Where to begin with how amazing an experience this was! My girlfriend (now fiancee) and I went to Jangmi Jewelry after thorough research of where to go in the diamond district for an engagement ring. Well, Jangmi did not disappoint. We met Femina, Mr. And Mrs Kim and they became family. They did not pressure us to buy and only gently educated us about diamond rings and had my girlfriend try on different rings until she fell in love with one. We then went to lunch and mulled it over and then went back and bought it because we were just so impressed with the experience and knew we were in incredible hands at Jangmi. The Kims did a fantastic job on the ring and the ring was everything my girlfriend wanted in a diamond ring. We are so blown away by the experience, we would always recommend Jangmi Jewelry for a diamond engagement ring! I’ve visited this jewelry store three times over the past ten years. During my first two visits, I was very satisfied with both the service and the upgrade I made to my earrings. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was not the same. They only appraised the amount I had paid for the last upgrade and applied an additional tax reduction, which resulted in an offer far below the total value I have paid. This time I left disappointed and felt the appraisal was not fair

I bought the perfect diamond at Jangmi Jewelry. I researched and explored the market for months, but I only found what I was looking for at Jangmi: a natural, round brilliant diamond that met my desired super-ideal parameters at the right size and at a competitive price. I worked with multiple other quality NY jewelery stores and, on one occasion, even heard that the type of diamond I was looking for couldn't be found on the market; but Jangmi had it. Jangmi also made an outstanding ring for me with my selected diamond. My fianceé loves wearing her engagement ring and routinely receives wonderful compliments on it! Similarly, an independent appraiser at a separate company raved about the craftsmanship of Jangmi's pavé/platinum setting without knowing where I bought the ring. In fact, my ring appraised for a significantly higher amount than I paid for it! Mrs. Kim, Femina, and the entire Jangmi team got to know me over my shopping period and consistently worked to address my questions and meet my needs as a customer, even though I was frequently out of town and other potential customers wanted the diamond that I eventually bought. In summary, I highly recommend checking out Jangmi if you are in the market for a natural engagement ring in NYC -- especially if you care about specifications beyond the basics. Best of luck!

We got a beautiful wedding band from here. They have a great selection of wedding bands and Femina, who was helping us with the decision, was really attentive and thoughtful. We had a tight deadline and Femina and Mrs Kim did a great job with the resizing and getting us the ring on time.

My husband bought my engagement ring here a few years ago which I lovedd but we got our wedding bands elsewhere which was a mistake. Some of the diamonds fell off and I had already gone back to get it fixed but it fell off again. So for a long time I wasn’t wearing a wedding band because it was scratching my hand where the diamonds were missing. Fast forward we just had a baby so I asked my husband for a new wedding band as a push present and said I wanted to go back to Jangmi. Needless to say I found exactly what I wanted and magically in my size that was on display. I am so happy with both my rings now from Jangmi and always recommend them to anyone looking for rings!

I always have an amazing experience at Jangmi Jewelry! My husband and I got our wedding rings from Jangmi back in 2021. Mr. and Mrs. Kim are both so sweet and genuinely cares for their customers. Mrs. Kim still recognized us 4 years later! I brought my engagement ring in to be serviced recently. You can tell Mrs. Kim really takes pride in her work. I am sooo happy with how my ring came back!

