Fantastic experience! Jonathan was awesome! We did the tour and bites and had an amazing time! Bought some goodies too! Definitely recommend this to anyone that enjoys some bourbon and learning new things!

The distillery tour was great. Not an hour long like stated but what we learned on the tour was exceptional. Our tour guide Bobbie was so knowledgeable about the distillery and about Whiskey and Bourbon. He walked you through the proper way to do the tasting by smelling the note and flavors before sipping it. Well worth the $35 pp. The one down side that we incountered was eating in their Bar/Restaurant. We ordered chicken wings that were not fully cooked, they took them back and cooked them longer which was good. The Bar/Restaurant did have a good Bourob Espresso Martini and the Tres Leche cake was great.

We did the cocktail making class. It started with a tour and background about the distillery. Then we did a bourbon tasting and made some cocktails. The event flowed nicely, with breaks to enjoy your cocktails and conversation. We never felt rushed. The drinks were yummy; we will recreate them at home. I’m not generally a bourbon drinker, but I really enjoyed the cocktails we made. It was a really fun experience! I highly recommend it!

Exciting tour with an amazing guide, thanks a lot to Steven he was so good!! The place is beautiful to see, we could try 3 types of whiskeys that were interesting to taste (very peppery!). Had a great moment!

Enjoyed our time here. Tour was informative and fun! We plan to come back and enjoy happy hour another day! Thanks to our guide Amanda! Who was knowledgeable and personable.

Did a tour for vday and it was definitely amazing thanks to our tour guide Amanda! She was absolutely incredible and very knowledgeable. The bar was a very small cozy spot. Such a chilled vibe. Drink was delicious and strong lol and the oysters were fresh and delicious! Overall definitely recommend this place

One of the most valuable tour and experience we have ever had. Was really knowledgeable and time worthy. I would say it’s a must do for all that loves whiskey ?
Feb 15, 2026 -
Participated in the distillery tour. Tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. Quick tour and tasting but worth it on a cold day. Restaurant is nice to grab a bite after. Recommend.

Great Jones Distilling Co is such a standout spot in NYC. The space is beautifully designed—modern, warm, and stylish—while still keeping that classic distillery vibe. You immediately feel that a lot of care went into every detail. The whiskey is excellent, smooth, and well-balanced, and the tasting experience is both fun and informative. Even if you’re not a hardcore whiskey person, it’s easy to appreciate the quality and craftsmanship behind each pour. The cocktails at the bar are also thoughtfully made and absolutely delicious. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, which really elevated the whole experience. Whether you’re stopping by for a tasting, a tour, or just drinks with friends, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy. Highly recommend for a unique NYC experience—definitely worth a visit. Five stars all the way

Took the VIP tour and tasting. Exceeded expectations. Miles was our tour guide, we learned so much about bourbon and whiskey. The tasting was also great. Enjoyed dinner at the bar after the tour as well and it was very good! Highly recommend

This Distillery is very nice, upscale with great history to be in the city of New York! I will go back to visit when I’m back in the city..
Jan 04, 2026 -
This is a real hidden gem. It’s a small distillery but you still get exposed to the end to end process, with much of the initial focus of the tour on their very unique still. Part 2 of the tour is a relaxed and informative tasting.

Just got back from a tour and bourbon tasting/food pairing at Great Jones Distilling and had a great time. Bobby, our tour guide was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and accommodating. The tour was historical and interesting and the signature bourbons and rye were yummy. We also had a delicious cocktail at the bar before the tour. Would definitely recommend this for an enjoyable evening.

Great tour of a unique Manhattan distillery. Our guide, Steven, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining. There was ample opportunity to interact with other visitors and to compare our thoughts about our tastings. Highly recommended!

Bobby was an amazing tour guide! And we tasted amazing bourbon! The food was killer and I would definitely recommend to my friends and family!
Dec 21, 2025 -
Went here for a date last year and it was absolutely stunning.. the food was amazing, I had the prawns and grits and my date had the beef short ribs with eggs Benedict, both dishes was 10/10 . The drinks was hit and miss for me, ended up ordering a regular whiskey shot but the whiskey flights were fun and different
Nov 24, 2025 -
Our guide was great as well as his knowledge of Great Jones. Jack also had amazing cocktails. Loved the ambience.
Nov 17, 2025 -
We had a wonderful time! Far beyond the big expectations I walked in with!! I even was able to sign up two new bourbon aficionados!! Miles and the entire team were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable! It felt more like a gathering with friends I haven’t seen in a while that a tasting experience and I learned many new things about the process! Looking forward to going back soon and I am a new brand fan! By the way, I hate rye but your rye is fantastic!!

The first legal whiskey distillery in Manhattan since prohibition. The tour is brief but informative and fun, our tour guide was Amanda 10/10 very funny. The tasting was a nice verity. And they are reopening the speak easy. The pics are of me eating all the food before we sat down
Nov 08, 2025 -
Place is great & Miles was the best tour guide. We were super disappointed that they were "out" of the crystal glasses that were supposed to come with the tour. It said while supplies last but while we were told they had none left, they were for sale.at the end. That is not cool and super unprofessional.

