I came to chase bank this morning for assistance with my account. The representative at Chase bank was nasty and abrupt. She would not let me speak and kept cutting me off. I have been with Chase for 30 years and never saw the madness of the disrespectful representative. I'm retired and all 3 of my pensions come to Chase. I get more money than she gets paid on a monthly basis. The world is changing and the kind of people working now are cold and indifferent. However, people that serve the public need to be mindful of how you treat people even if you don't like them because of their "RACE."
The genius that approved the removal of half the ATM machines at every Chase branch in the area should be removed from any position of authority at the bank.
The ATMs have been gone for months now with no proper communications or announcements of their expected return so at this time it seems the bank thinks it is normal to spend 10 - 20 minutes waiting on line. Well it is NOT.
This coupled with the so-called temporary reduction of hours of service announced because and during the pandemic but never reinstated makes banking at Chase increasingly less convenient, specially after work
The customer service here is impeccable! I needed a document notarized over my lunch break and stopped by. The gentleman who greeted me politely informed me that there might be a short wait but he would try his best to find someone. Within a few moments, he returned with a smile and walked me over to a notary public. The service while getting my document notarized and while entering/leaving the bank was amazing! As a chase client, I am so happy to see smiles and basic manners at a bank. It is rare to see that in many places! Thank you for making my day - it is so cold outside right now but a smile, politeness and some warmth is all you need! Thank you!!
I’ve been coming into this branch to get a cashiers check for rent once a month for a year and half since it is above Penn Station and I commute from there. They are very professional and friendly but it has always felt a little cold. I figured this is an “in transit” branch and not your super friendly neighborhood Chase where you bring your dog and recognize the teller each time you visit. Totally acceptable for routine transactions though.
About two months ago, I put in a dispute regarding a large transaction on vacation. I had been working to get this claim resolved for about 60 days and I was very frustrated. While in my office one day last week I called the Claims Resolution line for an update. The representative I spoke to told me even though I sent over supporting documents I still had to submit a questionnaire. He explained that I would need to visit a branch in person to ensure the documents were received as quickly as possible.
After work, I headed over to the only Chase branch I’d done business with in the city; 2 Pennsylvania Plaza. I walked in and asked to speak to a banker. The associate at the front door asked me what I needed help with. I explained I was trying to resolve a claim and I had been directed to visit a branch and speak with a banker (I was very tired from work and I didn’t give the clearest answer). About two minutes later, he directed me to an office in the corner. The banker, Mayoor Desai, introduced himself. He asked me to explain what happened. I did and he seemed familiar with the situation so he made a call to the claims department on my behalf. Once he was able to reach a representative, there were several minutes of back-and-forth, confusion around what documents had actually been received, and if I had done all that was required to resolve the claim. He even asked to speak with a manager to ensure I had the correct information.
Mayoor took an entire hour out of his busy day to assist me with a duplicate charge from two months ago. While we sat together waiting for an update from the phone representative he gave me tips on how to use the Chase app, how to use the built-in credit tools, and all the services available to banking customers. All of this while repeatedly advocating for me on the phone with the claims back office. He was finally able to determine I had submitted all necessary documents and my claim was officially under review. He gave me his card and said goodbye. My train was due to leave in about seven minutes, so I dashed out the door.
This morning, as I prepared to call the claims department and follow up,
I pulled out his card in case they asked me who I spoke with in the branch. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered Mayoor is an Assistant Vice President and a private client banker. Mayoor handled my minor transaction with the utmost care and patience. He wasn’t indifferent or scripted. He was genuinely supportive and made me feel valued as a young customer who isn’t very wealthy and established. I still mattered to him 🫶🏾. Who would
think a branch VP would be so understanding and approachable. He made it clear that every Chase is your “neighborhood bank” when you are their customer. My claim was resolved today. I’m not sure if Mayoor’s advocacy influenced that but I’d like to think it did🥹.
This Security have a mad attitude, if you hate your job that much don't do it! He's miserable human being ,I came in trying to do some banking ,the door were stuck cause the doors problems and he were yelled at me for asking why the door won't open? like seriously all you got to say was there's and issues all he do was on his phone and pay no mind to his job.Chase better be more selective with the security ,is meant to provide a safety not a hefty attitude.
I went here to make a quick deposit but the branch manager, Sila Velasquez, struck up a conversation with me and showed me some cool new savings features on the Chase app! Staff was really nice!
Has signs all over saying open during construction but that’s actually not true. ATM lobby is locked and can’t be accessed with your ATM card. A lot of dust too during construction, why subject your health to such exposure, best to avoid until they clean up the mess (could take years).
Sharon was exceptional with her customer service. Very professional and mannerly. I was in and out swiftly and smoothly. Overall I have never had a bad experience here. Everyone has always been obliging and polite.
Great credit to Chase bank.
I came in, there was an attendant standing right there, who asked me what I needed. I was set up with a teller right away and was out of there in less than 10 minutes!
What a terrible bank, In town from New Zealand, asked how I get some cash, told me to use ATM, then when I asked if I could get some smaller notes and coins what told sorry we dont do that here, you have to find somewhere else - Great way to support your tourist. happy to take my 3 dollar bank fee, but give no support or help.
David Lewis was very helpful! My checks got eaten by the machine and he helped solved the problem so that I would get my claim approved in less than 12 hours...I would say a very helpful experience.
Honestly with all the hating on here I was nervous. I came up and met with a banker in 45 seconds to get my Chase. Rich Hemmings was particularly great! Very appreciate his good work.
I received mail from Chase Bank and went to that bank. The guy who gave me service not really understand or referring to form which is correct or not he don't know. He told me if it is not correct bank will be contact you.
Last Year, Similar case, I went to chase bank ( Steinway ) , the employee helped me to solve out within 15 min.
I just wondering Chase Bank in Manhattan is less experience employee nor service than Chase Bank in Queens.
Very good customer service at this branch, I was very thirsty and I asked for the bank representative that greeted customers if they have water to drink, he says we do not have a water fountain but I can bring you a bottle of water, I am amazed that a company would go so far to please the customer, I would definitely use Chase bank in the future for all my personal and business banking.
This specific location provided the best customer service out of all the Chase branches I have been too. I did a walk-in appointment and waited only five minutes to speak to a representative. The clerk, Eddie, was excellent and outstandingly professional! He cleared up the issues and misunderstandings I had, immediately. The MSG Chase bank is seriously underrated, and I hope people start to see what great staff, this place has. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
The mta machine got my check and never deposited the check, now I call the bank and they said it will take 10 business day to investigate de claim.... the worst situation ever happened to me
SLOWEST SERVICE EVERRRRR. EXPECT TO WAIT AT LEAST 25 MINUTES TO BE SEEN BY A TELLER. MIND YOU THERE ARE FIVE TELLERS BEHIND THE COUNTER. I GIVE THEM 2 STARS BC THEY'RE BANKERS DOWNSTAIRS ARE OKAY.
Worst chase bank I have ever been to in America, 24 people on line right now and two tellers are open this is a joke. What kind of customer service is this!
I would not advise anyone to open an account at this branch. You have to wait a very long time and they have very poor customer service. Stay away from this bank....
