A shoddy and careless repair shop. I cracked my Samsung phone and brought it in for repair. Not only was the place expensive, but the repairman was either careless, in a hurry, or lowly skilled because when I received my phone back, the home button was no longer elevated; it was completely flattened/evened into the screen surface. And they refused to admit fault or that anything was wrong.
If anyone has a Samsung phone that's series 1 to 7, you would know that the home button is elevated/raised out of the screen so that it's easier to feel and press.
Forget about the staff being customer friendly or justified in fixing your phone, I basically brought my phone here just to have it ruined further, along with a total waste of money.
And after reading other negative reviews concerning refusal to honor warranties and problems with their home buttons too, I definitely know I'm not the only customer who's been screwed.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND REPAIR ELSEWHERE
The young man providing the service was TOP notch. Great work. But the owners handled the interaction with no professionalism. I went in to replace a screen on my phone and brought a replacement screen with me. I was quoted $100 for the job, which could take 60-90min. After five min, the technician was able to diagnose a bad connection of wires and fixed it like new, no screen replacement needed. Then the manager said "ok, so that's $100." I said wait, you quoted me that for a replacement, not fixing a connection. She stood by her claim and said that is the price. I protested again, she called the owner, and he agreed to bring it down to $60. Hate to take away from the great job the technician did with this one star, but to not even recognize how different the 5 minute and 90 minute job was is just beyond comprehension.
If I had to point out the toughest part of working with NYC Mobile Device Doctors, it was finding their exact location after wandering around mid-town for a while. Everything from there was smooth sailing.

- Like most services/ repairs, communication is key and these guys excel in that.
- A message on Yelp was replied within 2 hours. I was clearly told the issue with my device would require "xyz" replacements and that would lead to a cost of "abc" with a warranty of "xyz" months.
- I had absolutely no surprises along the way and my broken device lived happily ever after :)
Cost
I would say, more on the economical side.
Pro-Tip : They need to enter you in the system to generate a security pass during your visit so be sure to give them a call when you're in the building.
Went to the "Geniuses" at the Apple store who told me to buy a new phone to replace my 2 years old iPhone 7. Went to a local iPhone repair shop who charged me $35 to tell me they couldn't fix it. Found NYC Mobile Device Doctors on Yelp and made an appointment. Danny had my phone fixed by the end of the day. That was a few months ago and my phone is working flawlessly. Since then I've brought my boss's phone, and a few friends' phones, all repaired perfectly. Danny is great! Highly recommended.
Had an excellent experience with this company. Needed two phones repaired and both were completed same day, very much appreciated. I don't want to have more phones break, but I would not hesitate to work with NYC Mobile Device Doctors again if it happens. Highly recommended.
So, when my 13 month old Samsung S8 wouldn't charge (moisture damage in port evidently) and the Verizon store wanted to sell me a new phone ($900) I went to these guys. 2 hours and $100 later (replaced charging port), all is well - great service!
This place has great staff and offer great service and care. When I needed to get my. Samsung Tab fixed after a drop. I want to the Samsung store where Samsung cannot do anything at their store and Samsung wanted to charge an outrageous amount for fixing what later turned out to be a minor problem. After doing a google search out of desperation, I was able to find NYC Mobile Device Doctors and I was able to get my tablet fixed for a reasonable price. The next time I have a problem with any of my electronics I will go to them first. I strongly encourage anyone that has problems with a tablet or a phone check with them because they are the best in what they do.

