Eleven Madison Park redefined what fine dining means in New York and then redefined it again when they went fully plant-based. Daniel Humm took one of the most celebrated tasting menus in the world and rebuilt it from scratch without animal products and somehow made it even more creative. The multi-course experience is a journey through technique presentation and flavor that challenges everything you think you know about vegetables grains and fruits. Each course arrives like a small piece of art and tastes even better than it looks. The sunflower butter with sourdough bread is so good that it could be the entire meal and you would leave satisfied. The dining room overlooking Madison Square Park is one of the most beautiful restaurant spaces in the city high ceilings natural light and an energy that is both serious and joyful. The service is beyond anything I have experienced elsewhere every member of the team is knowledgeable passionate and genuinely invested in your experience. They explain each dish with enthusiasm that is contagious. The wine and beverage pairings are inventive and perfectly matched. This is a restaurant that asks you to trust the kitchen and rewards that trust completely. Whether you agree with the plant-based direction or not you cannot deny the ambition and execution. Eleven Madison Park is not just a restaurant it is a statement about what food can be when creativity has no ceiling.

In life, you rarely get the opportunity to go to Eleven Madison Park. When you do, you arrive excited, thrilled, and very curious about what to expect, maybe even a little stressed by the whole fine-dining scene and such elevated service. Sometimes you wonder if this world is really for you. But honestly, from the moment I stepped inside and sat down, everything changed. The service, the food—everything was exquisite. The entire staff seemed to know everything about everyone. It was truly impressive. It was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had in my life, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation and its Three Michelin Stars. So kudos to the entire team, huge respect to all of you. I also loved the selection of cutlery and silverware. Beautiful pieces, excellent products, perfectly polished, and clearly chosen with great care. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Likely the most amazing dinner you'll have. Every course was to die for; the staff was beyond perfect. Do not fear, carnivores, their vegan items will astound and delight you! There's a few courses where you have the choice between a plant-based dish like the rest of the menu and an animal protein dish. We got both, and though the animal proteins were still amazing, I felt the plant based dishes stacked up slightly better.

When we went to Eleven Madison Park and ate in the dining room, we were amazed at how special the experience was. Magical was the word we used when talking about it. The food was beautiful. The food was delicious. The wait staff was remarkable. The wait staff not only delivered amazing food, they delivered a theatrical experience. Each delivery of the luscious food and wine was a delightful event. We returned this Saturday February 28th and did a food and wine tasting in the bar. We didn’t know what to expect of the bar experience. It was also a magical evening. Our wait staff made a point of making the evening fun. They made my birthday celebration delightful. To quote a friend that was dining with us, "I have been to Michelin star restaurants in Europe and other cities in the USA, and this one delivers the full experience above the others”. Thank you for a phenomenal experience again.

A very disappointing experience. The table was near the door, and the cold air hit my back the entire time. The place is a large room that offers no intimacy, with resounding acoustics. The first course was bread with onions, with a butter that had a very strong flavor. The second course was rice with a super spicy sauce. My palate was completely on fire, making it impossible to truly savor the subsequent courses. The cold dishes were frozen, and those that were supposed to be hot were lukewarm. Dessert was a granita, also covered in the aroma of the Amaetroc di Saronno. No dish offered the opportunity to savor the true essence of the products, except for the mushroom one, which really highlighted the product. The staff was attentive and kind, and even the chef, who conducted the table tour, was very helpful and friendly. Maybe we Italians have a different cuisine, but I believe that an experience in a starred restaurant should excite and convey something. This is what's missing.