Jangmi Jewelry is the best - I have been going there for 10 years. I recently came in to buy a nice ring for my wife for our 10 year anniversary and Mrs. Kim recognized me immediately - she even remember which anniversary it was! Came here about a month ago to purchase an engagement ring for my girlfriend and Mrs Kim was extremely kind and helpful in helping me purchase one! She treated me like I was a family member and was transparent about the color, cut, clarity and even the GIA certificate of each diamond! Mrs. Kim is a Gem & sweet heart! She has such wonderful energy & Aura! I visited her with my fiancée for the first time after us talking about making this trip numerous times to look for wedding bands. Mrs. Kim helped me find her first engagement ring, and when the stone went missing after my fiancee accidentally lost it ? I went back to Mrs. Kim who saved me with a perfect replacement ! Today’s visit we went to say hello and look for wedding bands but Mrs Kim and her beautiful family fell in love with our maltipoo Lucy! I think it’s a mutual love as Lucy enjoyed all the love! And of course my fiancee is in love with Mrs Kim ☺️ and how well she treated us! the energy was wonderful, she has a wonderful family, and she even cleaned my fiancée engagement ring without hesitation! While window shopping ?? we did find the perfect bands for the two of us at a perfect price tag! This is a long overdue review! My husband and I have been coming to here since before we officially got engaged. I first stopped at Jangmi with my best friend to figure out what I wanted for my engagement ring. Jangmi was one of four stores I had appointments at, and it was the only place that I felt valued us stopping in. I got the sense that most sales reps don’t take women who don’t come in with their significant other very seriously and felt brushed off by the employees at the other stores (well reviewed and all throughout the city). I wish I could remember who helped me that first visit, but he was really warm, informative, and not at all pushy. I sent my now husband to have my engagement ring done there, along with a list of “wants” for the ring. He worked with Mrs. Kim to design the engagement ring I wanted. We both had such good experiences there that we knew we’d go back when it was time for our wedding. Since my engagement ring, my husband and I have unofficially made Jangmi our diamond/fine jewelry spot. It started when we went back for our wedding bands. I ended up buying James two different bands. He wanted a simple band, but then spotted a ring that not only suited him really well but also fit him perfectly. We felt like Mrs. Kim was kind, informative, and not at all pushy during this time, so we asked for pricing on other pieces as we still needed earrings and necklaces for the wedding. We’ve since gone back for some other pieces after our wedding. Everything we’ve purchased (yes, we have a lot of Jangmi pieces now lol) prioritizes combining structural integrity with aesthetics. Mrs. Kim will let you know if she thinks something won’t work well and gives other helpful suggestions, and, no, I don’t mean more expensive options. Mrs. Kim has always tried to show me what I ask for and also make her own suggestions. I haven’t been led wrong yet! She’s picked out pieces for me that I wouldn’t have chosen for myself that end up looking great, but has never once pushed me to purchase anything. Both Mrs. and Mr. Kim are just really passionate about their jewelry, and you can tell they love to share that with anyone who is interested. My husband and I can’t seem to leave Jangmi without extra pieces even when we are just there to get something serviced or pick up *one* thing because of the excellent variety in styles and, of course, how gracious the Kims are. Obviously, I can’t say enough good things, but I’ll stop here and just leave some photos. My husband’s studs and my two necklaces in the wedding photos are all from Jangmi, and you can see how they pop even from further away.

So grateful to have found Jangmi through super positive reviews from Reddit & Google & insta. I’m so so so happy with my ring and am so grateful to Mr and Mrs Kim. Mrs Kim knows exactly what to suggest to elevate every design, has such an excellent grasp of all things diamonds and I just loved seeing them every time ? I’ll have to visit frequently because they’re such a delight. They’re both so nice!! You can really trust them - you really need to go to Jangmi for engagement/wedding rings. Long overdue review but my now-husband bought my engagement ring from Jangmi last year. I’ve gotten so many compliments from friends, family, coworkers and even strangers on my ring. We were so impressed with the ring that we even bought our wedding bands from them. The quality of their rings are impeccable and the staff’s commitment to finding our perfect rings are commendable. They were able to work with our budget and explained the differences in sizes, colors, clarity, cuts, settings, and more in detail. They also offered to clean our rings each time and we left feeling like ??. They went above and beyond in providing us with the best service and the best rings. I LOVE my rings! The staff was wonderful and made sure to give us their undivided attention while we picked out the rings we wanted. They even offer free services if there is anything you need done to make sure it's exactly what you want. We needed the rings VERY quickly and they were able to get them done in time for our trip! I cannot say enough good things about Jangmi. Where do I begin? Mr. and Mrs. Kim are so incredibly kind, patient, helpful, and genuine. It’s no wonder they’ve been helping people find their dream rings for over 35 years. Mrs. Kim took her time to understand what we were looking for and showed us gorgeous natural and conflict free options within our price range. We did not feel rushed or sold to at all— in fact, she made sure we understood how diamonds are categorized and valued, and she also taught us about the settings and which were most secure. Speaking of the settings, her designs are beautiful. We ended up also getting a gorgeous wedding band to stack with my engagement ring. Everything came with GIA certifications and formal appraisals. They even helped us look into insurance options for our purchases. Mr. and Mrs. Kim were able to have our order ready sooner than anticipated and in time for Valentine’s Day! If you are reading this, please don’t waste your time elsewhere. We got an amazing price and value for gorgeous natural diamonds. Go to Jangmi!!!

