The Staff here is very friendly, professional and competent. I was able to schedule an appointment to open a new account in a very reasonable amount of time, and the Banker Mr. Jesus was accurately and efficiently conveying to me the options for opening up a new account, taking into consideration my prior experience with chase, and also providing some important initial advice about financial planning for my goals in settling in as a New York Resident in 2025 and onwards.
Stopped by this branch to pick up a cashiers check. Super quick process, no wait time (was a Thursday afternoon) and Kiana (the rep) was extremely helpful and I got what I needed in no time and left. Thank you Kiana!
Frustrating ATM access at Chase branch on 34th & 10th
Extremely disappointed with the access issues at the Chase branch ATM on 34th & 10th. The automatic door is malfunctioning and the NFC reader for door access never seems to work, especially on holidays. This makes it impossible to get to the ATM even if it's functioning. Chase needs to fix this ongoing problem to make their ATM services truly accessible.
A lady by the name of Naomi thought it was okay to profile me because my license was stolen and since has been missing.
The saving grace of this location was Miss Charlotte, one of the more courteous and professional bankers. I can’t believe people like Naomi are allowed to work at Chase let alone represent this multi billionaire dollar company, but perhaps that is the exact reason why. The people at the top of the chain don’t care about how their clients are treated so long as their money remains unscathed.
Anyway, I recently visited again to make another cash withdrawal. This time, I was handled with efficiency and was out the door in less than 10 minutes. But Miss Naomi, who was assigned as a greeter today, must have heard me mutter under my breath she was a rude lady and smiled in my face and wished me a nice day. I guess I did get other her skin, otherwise she wouldn’t have remembered me at all. Good luck, Naomi. I will never be handling another transaction through you, ever again. With or without ID.
It's rare for me to give a bank review because I normally never require much assistance just get my money and go. This bank is an exception because from the moment I stepped in to the end of my transaction everyone was very polite and helpful I came in September 7th at 4:15 p.m. from the guard at the door the person who greeted me in the bank teller exceptional
This branch is horrific. It’s called “Chase” because they force you to chase after your hard earned money and hold your paychecks hostage. I’ve been mistreated here twice. Different branches must have different rules and policies. All branches are not the same because this branch has rules others do not. This branch has held my paycheck for four days on two separate occasions. I literally hate Chase Bank and more specifically this particular branch. I hope you all are fired for incompetence. You don’t deserve not even one star. Horrible service. Terrible hospitality. And most importantly their branch managers lied and told me that deposits are available same day with a chase check. This is either a blatant lie or there are different rules at different branches. This bank does filthy business.
This is my go-to Chase bank branch in the neighborhood and I have always had positive experiences here. The staff members are incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed from the moment I stepped through the door. Highly recommend for everyday banking needs!
Can't recommend this branch and company enough! After trying to get money out from many different banks, Chase was all too happy to help. They had incredible customer service and were overly friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much for them. I will definitely be using Chase in the future if I come back to USA. Thank you so much! :)
Walked in to open a new account which I needed to get done urgently, was told I needed an appointment to do that which is ridiculous. Existing customer that gives them plenty of business. Terrible service.
10pm for an ATM?!!!! Switch to Wells Fargo or citi bank the entire purpose for me using chase is convenience, but when they aren’t providing for their customers ditch them! I’m leaving and I’ve talked to friends about it too it’s very frustrating especially those in the service industry that need to make cash deposits at night after work.
Came here to transfer funds between two Chase accounts. The teller who helped us was very friendly. He noticed I had an upcoming birthday on my ID, wished me happy birthday and asked about my celebration plans. Overall a pleasant experience. I went on a Monday at ~3:40 pm. There's virtually no line for the teller.
Went there as foreigner to setup a bank account.
People there were very helpful an polite. They even stayed overtime as setting up the account took longer then normal so i could make a direct deposit after the setup was complete.
Nothing to complain about at all!