EDIT: Updating to one star as it’s discouraging no one ever reached out to apologize for our experience. Three months later, we are still are score by our experience at what is supposed to be one of the greatest restaurants in the world. It makes me sad to share that I had an underwhelming experience here last night. I dined at Eleven Madison Park with high expectations, and unfortunately the experience fell short of what a restaurant of this reputation should deliver. This visit was especially meaningful, as it was both my birthday and New Year’s Eve, and EMP has long been my number one must-try restaurant in the world. I’ve worked in the service industry for a decade and have read Unreasonable Hospitality multiple times. I truly admire the philosophy behind this book, which made this experience even more disappointing. From the beginning, we felt rushed. We were hurried over to our table 20 minutes before our reservation when we had hoped for a drink at the upstairs bar first. Our table was shoved in a corner and was lacking white table cloths/more elegant settings since we were seated at a bar table. The first course arrived before our cocktails, which threw off the pacing of the meal and felt very rushed. One particularly surprising moment was when my soup was poured into my water glass instead of the proper vessel. I was sad that more soup was not brought to replenish my serving as it was delicious, but I feel I missed about a quarter of the serving from the faux pas. I was very disappointed that the duck was removed from the tasting menu for the night as this was a course I have been fantasizing about trying for over a year. I was excited it was supposed to be back now that the restaurant is no longer vegan. Dessert arrived frozen solid, we could not break into it. My date’s dessert went flying off his plate from his effort to cut into it, so it had to be replaced. While mistakes can happen anywhere, experiencing this many issues at a restaurant that holds three Michelin stars was genuinely underwhelming. What stood out most was the service overall. The servers felt over-rehearsed and burnt out, like they were just going through the motions rather than offering genuine hospitality. I believe this is why so many mistakes were made. My date remarked that the staff felt very green, but my feeling was that holiday burn out was wearing everyone thin. At this price point, and at a three-Michelin-star level, the experience should feel thoughtful, seamless, and warm. Instead, it felt rushed and mechanical, lacking the care and attention to detail that make a meal truly special. I am hopeful that these rare mistakes can be addressed and corrected for future diners to better enjoy the experience I had anticipated for so long.

As a Michelin Star restaurant lover I was looking forward to try 11 Madison. Unfortunately the food was either too salty, or too plain, lobster dish was just fine but we didn’t enjoy any other dish ( we took both regular and vegan menu to try). I’m honestly very confused how this restaurant received any Michelin star. On top of that they low key ruined the birthday we booked to celebrate. It was such a long boring service with little knowledge of what they were serving with long wait between meal. Drinks were fine but didn’t compliment the food which is not ok for the price of the restaurant. When they asked how was our experience at the end - we mentioned that the birthday was not celebrated they said they ran out of candles sorry. What a lame excuse for $1000 dinner, you’re in Manhattan - go buy a candle from any pharmacy nearby!! The desert was shaved ice in the coldest winter ever in NYC ,they offered us tea before serving dessert which obviously won’t go with shaved ice! I get they want to sale the tea but offer something that goes with the desert at least! Beware and don’t waste your time and money. Better go to - Le Bernardin - it delivers what 11 Madison promises.

Fine dining at its peak of perfection. This place is a 10/10. One of the most creative meals we’ve ever had utilizing ingredients that could be thought of as “plain” but executed with absolute perfection. Service was honestly a little slow, we came for the collaboration menu with Central (from Peru), execution was excellent but we found ourselves sitting there waiting for our food a lot of times. Bread was delicious and so was the butter.

Good experience, but not even close to worth the cost of the dinner. The food was very good, and the service was very good as well, but neither were to the standard that we expected for what was voted the best restaurant in the world. The sommelier talked us into a wine that was around double the price of a bottle we were looking at and it was just decent. He also promised us a glass of the cheaper wine we were looking at, but we never received that, and by the time we asked to speak with him he was gone. Besides the bread, which was the best bread I have ever had in my life, nothing else left a lasting positive impression on me. The kitchen tour, which we had to ask for, was pretty cool, but the kitchen tour at Alenia in Chicago is far and above a better experience. For a place that prides itself on customer service, it seemed as if you were bothering people to ask for things. I was even dumb enough to leave a 20% tip on top of my meal (maybe it was the overpriced wine bottle), and it seemed as if the staff was still learning. The one thing I would give them is if they did not know something they would not lie to you, but they would ask others. It was also cool to see how they move around the room in patterns. Unless they greatly improve, I think that there are much better dining experiences in the city for much more reasonable prices.

