Lovely bar with sports themed decor. Lots of TV’s and a popular place for Steelers fans.. we stumbled upon it and it turned out to be a great experience. Food was delicious!!! Burger cooked perfectly and wings were awesome. Good service and fun atmosphere.
was gonna go somewhere else, but it was packed and we ended up here, which had a lot of people, but we got seats! . Great choice TV’s great food excellent bartender.!
Great little neighborhood spot. I've only been there for a post work lunch twice but the bartender and the customers(must be regulars as I ran into them both times) were very friendly. Great be selection, great food. I plan to pick up more jobs in the area so i can drop in again
We didn’t eat here but the staff member we interacted with, Liam, was great! We told him we stopped by because we read online that being a Pittsburgh bar they served Iron city, but they do not. We were not disappointed though because we loved the Pumpkin Ale. The vibes are chill and reminded me of bars at home near Pittsburgh. We’d definitely stop by again, especially for a Steelers game.
Best Steeler bar in NYC!! Easily my favorite bar in the city. Liam is the best waiter, along with the rest of the friendly staff. Every Sunday/gameday I am here, the energy is always ON!
A common bar when you look at food, drinks, prices, but it’s a really fun atmosphere and has exceptional atmosphere. It’s a bar with character, fun staff, fun music. I’d definitely come back just to sing along with my friends or grab a decent mixed drink!
I came from out of town with my family because i looked up Steelers restaurants on google. But this place was horrible. There was no room inside and no seating outside ! And the unfriendly guy only said to me that i have to buy a drink just to stand outside in the pee smelled street. Nice greeting. They let people crowd the door entrance. The outside place outside smelled horrible like a really strong urine smell(guess they dont have water to get rid of it?). No bathroom, not family friendly and i came an hour from upstate. The outside people had maybe 2 chairs and people were moving around because they were sitting directly in the sunlight and theres no sun shade. The tv outside u cant see clearly because of silly flags outside that serve no purpose except for blocking your vision. Google recommended but it SUCKS. The only sort of welcome i got was fhe guy said i had to buy a drink just to stand on the street. I was happy at first to be with other Steelers fans but theres a way nicer place around the corner with seating and bigger tvs and food. Would not recommend this place unless u like standing outside and the smell of pee and unfriendly staff lol. Steelers fans deserve the best and thats just a disgrace. No welcome or hello just u have to pay to watch. What a joke.
We walked in when it wasn’t too busy and got a table by the window. Our server came over immediately. He was friendly and checked on us several times during our visit. My daughter and I enjoyed our food. I had bangers & mash and she had a toastie. This was my second visit to Hibernia. I’m sure I’ll come back again!
The thoughtful ambiance sets the stage for good food. Hibernia Bar offers casual dining that's tidy and uplifting. Employees make you feel appreciated. The food tastes great here. Give this place one visit - you'll schedule another.
Went here with family recently looking for an authentic pub experience and some good pub grub. And that is mostly what we got. Jackson our server was friendly and attentive. The Guinness was spot on and my uncle's shepherd’s pie drew high praise. The fries were good and a chicken caesar salad was good.
HOWEVER, I am taking away two stars for something that was truly stunning. My English dad and I both ordered what is billed as “traditional” beer battered fish and chips. What we got did not in any way resemble traditional fish and chips. We each got what were basically three egg roll like things with shells that resembled chewy egg roll wrappers with a little bit of fish inside. Truly terrible. I’ll be damned if that was “traditional beer-battered” fish. So in a place where we expected great fish and chips, we got a bewildering zero-star non-attempt at authenticity.
This is the main bar for Steelers fans in NYC. We went to watch a game there. Myself and 17 y/o son. The pub is small and there was standing room only. But what an atmosphere ??? it was great fun - it was loud, the punters were excited and the bar owner played lot of music in between to push the atmosphere even further. We eventually snaffled a stool and shared it for the night. A real NY bar experience- serving staff were great too. Cannot recommend enough.
Amazing STEELERS Backers Bar in Manhattan! It was absolutely packed to the walls with people watching the game. That didn't stop this family of 5 Die Hard STEELERS fans from sticking around in a standing area and ordering the sampler plater and an order of hot wings and BBQ wings. The food was hot crispy and delicious! Beer was cold and crisp!
Tafoya chicken sandwich and torch ipa. By far the best chips (fries) I’ve ever had in NYC- the grilled chicken was supremely cooked and still mouth-wateringly tender to eat. I’ll be back to have this again and explore more on the menu !!
We visited the place based on other recommendations, and despite their A/C problems we had a wonderful time.
It was great watching Wimbledon on their big TV, sipping beer, munching on their sampler platter and spotting the neighborhood regulars.
If you want to try one dish only, I highly recommend their jalapeno stuffed peppers - they are unique and delicious!
Also to know: onion soup is not served in summer ?
Amazing atmosphere and service. Staff is friendly and inviting. Went during the St. Patrick's Day Parade and it's a bit of a walk from the parade route, but definitely worth it :)
Visiting from TX. Had the fish and chips which were outstanding. The fish batter was nice and crispy and the fries were thick and amazing. Cool atmosphere and big screen TV for watching sports.
Fabulous neighbourhood bar. We were welcomed like old friends despite it being our first visit. Comfortable big tables, decent food and good beer choices. Lovely friendly and fun atmosphere. They didn't even mind that all four of us had laptops out and were hammering through work. Also, '80s cheese playing on the TVs. Brilliant.
Came here in March 2019. I had emailed them in advance hoping they would show a Scottish Football match. They put the Hibs game on the big screen for me and the staff were brilliant. Very good pub, the food and beer were great.
Hibernia has good beer & a great kitchen. The atmosphere is comfortable; it's a solid choice for a drink with friends after a long day at work. Their weekday lunch special (pictured burger, beer, and their hand cut Irish fries) is a great choice.
