I brought my Samsung S24 to this shop only to ask whether a battery replacement was possible. The phone was fully functional with no issues - the battery was just draining a bit faster than expected. The technician (Turkish man) charged me $76 for the battery replacement. I paid on Sunday, Jan 18, and was told to come back Wednesday, Jan 21, and that he would call or text once the battery arrived. No call. No text. After calling multiple times with no answer, he finally picked up and told me to come in Thursday instead. He replaced the battery Thursday morning around 11 AM. By 7 PM the same day, my screen started glitching with green lines, and within minutes the display went completely black and unresponsive. I returned Friday morning, and the response I got was: “It’s not my fault because it worked when you left.” This is unacceptable. My perfectly working phone was returned to me damaged, likely due to improper repair and/or counterfeit parts. When I pushed for a solution, the same technician said he could try to fix it - but only if I paid $300+ for a new screen plus labor, which is close to the cost of a new phone. To make things worse, I asked if it was possible to recover my data (photos, videos, notes, passwords, contacts). He “played with it for a bit,” then said it couldn’t be done. After that, the phone completely died, and all my data is now permanently lost. This shop: *Damaged a working device *Uses or installs low-quality / counterfeit parts *Refuses responsibility *Offers no refund or accountability *Shows the same behavior described in other reviews At this point, the only option is to warn others. Do not bring your phone here unless you’re willing to risk losing it entirely. Avoid this place.

They did not fix my phone screen and then refused to refund. They also did not open until 11:30am on a Friday and made me wait outside for 15 minutes while they “got ready”

I accidentally cracked the back glass of my iPhone and it also needed a battery replacement, so I was nervous walking in. Volkan was able to fix in just an hour and was very nice and approachable! When I went to pick up my phone, it seemed to not work though for some reason and Volkan graciously re-examined my phone to assure me that physically it was all good now and eventually he was able to fix the issue (something about settings). Thank you!

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid This Place I brought my iPad Pro 13-inch to iPhone Repair NYC on Thursday, November 13th 20225. The device was working perfectly except that the battery didn’t last as long as before. I simply wanted their professional opinion. The technician (Turkish man) immediately recommended a battery replacement for $170, claiming it would be an original Apple battery. I agreed, and he told me the iPad would be ready the next day. The next day I received a call saying there was a delay and I had to come on Saturday instead. We agreed on 1:30 PM. When I arrived, the store was completely empty. I waited two hours before anyone showed up. When I finally received my iPad back, the technician casually told me it would no longer charge past about 60%. I asked several times if this was a problem, and he reassured me “100%” that it wasn’t. I left New York the next day. The iPad worked for two days before the screen went totally black. It no longer turns on at all—not even the Apple logo appears when plugged in. I contacted the shop immediately. Their response: “It’s not our fault because it worked when you left.” This is simply untrue; they had already told me it wouldn’t charge beyond 60%, which is clearly a sign something was damaged during the repair. Once back in the Netherlands, I took the iPad to an official Apple-certified repair center. They reviewed the device and sent me detailed photos showing: • amateur, careless workmanship • old glue not removed • extremely short adhesive strips used to reattach the screen (clearly cutting corners to save money) • and worst of all: the so-called “original Apple battery” I paid for is actually a cheap Chinese battery. I gave iPhone Repair NYC two full weeks to offer a reasonable solution. Their answer was either: 1. ship the iPad back to them at my own cost (over $120 each way!), or 2. accept no refund. At this point, I see no other option but to warn others. I strongly recommend that no one goes to this shop. My working iPad was returned to me damaged, fitted with counterfeit parts, and the business refuses to take responsibility.

I was able to get an appointment on the same day I called for a battery replacement and back glass replacement. The owner is very friendly and informed me on how to preserve the battery’s lifespan.

Great place! We needed to replace our iPhone 14 screen, and he took not more than 10 mins. He’s also relatively cheaper than other places. Would recommend!

