I highly recommend the Peter and Mary Kalikow Jewish Genealogy Research Center (ground floor) and the genealogists on staff!

Truly amazing places like this have to be protected and preserved so we can continue to tell the story of what happened. The world needs to know, and every future generation must visit to learn about the Holocaust.

Got lost. Very hard to find. Very detailed sad history.

Very educational. I was taken aback by how much more knowledge I learnt. I only managed the first floor as I had 90 minutes. It was very quiet with not many people there which was a bonus. I will return as I did not have enough time to visit the other two floors. Reception was a breeze. My ticket was scanned and I was told about the layout. I did not take any photos as I thought it may have been disrespectful. Non flask photography is allowed. Worth at least one visit. Take your time and emerge yourself in history. It’s a sober experience and interesting.

We visited to see exhibit on Danish rescue of its Jewish population and learn how their King bravely stood up to Nazis and refused to hand over lists. First visited in 1998. Amazed to see how museum has grown.

It's an amazing place to see, but not for the faint of heart!! It is a true life depiction of life as a Jew and details the true stories, the personal items, their clothing, concentration camp uniforms, and lives of Jews before, during, and after the Holocaust!! I think every human on earth should visit, spend a day seeing the Hell, Hitler created for the Jews!! Around every corner is another account experienced by another human being. Every section has videos, some interactive holographic characters telling short stories of daily life!!

Our first time here. We will return as often as the program here warrants. Today we saw "Becoming Dr. Ruth." 90 minutes of brilliant entertainment. As visible in our posted photos, every seat in this smallish theater is a good one! Clearly, we wish to return to visit the museum as well.

It’s been some time since I’ve visited here, but it was such a profoundly moving and wonderful experience that I still think about it. It is a powerful reminder of the terrible things that humans can do to each other, but at the same time, is an equally powerful reminder about the kindness that exists in people, and the tremendous strength of the human spirit. This was an absolutely engaging immersion into learning about the holocaust, and I am so thankful to have gone here. The exhibit where we got to talk to (a holographic manifestation of) a survivor was fascinating, and the rock garden was a perfect place to sit and contemplate not only what we had just learned, but life in general.

Allow yourself 3 to 4 hours. + a nice Dairy (Cholov Yisroel)Kosher restaurant at the finish line. Adult geared, this was my first holocaust museum visit, very well put together a little bit from everything... Nice thing about it. You don't have to read much. U get a mobile device with an audio tour. At ur own pace. {OK for Kohanim}

We visited for the Auschwitz exhibit and it was just amazing. I would highly recommend stopping here and taking in the museum

Is a must! A meaningful museum, the most beautiful garden . Exhibitions are very powerful I was impressed how many young people were visiting. ?

If you like to know about WW2 this is a perfect museum, they have actual Auschwitz objects and more. Its amazing plus is not expensive! This Auschwitz exhibition is so powerful, makes you feel something that I cant explain, this is a museum so worth going. I share a little bit of all the things that I saw because you defenetly need to see it by yourself

Always a sad part of world history. Worth of everyone’s reminder that life is precious and we should learn from that experience and that should have not happened. Nice view on the 3rd floor of the Statue of Liberty.

Between exhibitions but the building is outstanding, amazing architecture and views with modern exhibition halls

This lovely museum was under construction and we didn't see the whole museum. The building is close the sea and has beautiful sceneries from the windows and from the touching little garden outside. Trees are growing from a stones like jewish people stayed alive after terrible history. Also little cafeteria where we tasted Haman ears with coffee.

not as much to see as I'd like. there are some new installations in process but right now there isn't that much with the exception of the virtual reality portion. the virtual reality part is actually really interesting. they did a good job with the filming of it

Interesting museum that is well worth visiting. The exhibits are about the history and heritage of the Jewish people, not only the Holocaust. Take the guided audio tour.

This museum shows what life was like for Jews during the holocaust. I would recommend starting at the top and working your way down. Don't forget to check out the Garden of Stones, a living memorial on the second floor.

Came here with culturepass for free and the staff here were really friendly and helpful. The exhibition was really well organized. Circumstances were very nice.

It has been nearly 20 years since I first visited this museum. I guess I first visited this place when it first opened. I went back to bring my family so they could learn more about the Holocaust. I do believe this museum is quite informative. However it is now a shell of what I remember the exibits were when it first opened. I remember spending hours going through the exibits. We saw everything in about 40 minutes. I'm glad at least my kids' tickets were free.

Took my students on a tour. Very somber experience. Also very historical. They have a great tour that is child friendly, the bad stuff is higher up so you don't have to see it if you really don't want to.

Excellent museum. Spent two hours here and I could have spent another hour or two because there was so much to look at. Next time I want to try out their cafe on site. Beautiful views of the Hudson and the Statue of Liberty from the upper floors as well. We saw some great exhibitions and I'm really glad we chose to check this museum out.

A very meaningful experience. I would say a better over all experience than the DC Holocaust museum - like yad vashem, where you exit and look upon Israel in all her glory, when you leave the museum of Jewish heritage you see lady liberty and New York harbor - a different homeland for the Jewish people. Worth the stop - free Wednesday and thruway evenings.