Hands down the best quality and service jeweler in NYC! We got both our engagement ring & wedding bands at Jangmi - we’ve been getting lots of compliments from friends, families, and even strangers. Mrs & Mr Kim and staff members make sure that you’re getting the best looking style that fits your fingers/needs and count many factors into consideration when they’re making recommendations - so I wouldn’t be too concerned even if you have no idea where to start (Mrs Kim will hold your hands to walk you through, haha). We will be definitely returning for our anniversary rings and such in the future!

GO HERE. Here's the difference between Jangmi and all other shops in the diamond district. Mrs. Kim, the owner of the shop, hand selects every diamond that she sells to her customers. She's a perfectionist and she will make sure it's perfect. Even the tiny diamonds for the band she hand selects the highest clarity stones to ensure maximum sparkle and clarity. When you put her stones/rings side by side with regular commercial rings, the quality difference is huge. They also provide free cleaning whenever you need it, they care deeply about what YOU want and make sure you have the perfect ring. It's incredible the way they run the business. So different from other shops who are just trying get every cent out of you. They also have a wide variety of bands and stones. They let you try all options - never rushes you (I went back 4-5 times lol to try them on and make the decision). Never tries to sell more things to you that you don’t want/need. I was referred to Jangmi by a friend who got their engagement ring. Several months later, I got my oval cut engagement ring as well as the eternity wedding band from Jangmi. I'm SO incredibly happy with my ring. Honestly, people stop me on the streets to tell me how beautiful the ring is. The way Mrs. Kim set the stones and the oval cut diamond they found for my ring are just so high quality.

Jangmi has been the only jewelry place that my husband and I have gone back over and over throughout the years. We first met Mr. and Mrs. Kim almost ten years ago when my then boyfriend and I were beginning to look for engagement rings. Actually Jangmi was the first place we went to and we didn't even end up shopping around because we were very happy with the experience from the very beginning. They started by educating us on diamonds and what to look for and just get an idea of what we wanted and our budget. There was never any pressure - I think maybe it was our second or third time going back that we ended up purchasing the ring and we find their prices are more than reasonable for the outstanding quality. The ring itself was absolutely beyond words. They only carry very high quality diamonds so I notice that the sparkle of my jewelry always stands out. Mrs. Kim is a master of her craft and her eye for detail and quality is admirable. Over the years, we have gone back time and time again because they are the real deal for diamonds and jewelry. I recently got my engagement ring upgraded which was really a seamless process and my husband has gifted me many more pieces over the years. We are honored to call Mr. and Mrs. Kim our friends. I would give this location 10 stars if I could. I cannot express how happy we are with Jangmi! I live in California, but have visited Jangmi when I was in New York last year. Mrs. Kim (owner) was SO patient with me in choosing the perfect ring for my fiancé. She took her time to explain everything about diamond qualify factors and to show me different diamonds/bands. I had been to several places before Jangmi so I could definitely tell the quality of diamonds at this place was by far the best, and the experience with Mrs. Kim topped all of them. After picking the right ring, I was a bit worried about the delivery because it had to travel from New York to California. Mrs. Kim made all the process very easy and simple. The ring arrived on the next day and shipping was very secure. Their life-long warranty is also incredible. I could not be happier with my experience at this place. My fiancé absolutely loves the engagement ring and we are also getting our wedding bands at Jangmi! I would strongly recommend this place to all of my friends and family.
