I absolutely LOVE this business…from the customer service, flexibility, quality of pieces, accommodations and price. I have had my coats restored beautifully, tailored, crafted, altered and every time I was a happy customer. Jodi is a JOY in every sense of the word and the owner Marc, when he is hands on …it’s a treat!!!! Definitely my fave!!!!!!
Horrible customer service. While their selection of coats were great, I was shocked by how rude they treated me from the moment I walked in. When I would ask them how much anything was, the man immediately would say "it's expensive" and would insist on not telling me the price. They acted like I wasn't able to afford anything at the store and that I shouldn't be there.
My interaction with the owner Marc always makes it a pleasurable experience! He takes the time to get to know you and find out what your needs are! The selection of fur will match any ones desire to own a fur no matter what your budget is! What a GREAT experience!!!!
Disappointed in the customer service. I brought in a piece that had a lot of sentimental value and from the second I walked in the door I was paid no attention to. Once they reviewed my item and what I wanted, they were dismissive. I understand the fur I brought in was older and dry, but they were cold and quick to brush me aside for other customers. It was a disappointing experience. I found more thoughtful help elsewhere.
I just must add to my review.... I am in sales myself, and I know how hard it is to be exceptional. Marc Kaufman goes way over beyond and above. I'm very lucky to have found him and his Fur Store... I will only buy from Marc Kaufman Furs!!
Absolutely the best!!
One time I wore a Sasquatch mask wearing my fake full length fur coat right out of the subway entrance and did a surprise type of thing. And it got funny weird attention.
I wore a Kaufman fur and I got so much attention. I could barely handle it but the comfort and right amount breathability made me forget sometimes I was wearing it besides keeping it clean. I believe I wore one to an event and a business day.

I Googled “black fur coats” and the website brought me directly to Marc Kaufman Furs. Great customer service and Jody’s service was exceptional!
I ordered the fur coat shown in this picture (picture taken from the website) and THEY NAILED IT! I also ordered the matching hat…perfect! I only had one small hiccup, when I tried it on it was slightly too big. HOWEVER, I reached out to Marc directly and without fail he said “no problem!”
It is their goal to ensure that the customer is 100% satisfied, without fail. In addition to the price, the customer service was EXCEPTIONAL! This is my first fur coat purchase and I’m exceedingly pleased that I chose Marc Kaufman Furs as my FIRST AND FINAL FURIER (if that’s even a word?)

Great Pieces with Friendly and professional staff. Ive been shopping here for over 15 years. My pieces are in great condition and I've passed a few pieces down to my daughters. I highly recommend this establishment.

Very professional and friendly staff. Mink fur is of upmost quality does not shed at all. Overall the jacket I got was a stunning piece and prices are much reasonable compared to other stores in person and online. Even their cleaning service is great as well. Lots of variety, and styles for men and women furs as well.
Wanted a custom fur hood ruff for my parka
Amazing service and quality - just delighted in every aspect of the small job that they undertook. Left a voicemail - Jody returned the call the next morning - unheard of !!
Brief discussion and verbal quote - sent the hood ruff base fabric in and I received the finished product in a very reasonable time frame. Excellent work and company and service.

I thought after a year I'll revisit this place. Knowing exactly what I wanted as it shown to me at my last visit a year ago. To my surprise the man that greeted me brought out the same exact coat I saw last year which I loved. Also, as mentioned last year I wanted the coat longer. Unfortunately, unlike last year Marc told me it can't be done. Not to a new existing coat that is but after further explaining. A newly custom made coat exactly the one I wanted can be done and how I would prefer it, long. So, I will definitely be back to start on my new custom made mink coat. Thanks to Marc for taking the time to explain the process to an amateur like me. More than anything I value respect and honesty. And Marc Kaufman exemplifies both. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I reached out to discuss a few vest and jackets I liked on the website. I was not prepared for the 5 star service I received! Marc asked my height and weight. Then sized me accordingly, like a real furrier. That’s when I knew I’ll be getting my next fur here. Very impressed.
This is one of those gems you only find in New York City. Service and selection was excellent so happy with the recent purchase. I knew a limited amount and they helped me find a perfect fur a coat for my wife. Price was great in cash. Can’t wait to go out and show this beauty out.
I've been a customer for over twenty years Kaufman furs is my go to place for furs. Saw one on the website during the height of covid and gave a deposit, when the showroom opened up I saw another jacket I liked better. Marc wasn't in the showroom but one call to him and it was no problem. Quality furs and quality service. I love Kaufman furs

We were in NYC for the 2019 Westminster Dog Show. I have a Tibetan Lamb coat, now considered vintage, that I so love. It has been well loved for 30 years and needed to be replaced. Jody was fabulous in helping to make my dream of a new, vintage style coat a reality. As I had to leave my coat behind she was amazing in finding me a fantastic deal on a shearling coat to keep me warm for the remainder of my stay. Marc Kaufman fur provided a great proprietary experience that hardly exists in this world anymore from their small shop on 30th. The coat is beautiful, and my wife is one happy camper. Marc is family. He’s been with my family for over 15 years. He doesn’t take your money, because he really doesn’t need it; the customer comes first. He lets you know your best options at reasonable and comparable prices while educating you on everything from ethical fur purchases,quality skins the latest in trends and frivolous spending vs long term wear whether it’s his pieces or not. I live in Albany, so making the trip to NYC to store my coat was a big deal. I read reviews and based on them I took a chance. I contacted Marc Kaufman`s spoke to Jody what an amazing person. Customer service is exceptional, felt like I had been a long time customer. Marc even came and waited with my car while I went inside. Used them for storage,cleaning and repair. I received two furs as presents from my family - hand me downs. One of them was very dated, 70s style with short sleeves and large shoulder pads. Marc created a masterpiece and I couldn’t be happier with my new coat. Beautiful! So happy- he performed magic.
I was on a trip to NYC from Atlanta. My fur coat ripped while touring the city of New York. I had an event t got to the next day. I found Marc Kaufman Furs online. I contacted them and spoke to Marc Kaufman himself. I told him my problem with the coat and the event the next day. He expedited repair on my fur cot so that I had it back in time for the event. I recommend Marc Kaufman Furs if you should need a repair done fast and right the first time!

I was very impressed with the selection on the website. I do not live in the NYC area and was timid about purchasing without being able to see my item first. I ordered the men's crystal fox bomber over the phone with them. Marc did an amazing job on it! It's at least as nice as the one shown on their website, if not nicer. He also was able to do it in a very reasonable amount of time. They kept me updated on when it shipped and gave me a tracking number. It arrived in perfect condition and fits great! I highly recommend this place. Outstanding!
As an unapologetic fur-lover, I must say that Kaufman Furs is tops. After getting a long-coming promotion at work , I decided to celebrate treat myself to a Blackgama mink and boy, am I delighted with my choice.
Marc and Jodi provided excellent service and you can tell that this family-owned business is a real labor of love. If you are considering buying a fur coat, skip Saks and Bergdorf's and shop small instead!
For the past 5 years my husband purchases at least 3 fur coats from Mark Kaufman for me for Christmas and the styling, service and quality has been great.
