Great place to ride to the “beach” for a Manhattan kid.

Wow! Did not know that NY City had a place like this. Loved the sand area and playground with a small water park like. Love watching kids enjoying themselves.

Finally built. The direct Hudson access is so nice.

Amazing Footy usually - but not if you fall on your head loose consciousness and all your memory of that day but also your ability to make any new memories. Luckily the field is new and soft with long turf and lots of plastic granulate.

Very nice place! Along Hudson River Park. Hand sands and waves.

Great place to chill and spend time by the water It’s a man made beach the gag is you can’t get in the water and that’s good too The bathrooms are fairly clean but barely have soap and tissue so I brought my own wipes and tissue and helped a few women with soup and wipes so they could use the facilities

The beach has finally come to Manhattan and it is AWESOME!! Bring your towel and don't plan to swim but enjoy the clean sand, sturdy umbrellas and Adirondack chairs--abd walk a short .25 mile to an amazing food court at Pier 57!! Lucky to be a beach-loving Manhattanite☺️

New York City has a lot of incredible things going for it, but the public parks are some of the nicest and best kept in the world. This is no exception. It’s amazing to see something this special in the middle of such a dense, urban landscape. We’re fortunate beyond measure.

What a great spot! Features 5.5 acres of spectacular waterfront views, a beach (they brought in 1200 tons of sand!) a soccer field, dog park, outdoor gym, and a giant row of lounge chairs situated perfectly to watch the sunset 🌆

This place is a nice public park 🏞️ and beachfront! 🏖️ The Gansevoort Peninsula is a newly opened waterfront 🌊 outdoor space with sand ⛱️ and seating! 🪑 It includes a athletic 👟 field. 🏑 This spot has a fantastic view 🪟 of the City 🏙️ and is the perfect spot to unwind 🧘‍♂️ and relax! 😌 I wish I came here more often!

This place has become one of my favourites, such a nice view in the daytime and as well as at the night.

This is my new happy place I highly recommended if you're feeling low to sit here with the sun on your face and your feet in the looking at the water will definitely lift your spirits.

Clean "beach." Hope it stays that way. Close to Little Island. Both free. Good vibes. Great views. Fun to make a day of it. Bring food. No parking

This place bring a beautiful experience, it has a nice view of the river side.

Finally open! There are a beach, lounge area, soccer fields, even a marsh with native plants. Perfect spot for a romantic sunset in the big apple. Restrooms are not open yet.

Pristine sand, Adirondack chairs and umbrellas, adjacent grassy hill offers more lounging space… views of Little Island to the north and the glittering expanse of downtown to the south. Full-sized soccer field. Just delightful!

Beautiful new open public space along the Hudson! Love the addition of sand and beach chairs. Not too far from the 8th Ave ACE/L Trains.

Did you know that a new ‘BEACH’ just opened in NYC? Manhattan’s first public ‘beach’ just open and it’s called Gansevoort Peninsula right by the Hudson River Park🆕 🏖️It includes a sandy beach with umbrellas, places to picnic, beach chairs, kayak access. ❌Swimming will not be allowed at Gansevoort Peninsula due to the Hudson River’s polluted water. 📍Little West 12th Street, by the Hudson River

Fantastic new west village park. Great views. Sports field. Sand. Boardwalk.

Really looking forward to this portion of Hudson River Park being completed. It will, I believe be the last large chunk with expansive pieces of public space. I'm most looking forward to the beach landing area for kayaks and paddle boards as I'm a year-round paddler and guide. This will be a great new stop, either as a destination or a stop along other tours.
