I walked in and no one was there to guide us to where our station is, where we get clubs or how we get started. The guy at the bar finally says "you guys have a reservation?" Theres a better way to greet people and show us how to get started, instead of letting us walk around all confused... then our station had a technical issue for 10 min, no problem. They moved us to another station, great. We reserved for one hour. After we arrived, after one hour on the dot they come and tell us our session is over. They did not account for their 10 minute technical issue. All around waste of money, not going to another five iron golf again and the service at this one is atrocious. It must be nice being a worker here. You dont have to help people and you get to whack golf balls whenever you feel like it

The place smelled a bit like oil and the software was a big buggy. It was hard to get it to respond to the hits.

I’ve been to several five irons in NYC this location is really run down needs a makeover. In addition the elevator is broken and know body working there has sense to put a sign on the elevator out of order??? the other locations are much nicer etc upper east side and 6th Ave location 5 iron you need to put some money into this location or close it bad for the brand !!!

1 star for this Five Iron experience. We are normally treated well at 5i when we take clients for business events. Yesterday, they put us tucked away back in the corner, with barely enough room for my client who swings lefty. The bays were too tight, and they didn’t allow me to use my corporate gift card

Amazing experience and highly recommend. This was our first time at a golf simulator and we have no experience golfing. We were welcomed with a thorough introduction of the golf clubs and the entire golf simulator system. The whole team was awesome; We were in the middle of a game when our session expired and they offered us some extra time on the house to finish our game and play a couple more rounds. We can’t wait to go back!

Staff were all super friendly and accommodating! Took my son for his 12th birthday and the General Manager Jeff came over multiple times to give my son tips and help him with his swing. On top of that the simulators were great and just made for an enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend this place if you are an avid golfer or just looking for a fun experience with friend

Staff are awesome! Super attentive, helpful, and not judgy (good when you’re newly learning a tough sport). Would 100% recommend Five Iron for anyone even curious about trying golf or looking for a fun outing with colleagues or friends.

Awkward and uncomfortable experience. Visited on 7/22/25 as a walk-in during their 3-6 PM happy hour. At 5:55 PM, I tried to order wings. One staff member (behind the bar) began helping me, but another butted in from across the room saying the kitchen wouldn't want to make more food “so late,” and that they were “closing the kitchen” despite it being within the happy hour window and the kitchen wasn't closing as it stays open late into the evening. Oddly, my friend ordered wings minutes later—at full price—and they had no problem making those. It genuinely seemed like they just didn’t want to honor the happy hour price, and instead of saying so, they threw the bar staff member under the bus with flimsy excuses. At the expense of saving themselves $10 with the wings, the whole situation felt awkward, uncomfortable, and unnecessarily hostile, especially toward the staff member who was trying to help me. Facilities were just okay—older equipment and a weirdly placed TrackMan (placed on the right side of the bay and uncentered). The only real positive was the helpful bartender when we arrived (which is why I'm giving it 2 stars and not 1). But compared to other 5iron locations that are friendlier and better maintained, this one just didn't quite measure up.

Good place for a quick round or practice session. I have noticed that the integrity of the screens has diminished since the last time I came here(rip in the screen and not hung at the corners all the way). The mats were a little worn out and not flat. The team also had a huddle which was pretty loud and was in the middle of the entire floor where it could be all heard. Although I appreciate the camaraderie and communication, it could have been done in a quieter place and not in a central area. Overall, staff is pleasant and helpful. Just would appreciate a little more care to the facility and surroundings.

Really disappointing experience. I chose 5 Iron Golf for a small birthday gathering specifically because of their advertised deal for unlimited wings or beers at participating locations. I called twice before booking to confirm that the Flatiron NYC location was included. Both times, I was told yes — no restrictions, available all day. I even asked to double-check with someone else because I wanted to make sure before spending more money here instead of going to Hudson Golf or Chelsea Piers (both of which are cheaper and honestly nicer). When we arrived, the staff told us the deal wasn’t available at that location. I showed them my phone logs proving I had called ahead, but they said there was nothing they could do and that customer service “isn’t always aligned” with the actual locations. That’s not acceptable. I did my part — I called, I confirmed, and I brought a small group expecting what was promised. If your customer service can’t provide accurate info, why even bother having it? This felt misleading, unprofessional, and like no one was willing to take responsibility for the miscommunication. Ruined the vibe of the celebration and made me regret choosing 5 Iron.

I had a lesson with Sean K and he was great. He was very knowledgeable on all the trackman metrics and how they affect my swing. He was able to diagnose some of my issues and explain what was causing them and how I can work on them. We worked through some drills together and he gave me some to work on my own. Definitely recommend and will be going back!