Excellent service; was able to get the LCD on my Galaxy S9+ replaced in under 30 mins and now my phone looks brand new again, thanks! I was even given a 90 day warranty in case anything goes wrong.
These guys are LEGITIMATE and use official parts from the manufacturer, not the cheap 3rd party parts you'll find in most other repair shops. It's a pretty penny but it's worth it if you're already willing to pay for phone repairs. You'll have to talk to MetLife security before going upstairs though, just a heads up. They have a nice lounge for you to wait in too.
I recommend this place! : ) My beloved Motorola MotoX Pure Edition's battery broke, after nearly 2 years, and I needed a new battery installed. I contacted NYC Mobile Device Doctors when I found they had high ratings on Google. Abraham - who seemed to be the owner - seemed a bit blunt in telling me I was asking questions I asked on the phone again in-person (because it was my first time using such a service and I wanted to make sure I understood all the details of the service correctly), but I suppose being assertive and clear comes with "meeting a lot of different (kinds of) people", like he said. Overall, customer service was very nice at this place. My total cost came to about $98 (cost of new battery and cost of installation), and I was happy that Abraham excused me $3 since I was a little short of money on my credit card. The new battery arrived exactly within 3 business days, like he said, and installation was fast and smooth, taking less than the supposed one hour. I especially liked that, when Danny/Dani (the tech) had finished installing the new battery, contrary to what I was warned about, there was no "gap" on any sides of the phone's back casing. It has been about a week now since then, and the battery is working great so far, and there are no problems or issues with any of the phone's other components either, like I feared. I hope it lasts. Dropped my Samsung S4 and completely cracked my screen. This was the second time I had to repair it, and I wasn't exactly looking forward to it. However, the difference this time was that I went to NYC Mobile Device Doctors. They helped me right away instead of making me wait around forever, and my phone looked good as new. I hope I don't have to return to them again, but at least if I do, I know I can rely on this place for good service.
I dropped my iPad mini 3, and it had a huge crack in the screen. I called NYC Mobile Device Doctors asked for a quote. They offered me a good price, so I decided to give them a try. I dropped off my iPad at closing time, and the next morning, it was ready for me to pick up. The repair guy made sure to double check the screen and functionality of the ipad, and told me to feel free to bring it back if i had any issues. I will definitely be recommending all my friends to this place!
While the Apple Store gave me every excuse on why they couldn't replace my iPhone battery, NYC Mobile Device Doctors in the same building, replaced my battery and screen in record time and at a lower cost than Apple quoted. They are nice, professional and quick. I highly reccomend.

I had this financial district IPhone repair service fix my broken IPhone and it was very reasonable. They did it right away when I was at work so I had it for the commute home to NJ. I was very happy with the great service. I will recommend Mobile Device Doctors to everyone at work.
This financial district cell phone repair is excellent. When I needed an IPhone 5C repair this place was very convenient. I walked in on my lunch break with my old phone. I was told that I needed a repair on my charging port on my cell phone. They had the part in stock and had it fixed by the time I left work. I am very pleased with the service and glad that I found this place.

Excellent, fast and reliable service. My wife dropped her IPad and the screen cracked. Thought about trying to repair it myself but so glad I didn't. The owner was so helpful. He explained as I came in late in the day and had to leave it, I called the next day just as promised the IPad glass repair was done. Excellent experience. Will gladly return if ever I need any device repair and I am pleased to recommend.
I have been to other places and this place is by far the best. Their rates are very reasonable and the quality of their work is excellent. I had my Galaxy Note 4 LCD replaced and they did it quickly and my phone is now better than when it was new. I will not go anywhere else in the future but here.
The iPad Air is a very sensitive device that should be handled only by professionals. I am happy to say that this company repaired the screen on my device in just 45 minutes. It is my firm belief that they can fix anything and do a wonderful job at it!

Quick (about 30 mins because there were two people before me) and good customer service. $140 for a new iPhone 6+ screen. If you're in the area you can do this on your lunch break. Would use these guys again without a doubt (although hopefully won't have to).
Quick, straightforward and easy screen repair for my broken iPhone 5s screen. Don't mind the lackluster building - once you find it you'll be set. Phone estimate confirmed and prices are scaled to the model iPhone which is typical.

Had my cell phone fixed by these guys , they really are phone doctors, they fixed my broken LCD in 20 minutes and they are right next to grand central terminal. they have a cheap price and very nice. If you want to fix your cell phone in midtown these are the guys to go to. While i was there, there was someone else getting their screen repaired and another person replacing the battery in their iphone.
Location is near grand central on 42nd street and their office has the most beautiful views of Park Ave.
Manhattan IPhone repair fixed my cracked iPhone screen in less than 10 minutes. They were super nice and my phone looks brand new! They are also a lot cheaper than a great deal of repair stores in the city. I recommend this place to anyone who needs their electronics repaired.
This company did an excellent job at fixing my iPhone 5s which I dropped and cracked the glass and the touch screen was broken as well. This is a no-nonsense shop that is efficiently run, as evidenced by its fast turn-around time to repair my iPhone, which now looks like new. As a professional working full-time hours, I appreciate that this enterprise is open until 6:45 p.m., saving me from having to race out of the office early.