Daniel Humm and Eleven Madison Park have long been on my personal culinary to-do list, and during our honeymoon the moment finally arrived. On our second evening in New York, despite feeling the effects of jet lag, we were incredibly excited for the night—and we were not disappointed. The entire team was aware that we had just gotten married and were celebrating our honeymoon, which made the experience feel even more personal and special. The food was exceptional, with the dessert in particular truly standing out and leaving a lasting impression. From the warm welcome to the impeccable service until the very end, everything was flawless. We were even invited into the kitchen for a behind-the-scenes glimpse, where we were surprised with a small snack after dessert. Afterwards, we were able to end the evening at a private table, enjoying the moment and reflecting on a truly magical experience. Thank you for an unforgettable evening and for the thoughtful little gift at the end—it meant a great deal to us.

Came here for a birthday celebration! It was amazing! The staff was so on point, I didn’t even know when they were refilling my glass with water. So happy there is Meat on the menu again! The team was great, they work so well together. It was an army there! A shout out to Brandon. And the staff member that heard me when I said “oh I would love another one of those” then there it was another one! We will be back for the next menu

Incredible incredible incredible evening. Best Dinner in a decade. Went here for my 5th wedding anniversary and my wife and I were floored by all the surprise and delights. We had both read “unreasonable hospitality”, so we were familiar with the vision of the space. but it blew away every expectation we had. Huge thanks to our amazing server Kalem Scott, Marina our greeter and Chloe our Kitchen Tour guide that showed us behind the scenes. Book a reservation here as soon as you can. They pull out all the stops. We even got to meet Chef Daniel Humm.

Huge disappointment. Visited the week that they started serving meat back in October. Their vegetarian dishes were great but the protein or the meat courses were a huge disappointment. They were bland, not enough flavor and overcooked. They also served soba which tasted like any regular soba you can get for $15 in the city. For Michelin 3 stars, a huge disappointment. Will not recommend.

Our evening at Eleven Madison Park was, without question, the most beautiful gastronomic experience of my life. We chose the eight-course tasting menu, and each course offered a unique and extraordinary expression of flavor. It’s truly difficult to name a favorite dish, every plate was exceptional in its own way. Beyond the sheer joy our palates experienced, the service was absolutely impeccable. Thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely kind, the entire team made us feel deeply welcomed throughout the evening. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a memorable and unforgettable night.

We really enjoyed our experience at Eleven Madison Park. We got there just before they opened at 5p so we could grab bar seats without a reservation so we could try the drinks and food without paying for the whole prix fixe dinner. The drinks we got were all phenomenal (2 cocktails, a mocktail, and then they kindly let me wife try several wines until she found one she liked). Service was generally excellent and they were fun and patient in helping us navigate the menu. At one point we'd been waiting for several minutes with empty glasses and plates trying to get someone's attention (but they seemed really busy and focused) but eventually they did get back to us. Still great service overall but I guess I expected someone to always be keeping tabs on us. The radish variations dish and red curry dish were both delicious, although neither felt so amazing to justify the price:size ratio to us. Definitely enjoyable, but for example the red curry wasn't much different than what you'd get at a good Thai place but much less. Overall I'd recommend people try out the bar for the drinks and the service but we wouldn't return for the food (even though we appreciate having fancy vegan options).

The dining experience at Eleven Madison was ultimately a rollercoaster of highs and lows. The service is the peak, with staff members anticipating patrons’ needs and attending to the finest of details. The food however, was seemingly not as intentional. There was an incessant tug of war between captivating and unimpressive dishes. Also, the pacing between courses was tedious—amounting to four hours—and the progression lacked a cohesive culinary narrative. It is with great disappointment that my experience was misaligned with the expectations generated by the restaurant’s reputation.

One of the best meals I’ve had, across food, service and beverage. Loved the inventiveness of some of the dishes, especially the potato, duck and the coconut dessert. Wine pairing is very good as well. Service is attentive and personable. Very blessed to be treated here.