I wanted to give a big shoutout to James, the GM at the flatiron location. He’s one of the best managers/leaders I’ve been around. He reminds me a lot of Winston Churchill. He is beloved and respected and runs the tightest of ships. You can tell a lot about a manager by the way they treat their employees and James strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and kindness. He treats all the employees with the utmost respect and is constantly lending a helping hand (the guy does not sit down ever. I think he’s allergic to seats). Just a great gentleman who deserves to be recognized

My husband and I went here for a date in 2022 when we were dating. We had so much fun! It was hard at first to fully understand how to use the virtual features but once we got the hang of it, we did not want to stop lol! The food was delicious! Also a very intimate space which we absolutely loved

Five Iron Golf in Flatiron is an incredible place to practice and play, and a huge part of that experience is thanks to Doug and Mike. They are both exceptionally thoughtful, kind, and always willing to help, making every visit feel welcoming and enjoyable. Their level of customer service is top-notch—they check in just the right amount, making sure you have everything you need without being overbearing. It’s rare to find people who genuinely care about their customers' experience, but Doug and Mike do this effortlessly. My children love to play here, and Doug and Mike always make them feel welcome, which means so much. Whether you're a serious golfer or just having fun, they make sure you feel valued and taken care of. Can’t recommend this spot—and these two—enough!

Way too tight. Dangerous almost. Everyone else stops while you swing to walk by. Any one walking by interferes with the equipment measuring swing. To be accurate you have to tell equipment what club you use. Inconvenient. Also they assume you know how to work equipment but it’s not intuitive. If you come early and you are waiting they don’t come find you when the space is ready. Do not assume they will do that. It seems you have to go back and remind them. The people in front of us did not leave on time. So our time gets eaten into. We booked an hour and a half but I think we probably lost 10 minutes between the people having to leave, going and reminding them, and waiting on an extra golf bag. I think it’s a lot given that you didn’t have much time to start with. So I don’t think we will be going back to this location. We might look for a place with a larger space, more comfortable accommodations, and better run

I've been taking private lessons with Nicolette and she is amazing! I came in telling her what I needed and she delivered on helping me improve so much in just 3 - 30 minute sessions. She is excellent at getting to the root of what is happening, and giving 1-2 things to think about. Additionally, she quickly understood the type of coaching that would motivate me and that has also made me keep coming back. Overall would recommend her as a coach to anyone!

This is a very cool place! The staff is friendly and the drinks are very good. They have many different clubs available and were even able to repair one on the spot at our request. You are allowed to bring your own clubs as well. The simulators were very cool, but not perfect. Sometimes a hard hit would not register at all, and there were occasional delays from hitting the ball and seeing the information on the screen. I think this depends on which pay you’re in, as some of them have different simulation hardware than others. All in all, this was a great place to spend a couple hours. I would recommend this for large or small groups looking to have some drinks and hit some balls.

This is my 5th+ winter being a member at NYC Flatiron location. While I love the product model and the staff a number of the hitting bay need a deep clean and the hitting turf replaced. You can’t let basic get worn out and run down. This simple stuff just completely undermines what’s great about 5 Iron!

I took my two sons (17 and 13) to 5 iron Herald Square for a club fitting for my son (driver) and for an hour of play on the simulator. It was amazing. The fitting lab technology is state of the art and the choices of shafts and club heads seems limitless. The pro we had was awesome (James Cunha). He was so patient and was very good at being able to extract the info from my son about feel and preference which doesn't show up on the trackman stats, but is critical in determine the perfect club fit. After the fitting we stayed for an hour to play 6 holes at Casa de Campo. I didn't make a reservation for the simulator, but we got lucky that a bay opened up. Definitely make a reservation in advance. While we waited my boys made full use of the Pop-a-shot and shuffleboard table. The place is heaven for kids and adults alike. Can't wait to go back.

I work nearby the Flatiron location and I recently stopped by after work. Five Iron Golf is a truly unique concept, it provides a virtual golf experience that actually lets you work on your game. Not only that but they also have a great bar and restaurant to boot, pay Alex and Savannah at their Flatiron location a visit, very hospitable environment with excellent customer service. I will be visiting again!

One of the best indoor golfing experiences I’ve ever had. If not the best. A cozy nook with a highly knowledgeable and attentive staff that leads to nothing but great customer service! Their vision is has a nice vibe to it and their plans for expansion is superb! I went for a full-bag club fitting via Club Champion and was surprised with the layout because to get to their floor was a bit suspect—hope that won’t fool you as it did to me. A pleasant surprise awaits you on their floor! A lounge area packed with club fitting and other accessories make it an unbelievable experience! They have a great concept where you can practice before work, and you can hit their onsite showers and be on your merry way. Great place for groups who want to arrange parties, etc! Truly a nice concept and location! I highly recommend 5 Iron.

Very nice staff, great spot for a team-building get together or just some friends. $60/hour per bay, and you can have up to 4 people per bay. Just make sure you look for the address and not a storefront... It is in a nondescript building on 5th Ave.