Traveling to New York for the week and we decided to tour Great Jones to experience how New York compared to the Midwest - best decision ever! Right when you walk in your greeted with the BEST ambiance. It reminded me of old time Great Gastsby! The drinks were fantastic, the service was 20/10 - our tour guide was incredible! Such a fun personality and made our 2-1 such a fun and vibrant experience!
Oct 11, 2025 -
Really nice service and great cocktails and tasting flight. Our waiter was attentive and had good suggestions. We went for the Jazz brunch and wish we also had a distillery tour booked! The food was good but not the main draw. We have no idea why it said that the Croque madame was recommended for two people because it is not big at all.. In fact, I was still quite hungry after the brunch!

My husband & I attended the VIP distillery tasting and were very happy with our experience!! Our guide, Jackson, has a great personality & set a friendly vibe for the rest of the tour !! He was super knowledgeable about the distillery and the history of the building. I felt comfortable asking questions and talking with the group . The distillery itself is super clean and safe to walk around! The whiskeys were unique and delicious. The cocktail bar is a nice vibe and all the staff are really friendly!! 10/10 would reccomend this tour to any whiskey lover!

*This review is for a special chef collaboration event* My GF and I recently attended the first (hopefully of many) Great Jones chef collaboration dinner event. Worth. Every. Penny. For the price of admission we received a 6 course tasting menu collaborated on by two chefs (one of whom is Great Jones’ executive chef). Each dish was paired with a house-made cocktail, wine or whiskey. The cocktails were all whiskey based (of course) but showcased a wonderful variety of flavors pleasing the pallets of all and showcasing the misunderstood diversity of the spirit. The food courses were, similarly, not lacking in creativity, daring and diversity. Highlighting the many cultural varieties of cuisine in NYC, the tasting menu showcased many Latin and European flavors and techniques. From seared duck breast, to empanadas, to a scallop crudo and treś leches. While I may have had minor critiques on some of the finer techniques of the dishes, the menu was bold and flavorful. If given the opportunity, I will 100% be attending this event again.

We had the pleasure of touring Great Jones Distillery with Steven as our guide, and he was absolutely fantastic! Even though he’s new, Steven was incredibly charismatic, engaging, and knowledgeable. The tour itself was amazing — I learned so much about the whiskey-making process and the fascinating history behind the distillery. The whiskey flight was a highlight, allowing us to really taste and appreciate the unique differences between each spirit. After the tour, we stayed for food, which was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Every staff member we encountered, including the bartender, was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Overall, an unforgettable experience and a must-visit for whiskey lovers (and food lovers alike)!

Great Jones Distilling Co. is a great spot and a refreshing change from the usual NYC activities. I took their distillery tour and tasting, and it was a really enjoyable experience—well-organized, informative, and fun. It’s a good option if you’re looking to do something different that’s not overly touristy. While it’s unfortunate that their restaurant has closed, the bar is still open to the public and worth checking out. The atmosphere is sleek and inviting, and it's a nice place to unwind with a well-crafted drink. Overall, a unique and worthwhile experience in the city.

I tried the Whisky Tasting experience at the Great Jones Distillery in SoHo. The distillery itself was closed, which meant no tours, and the jazz lunch I was looking forward to didn’t feature any live music that day. However, the whisky tasting itself was delightful—they served us a flight of three whiskies each, followed by our choice of a whisky cocktail from their menu. Four drinks later, it turned into a wonderfully tipsy brunch! The food was delicious, but the portions left something to be desired. My shrimp dish was particularly small, which felt a bit disappointing given the price. Thankfully, I had a Pulsd voucher that brought the total to $50 plus tax and tip, but without it, I might have found the pricing hard to justify since individual items start at $20. The atmosphere was quiet and spacious—perfect for a larger group looking for a relaxed outing. It wasn’t busy at all (refer to the last photo), perhaps due to the whisky-centric menu not being a typical brunch crowd-pleaser. Overall, it was a mixed bag: great drinks, tasty but modest portions, and an unexpectedly serene vibe. But worth a visit, but it’s unique experience!

Wow this place was such an amazing find. From the moment we checked in to our exit great service! Did a whiskey flight to start all four were great. Each one with their depths of flavor. While sipping on those we had the house pickles to munch on while we decided what to eat. I chose two of the small plates. The salad with vinaigrette and the butter poached lobster. The salad was tasty and fresh but holy cow the lobster. Some of the best lobster I have ever had. The sauce was a perfect compliment. Along with the meal I had the smoked old fashioned and it was great and fit perfectly with my meal. We finished the night with the chocolate bar for my wife and the sticky toffee for me. Both were perfect ending Our waiter was amazing with his knowledge of the menu and was there when you needed him. Just a superior time of whiskey and food. I can't recommend it enough for you to go.

I took my husband here for our 24 year anniversary. He loves whiskey varieties, and I wanted him to experience the flights they had for brunch. He loved the different flavors and the ambience of the atmosphere. We had the ribs for brunch. So much food to enjoy the portions were shareable . Cocktails were on point; and he loved the art, bar area and store to make purchases. We highly recommend this is establishment for whiskey lovers. We definitely will be back. He has already shared with his friends pictures from our brunch. They are their planning Distinguished Gentleman's Night.

A hidden gem of a distillery with a restaurant and bar that’s just as stunning inside as the whiskey they serve. I came for the whiskey, not expecting much from the food, but the small plates were a pleasant surprise. The croquettes were perfection—crispy, fatty, with just the right amount of heat from the Calabrian chili sauce. They paired beautifully with the chopped salad, which was bright and refreshingly bitter in all the right ways. The whiskey flight is reasonably priced, and the Black Manhattan? Absolutely top-notch. A perfect spot to bring your whiskey-loving friends for a night out.
