What clients say about Beyond the Edge in New York (NY)

One of the MUSTS you visit at NYC ?. Is not only a trendy place, is luxurious, is located at one of the most developed areas currently at NYC. ✅ Widely recommended.

The whole concept of the Edge is incredible - the views of the city from this observation deck are unmatched!! In addition to the views, I love that there is an educational element to the experience as you make your way to the 101st floor, where there’s information on the conservation & sustainability efforts that went into the development of Hudson Yards. Further, the gift shop (Beyond the Edge) is amazing - there are so many adorable Hudson Yards + NYC-themed items for sale! :-) I absolutely recommend this spot, the Edge is awesome!

Obviously an incredible view, it would be great it there was some sort of map to point out specific areas or buildings outside. Don’t realise just quite how windy it is. After walking around a bit and taking photos there isn’t a huge amount to do but due to the cost of the tickets feel like need to hang around a bit more. Although probably only stayed about 20 mins if that. If anything the walk through before the lifts and seeing the eco build of Hudson yards was the most interesting! The lifts themselves feel like something out of Disneyland, 100 floors in under a minute.. quite the sensation! Would be great to see either early morning or at sunset and night

Pending a full refund of my tickets I am giving this 1 star, as -10 is not an option. I bought 3 tickets in advance for 7.30 pm, specifically to see sunset at 7.39. Arrived promptly at 7.15 to find a crowd of people, some of whom had tickets for 7pm and earlier. As I write it's now 8.30 and the 'experience' so far has consisted in waiting in successive queues in various rooms bombarded by various lame but loud multimedia propaganda about how wonderful New York is, possibly borrowed from the Guantananamo Bay detention facility.
Apr 18, 2025 -
Love the view, although the deck was off limits due to strong wind. Great to have The Vessel and High Line next door. The Hudson shops are EXPENSIVE!!!
Apr 02, 2025 -
Absolutely the best time. Great views and the clean glass helped us to see everything.
Feb 22, 2025 -
Really enjoyed this tall building experience. The views are spectacular and surprisingly not that crowed on the observation deck. I suspect that varies a lot. We visited at 2:40pm and there was plenty of room to wander round and enjoy the views of NYC. I think the price is a little steep but overall worth it. We booked online whilst we were walking there and saved a few dollars on the pay at the machine option. Make sure if you go, you take the time to walk all the way round on the different levels as you have access to views on every side of the building.

Unfortunately we did not see The Edge at its best due to the bad weather - clearly not the fault of the attraction. Tickets should be booked in advance and you get a time slot for the lift up to the viewing platform. The lift itself is quite an experience since the outside (sunny) view of the ascent is projected onto the walls; something that slightly compensated for the rain outside. When we visited it wasn't too busy and despite the weather some brave souls were out on the viewing platform. I suspect that in good weather this could be a really good experience.

This is a sleek and futuristic shopping spot with a curated selection of high-end brands and unique souvenirs. The store matches the modern vibe of the Edge, offering stylish apparel, accessories, and NYC-themed collectibles. The layout is clean and well-organized, making it easy to browse, and the staff is friendly without being pushy. If you’re visiting the Edge, it’s worth stopping by to grab a cool keepsake or just check out the trendy selection.

Went for the evening slot (after sunset) and it was beautiful. Very windy and if it's a cold, you will shiver. But the view was spectacular. Everyone who worked there were great, polite, and patient. Thanks to them all for making the experience wonderful.