I am changing my original review. Do not go. Better go to Apple Store. They do not keep their words on the 3 months warranty. I initially went to fix a broken screen. The person who worked there at the time seemed knowledgeable and price was good, warranty was good. They fixed my screen and I did not have time to do a thorough check on site. The same day, I noticed discoloring in the dark for black colors, and the notification/control tab not working because the new screen cannot detect touch on the corners. I had no additional physical damage. I wanted to go in before my warranty ended. They did not want to take a look at it again, and said that it is not covered by warranty. And said I damaged my phone when I did not. I am disappointed. Someone may reply and say that I got my phone fixed at different location, or spam, but I can assure you I did not. Feel free to reply and ask any questions. The original staff who helped me was kind and helpful. But when I called again before my warranty ended, the owner refused to fix my screen, when it is supposed to be covered under warranty. My original comment: Fixed my broken screen, very good warranty, friendly staff!

He fixed my phone display in 10 minutes and offered a very fair price for it compared to the scammers at Apple. You will not be disappointed!

Never had broken my phone before and have trust issues lol.. but Volkan is amazing at what he does and was able to fix the back glass of my iPhone 13pro in about an hr. Very accommodating. Came right in on a Saturday and had every color available too. He knew I was very picky and made it look brand new! Hopefully I never have to come back but if anything else happens I’ll definitely come back here again

Great little shop! Volkan was super helpful and fast. He had the protector and case I needed and set everything up for me in 5 mins. To get to the shop you have to go into an office building and up the escalator, but you can just walk in off the street with no appointment or anything.

I needed an Ipad screen replacement - which if you know you know, Apple charges about $500 and just tells you to buy a new one. He was able to replace it within a couple of hours for a very fair price. The studio is super clean and nice with a couch if you need to wait - just really professional and kind. 10/10 would absolutely recommend and come back. Thank you!!

I came minutes before closing time thinking I wouldn’t get the repair but he replaced the screen of both my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my iPhone SE in barely 20 minutes. Not only was he fast but he checked in with me whenever he noticed something like that my phone had a little water damage. He didn’t pressure me into any unnecessary repairs either. In the end I was even a few dollars short and offered to pay back the rest in card but he refused. Overall a great and speedy experience. Thanks!

This guy is amazing! He was supposed to close but I asked if he could wait 5 mins and if I paid him $200- could he do it… he agreed. He finished as quickly as I arrived, and when I gave him the $200- he returned the correct change for the job!!! His story is that of a Cinderella story. I would give this iPhone repair business 10 stars if I could. I have an old iPhone 7 that was still in mint, new-like condition until I dropped it yesterday while hailing a cab. The screen shattered. I texted the number provided on the website and got a quick response with a quote and a time to visit the shop. I was greeted warmly and courteously by Volkan. He repaired my phone in 15 minutes, suggested that I add a screen protector (which I gladly accepted), and handed me my device back like new. You’ll never know it was repaired. All of this for half the price Apple charges. I am impressed with Volcan’s professionalism and his quality of service. I highly recommend him.

Worst service ever for overcharge! My phone looked so damaged after repair. The guy could not even explain properly what was done. I showed him every damaged detail he did, and the only answer i got was that my phone was already damaged before repair and he did his best. (please refer to pictures). There is glue everywhere, camera lenses look worse, and he damaged the frame where volume buttons are. My phone with broken glass before repair looked way better than this. $140 paid was not worth it. Reply for your reply: all you said is not even true. I never said to replace only back glass. I asked to fix my phone and also said that volume buttons dont work, the guy said he would check them too. He never said about fixing the whole back housing!!! He barely said anything to me regarding the job. It is very unacceptable to lie showing people you did fair thing, although it is not true.

Volkan at iPhone Repair NYC was a lifesaver! The iPhone 6s that I have posted a photo of was in bad shape - the screen was completely cracked and other places (including the Apple Store) were going to charge me upwards of $130 to replace the screen. Volkan was able to do it for almost half the price! ... Volkan was very kind and professional - his shop was clean and convenient - right near Grand Central. I was in & out in less than 15 minutes with an essentially brand new phone.
