oh and make sure you check your money after it comes out the ATM because sometimes the money is torn up.
Walked in to open a bank account a few months ago when I first moved to the city. Zakiya's service stood out to me as she helped me with an account. The manager of the branch came over and greeted me to make sure I received everything I needed. Great service from this branch.
I have been banking with citi for over 20+ years and today's adventure was the most absurd. I recently sorted thru a large jar of change and brought the rolls of coins into be deposited. There was of course some extra in quarters that wouldn't totally fit into a roll (about $5 in quarters) and they refused to deposit it. The teller kept saying she would not take it and yelled to take it off the counter. Hello! Coins are money- money is legal us tender- this is a COMMERCIAL BANK. Years ago, I had a teller hand sort thru a large jar of change at the union square location (which was not necessary but very kind). The WORST customer service at this location- do better guys. Other banks have whole machines for this- you just have nasty attitude.
Seriously terrible service here. Opened an account over 6 months ago. Never got the opening bonus that was promised. Came here over 10 times trying to get this fixed. The manager is nowhere to be found and the personal banker can’t even tell me the email to reach him at. Completely useless and unacceptable. A waste of space really.
Service is so bad, manager is very condescending. During my long wait to see the manager, I met 4 customers with unresolved issues. I going to close my account after almost 30 years with Citibank because of their treatment to me and other customers.
Understaffed and unmotivated. One banker is there some of the time. All other staff claims they are unable to open new accounts. I've gone by 3 times now and no one is ever qualified or available. No one answers the phone so don't bother trying to call to make an appt. to schedule a visit. The online site is a software nightmare. I can't even get this bank to open an account for me. I'd say there only positive is that the cashiers at the window seemed pleasant though they gave me wrong information regarding appointment availability.
Worst branch ever went to open a joint personal account with my husband & the banker took over an hour all the banker did is took our information never confirmed account was opened when you call no one answer the phone don't waste your time coming to this location these people are under staffed and act like they don't know doing worst experience ever
Very good all times I come here. I don't have no complain about it. And thanks all the employees because they all the time have a answers to your questions.
Had a dreadful experience here. My mother used to always volunteer to put in a check of mine if she was running to the bank anyways, never had a problem. One day my mom informs me that Citibank records show my check was deposited into HER account, and that her check was cashed and taken out at the teller window. This was absolute bologna! My mother never operates that way, she always deposits a check and leaves it in her savings. Also, my mother is very meticulous about such matters and would Never mix up my check with hers.
So she and I approached the head of this Grand St. CITIBANK branch. When we explained that someone from the bank Must have stolen the money and we demanded it back, she told us we could not be helped and that the error was somehow ours. My mother and I were NOT taking that as an answer. So we told them we were going to small claims court to retrieve our $150. Shortly after that statement, we received a check from Citibank for the money that was stolen. WHAT A HORRIBLE BRANCH!!