Really cool spot to see all of the city. Wasn’t crowded at all the day after Christmas
Dec 26, 2024 -
This was one of the most exhilarating adventures that I've ever been on, to be honest. Words simply won't do it justice, believe me, especially if you are a thrill seeker & lover of heights! This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. This monumental sky deck sits 1,100 ft. above street level, making it the highest observation deck in the Western Hemisphere. It was a chilly night in December, there was actually snow on the deck, but the view was so magnificent, that I actually became breathless. All at once forgetting the cold air, gazing upon the radiance of NYC dazzling in all her glory! This night I fell in love with NYC all over again. We are compelled to return in the summer time to do the SkyScraping Adventure that they offer as well. I can't wait to be like spiderman hanging off of the Edge!!!
Dec 26, 2024 -
By far, one of the coolest experiences in New York. We specifically wanted to go at night to get a view of the city with all of the lights. The wait to get to the top was about 45 minutes. However, once we got to the top, it was truly breathtaking. The some areas to get snacks and drinks, a little pricey (1 can of IPA $16). I know it’s NY, but wow. I guess the view makes up for it. We were able to stay up there for a while before we decided to head back down. Make sure to get your tickets in advance as they will sell out.
Dec 15, 2024 -
Superb panoramic views. Extremely fortunate to arrive with clear skies. Great clean facilities with polite, friendly and informative staff. Must see destination. Highly recommended
Dec 07, 2024 -
An absolutely amazing experience, up 100 floors. The outdoor view is very enthralling, with the wind bellowing all around and the manhattan skyline and beyond breath taking, yet terrifying at the same time. You get a 360 view of the Manhattan skyline and far beyond in New Jersey. Words are insufficient to describe the whole experience. From start to finish, it was exceptional.
Dec 05, 2024 -
Every observatory in NYC is worth visiting. Had the pleasure of arriving just as the sun had finished setting and the views of the city and the color changes in the sky were absolutely breathtaking.
Nov 13, 2024 -
For gorgeous city views and sunset! I highly recommend visiting this place atleast once when in NYC.
Nov 13, 2024 -
Fantastic tour.. tallest building in city where you can enjoy every corner of view, they served drink once you go up , also a restaurant where you can sit , enjoy meal and view
Jul 30, 2024 -
Loved the early morning view. 7th in so was lovely and quiet. Great views even though it was hazy.
Jun 06, 2024 -
Amazing view and incredible experience doing yoga on the highest ledge on the western hemisphere! A must do!
May 27, 2024 -
I have been to a few of the most known observatories of NYC, I can say this is the one I like best because it is outdoors and one of the highest (if not the highest). The glass floor is also a nice feature. You have a 360 view (not from outside but from the floor). There are a few shops and places to buy comfort food and beverages. I recommend sitting at the top of the stairs outside. You get the best view and you can sit to enjoy it.
May 26, 2024 -
Very unique experience to see the whole New York's on bird's eye views... Very spectacular sceneries....nice photo options too...
Apr 12, 2024 -
100% recommend. We went in low season in early February so did not find any long lines or too many people, but the views are fantastic. The bleachers are also a nice touch, we sat there for a long time just taking it in. It also pairs up nicely with a west side itinerary since you can do vessel + the edge + the highline + little island and finish in chelsea market and the west village.
Feb 21, 2024 -
Every valentine me and one of my besties try to do something different! This time we choose the edge..the visibility was awesome this day..although it was a lil chilly..we enjoyed the view and gift shop so much! Moe/MO helped us with any questions we had and even help us get some of the greatest pictures loll.
Feb 15, 2024 -
AMAZING. Such an amazing experience, we booked in advance and the line was long considered it’s December/holiday season but the line moved too fast, it was worth seeing the view and the beauty of New York.
Feb 04, 2024 -
Amazing. This IS the must see view point from the city for me. Loads of space, amazing views and there is the Vessel to see, the shopping center there too. You can walk to the top too if you feel the need. I really enjoyed it. I'm writing this as I queue for lifts from the top of the rock! The rock has cost me more and they wanna fleece me for more to get an iconic photo! I've spent more time queing that viewing up here. The edge is 10x better in my opinion.
Dec 13, 2023 -
It’s an experience, since you get there, they show you how they’re planning to build the cities in the future, it’s totally worth and recommended, the view in the edge is majestic, fortunately we could see the sunset, is pretty magical, if you’re coming in this season, bring an extra jacket, gloves and scarf cause it’s super cold! Also is important to know that this is one of the most popular attractions in NYC so the line is very long!
Dec 06, 2023 -
An incredible experience and while so many say they couldn’t do it you can. You don’t realise the lift is going up and it really is a magnificent view.
Sep 15, 2023 -
5June2022 I’m just now writing my review. Superb experience and didn’t have to wait long. The view is awesome and you can see the Hudson from up their. So cool to look through the floor at the street down below. Beautiful view. The bar on top serves great drinks. There is a spot above where people hang securely harnessed over the Edge looking down at the people on the lower level. Seems cool to me. I was satisfied with where I was. Amazing experience.

Definitely go check out the Gift shop for Edge NYC Observation Deck! This gift shop is open to the public and you don't have to purchase an Edge ticket to shop here. They have T-shirts, cups, magnets etc with all of the Hudson Yards buildings and logos. You can get items here for the Edge, The Vessel, the Hudson Yards Skyline, and other New York City buildings. You can also get housewares and bar items, mostly with a copper or metallic aesthetic. Many of the items also have either the observation deck, or the vessel on them. They have some cute books about NYC, seasonal items like Christmas ornaments, winter accessories, and home bar additions. Prices are reasonable for NYC gift shops, think $5 to $10 keychains, $20 cups, $30 shirts and nice quality brands like Corkcicle. My favorite items for purchase were actually vintage Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 bags that had been customized with Hudson yards design, ranging from $2000-$2500. They're in a glass case with no price tag but never hurts to ask . Next door to this gift shop is the entrance to the Observation Deck which is a must-do.