This location is dismal (not that the national chain is all that great either). I've been waiting for two weeks on a simple money exchange and when I call to inquire (regardless of the time of day) I get the "all agents are busy, please call our 1-800 line" message. The 800 line says they can't determine in their systems if the funds are available for pickup.
I'm surprised by the bad reviews. Every time I've come in for anything (notarize documents, open a business account) the staff has been super friendly and helpful. The wait time are minimal, also.
Is minus ZERO Stars possible?? I was clearly discriminated against by INZIMAN, who wouldn't let me use a STATE ID to make a DEPOSIT!!
I wasn't withdrawing money, I was depositing CASH!!
Additionally, I used the same ID to make deposits AND withdrawals MULTIPLE times at other locations AND that location already!!
He wasted 10 minutes of my day with something that took TWENTY SECONDS at the 40th and 8th branch 10 minutes later!!
I am now late to a physical therapy appointment and will be late to all the rest of my appointments today now, PLUS I left a bag there with medications and my daily needs because Inziman made me look for additional forms of ID!!
After calling him about the bag he said he can't help get it back to me. Instead I have to go all the way back across town and waste more of my day!! The guy needs fired IMMEDIATELY!! His customer service skills are ABOMINABLE!!
**I'm filing a discrimination and small claims suit if this isn't rectified by Harry and Chase when I come back to retrieve the bag!!**
Despite all these negative reviews, I actually had a great experience both times I've visited. Maybe I go on Saturday mornings when it's less crowded since I live nearby. Every time, I was greeted with smiles and got the stuff done with efficiency and effectiveness. Five stars! Not sure why the other people are complaining.
I had a bad experience here . I have no state Id due it being lost and is currently being shipped in the mail, so I went to get some cash out and the teller basically told me I couldn't . I went to a chase in the Bronx and they had to verify me and get my social for me to access my money and I asked her what's the difference between 42nd chase bank and a Bronx chase bank she said she didn't know. Really ?? Bad customer service . Yes I cursed her out like mad annoying.
Do not go to this branch if you need anything more than an ATM machine. It is unbelievably slow and the likelihood that you will see a banker in less than an hour can't be great. I've tried to inquire on professional services three times over the last two years or so at this location, and each time I've gotten up and walked out after 30-45 minutes with no updates. I guess Chase is happy just doing online checking and not having to pay anyone - mortgages, refinancing, business accounts? Go somewhere where they want to talk to you.
Always a line and two or less live tellers (not those self serve machines taking the place of real people to save money and further enrich Jaime Dimons retirement parachute).
Sure, they can be nice when you're up next (hi...how are you...how's it going...etc), but if you're slow as molasses and put on a "I don't care about you; I'm getting paid anyway" attitude all day, sure, we're gonna hate on you...
Which is why this week I am slowly transferring all to another bank...not one of the infamous top five banks NOT to bank at!

Served quickly by a personal banker who was beyond friendly and probably the nicest customer-facing employee I've seen since moving to NYC. No complaints, but they could clean or update the lobby furniture.
Every time I have been to this Chase branch I had had appalling service. The branch is completely understaffed, I have never seen the line under 10 people. Not only is the waiting time to see someone ridiculous. But the staff here are incompetent and apathetic. If can avoid coming to this branch, I highly suggest you do so. The experience coming to this Chase is excruciating and painful. Considering this is one of the few, if not only, Chase branch on the west side, I would hope Chase Corporate remedies the toxic lethargy that permeates this branch.
Very incompetent staff. If you don't go to the tellers and ask to be seen, no one cares that you've been waiting for a while, no one ask if you need help and the staff have no knowledge of the services offer. There used to be a notary and now there's none. Just about anyone can walk in and just sit around and do nothing as if it were a cooling center or a public library. really bad service and security. Usually there's someone sleeping in the area of .the atm's at night.
Usually it's a regular banking experience.
Lately things have changed.
The other, I went to get change for the business.
I know we have account with them. I give her the routing number and the D.B.A. Name and the cashier could not find our account.
Quite Frustrating, waiting all that time. Only to leave empty handed.
