Trying to open a business checking account in person at this branch was a disastrous waste of my time and energy. After an hour it still wasn’t possible despite Mina and Mohammed’s earnest effort to help. I went back to my office, got online, and within 15 minutes I had a biz checking account with both Bank of America and American Express. Chase has a serious operational or algorithmic difficulty given that I have lines of credit with the bank for years that are all in good standing.
Can’t speak to any other employees, but Roogen is downright terrible. Took literal hours to set up a basic business account, didn’t understand anything, and didn’t link our accounts as we asked him to do. I let it go as he was new and needed help so I figured he would figure it out. Went back in a few months later to get the accounts linked finally, and I’m stuck with Roogen again. He doesn’t tell me what he’s doing, just futzes around for 5-10 minutes and then goes to the back for “a minute”. 7 minutes later he comes back and tells me they are already linked, which is untrue. Then we pull the info up and he says one of our cards is closed, so that’s why we couldn’t link it. This was the first I heard of this, and he was incorrect but kept pushing it, despite our other card not being linked either. Not once did he validate my concern about our card being closed without our knowledge, or that I couldn’t pay the card without it being linked, or that generally this has all been hell to deal with. At a certain point I was done with the incompetence and disrespect and left. Went to another Chase branch in Union square and they asked me fully about the issue so they understood it, and in a timely manner were able to tell me exactly what I needed to do to get my accounts linked, and all with a positive demeanor. Again, no idea how the other employees are at this location, but avoid Roogen at all costs!
Never in my life I had the pleasure to deal with a group that is so unprofessional like Chase, specifically Thomas, Christopher. I submitted a request to increase a LOC for my business, it's been two weeks now and I still haven't heard anything from Christopher, despited many attempts to get in touch with him.
I visited the Chase branch at 69 Fifth Ave, W 14th St, New York, NY to open a teen account for my grandson, and Mina helped us through the whole process. She was kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful.
Mina explained everything clearly, answered all our questions, and made sure we understood each step. She was patient, professional, and made the whole experience easy and stress-free.
It’s rare to get such great customer service these days, and Mina really went above and beyond. Chase is lucky to have her. We really appreciate her help and would definitely come back because of her.
I was worried by the low reviews, but received excellent service at both the window (from the gorgeous tall professional Latina woman), the lobby (security guard and tall handsome buff Black man. I think his name is Laji). I felt welcomed and valued as a regular customer and saw 'Laji' helping another (disgruntled) customer with the same patience and kindness, and greeting those who entered and exited.
Worst location ever! Walked in and it was completely empty. But they still had no available banker to help with my account. What is the point of having Chase banks all over the city if there is no one inside to actually work?
Last year they said this branch was to close and all safe deposit boxes were to be emptied. Well. I was just told they aren’t closing anytime soon. I asked for my safety deposit box back and they say they haven’t got any. That’s not how a bank should be treating its best customers and veterans.
Inhumane, bureaucratic and the most lifeless place I’ve ever been. They are not happy to see you or help you, deposit your hard earned money into a community bank! To those who work there, there are better places to be in your lives.
I had a great experience at this branch. Big thanks to Albana! During our session, she was professional yet amiable and easy to talk to. She answered all my questions clearly and thoroughly and that helped me greatly. Not to mention, she was charming and funny! In general, every time I visit this branch, all the clerks are friendly and helpful. I recommend :)
I went into this Chase Bank with my 6 month old baby a few weeks ago during the pandemic. The teller and branch manager were GREAT!!! Both were sweet, helpful, and understanding to a breastfeeding mom and a crying baby. The branch manager got me a chair and the teller helped me with my withdrawal forms. The branch manager gave me gloves so that I could change my current pair. I am so greatly that they allowed me to breastfeed my baby as they both assisted me with my transactions. I will visit this branch for my future needs. They follow all of the Covid Prevention protocols to protect their customers. Just GREAT AND WONDERFUL IF I COULD GIVE 10 STARS I would. Also, I didn’t mention the name of the teller or branch manager, however, if the branch manager or her see this post they most likely will remember. Thank you to you both. :)
I was in the lobby area at 2:55pm and attempted to take out $3,000. The Machine only allowed me to take out $500.00 so i went to the double doors which was locked before 3pm. i stood there knocking and then went outside by the revolving door where i seen people inside by the tellers being helped. At the door Shantel was knocking getting someone's attention and then said that the Bank was closed. I said i was there at 2:55pm trying to get someone's attention and no one heard me. I then asked her for the Manager and she said there was no Manager. I asked when a incident takes place what happens she said we handle it among ourselves. It's sad to hear this because there were people at the tellers being helped and i'm told before 3pm i couldn't take cash out, let alone no Manager was onsite. Chase needs to do better with Customer Service.
I like Chase but this location.... no bueno. The tellers always try to charge me $8 for cashing CHASE checks! I never have this issue at other locations.