EMP has been on my bucket list for a long time. When I found out they were featuring meat courses again, I was ecstatic because we happen to be in town. I was lucky enough to grab one of their bar tasting menu reservations. We’ve had the privilege to dine at many Worlds Best and Michelin starred restaurants around the world, so I had extremely high hopes. The courses were good, but nothing really wowed me. I wish they offered less vegan courses. Since we do not drink alcohol, I was surprised to see a non-alcoholic wine pairing. I opted for it ($135) bc I was intrigued, but I would not get it again. The white pairings were delicious, but the red pairings all tasted sour and left a bad aftertaste. I only had a sip. Service was exceptional, I did not expect anything less. For the price, I would rather go to Per Se or Le Bernardin.

First heard about the restaurant back in 2017, when it took the No. 1 spot on World’s 50 Best. Didn’t know much about fine dining back then, but even so, it immediately landed on my bucket list. Then EMP went fully vegan. My friends and I hesitated. I love great plant-based cooking, but at that price point, it’s a gamble. Still, after reading Will Guidara’s Unreasonable Hospitality and hearing about the recent change (back to MEAT), I finally pulled the trigger. Food-wise, it wasn’t the most extraordinary tasting menu I’ve had. But the hospitality. The best I’ve experienced in the U.S. The menu was still a vegan–meat hybrid, with only three non-vegan options available to swap in: scallop ceviche, poached lobster, and honey lavender duck. In hindsight, that mix was probably what made the experience feel more special than a fully vegan menu would have. A completely plant-based lineup can be impressive, but the flavor spectrum is inevitably narrower. Some dishes, like the leek and mushroom dumplings, felt more like attempts to mimic non-vegan flavors than to embrace their own ingredients. Interesting, but not particularly moving. Yet, three of the vegan dishes ended up being my favs. The meat courses were great, but didn’t reach that same level of nuance or impact. At most fine dining restaurants of this caliber, a tasting menu starts with something small and delicate (usually amuse bouche). EMP did the opposite. They opened with a loaf of vegan laminated bread, onion butter, and a roasted allium & leek broth. It’s almost a full meal’s worth of food right out of the gate, but honestly, I couldn’t complain. The bread was incredible. Flaky, layered, almost too buttery for being vegan. The onion butter added savory & subtly sweet, and somehow so satisfying that it felt like eating a full sandwich without the heavy toppings. The allium broth tied it all together with deeper roasted notes, echoing the same flavors in a more concentrated form (it kind of smelled like a really rich pho broth). Borderline excessive, but impossible not to finish. Soba – Wasn’t sold on the first couple of bites, but the dish unfolded in layers I’d never experienced in a cold soba before. Growing up, I had countless versions of cold buckwheat soba, and the texture was always the whole story (since buckwheat itself is notoriously tricky to work with). Here, the noodles were spot-on. Firm, no hint of mushiness. But what surprised me was how each slurp carried a different dimension. The first was sharp and refreshing with pure tomato water. Then came the herbal aroma of Thai basil. Another bite leaned nutty, with roasted sesame seeds releasing just enough crunch and warmth. It felt almost engineered as if each element was portioned to create a rhythm between acidity, fragrance, and nuttiness. The sesame note in particular was addictive, and it felt like they precisely halved the sesame seeds to release more of that aroma while maintaining that crunch. Potato – This ended up being my favorite dish. Potato in multiple forms (purée, smoked and crisped, and powdered) and crowned with a generous spoon of “land caviar.” The tonburi seeds had that same satisfying pop as tobiko, but instead of their usual broccoli-like flavor, they were infused with sea grapes, bringing a subtle oceanic umami. A reinterpretation of the classic potato and caviar pairing that actually made sense. Honey Lavender Duck – I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t the dish I was most excited for. The duck breast was beautifully cooked, with a perfect ratio of tender meat, fat, and crisped skin. But despite the name, the honey and lavender never really showed up. I caught them in the first few bites before the Sichuan peppercorns on top muscled in and took over. Technically flawless duck, just not the honey-lavender balance I was hoping for.

Disappointment is the perfect way to describe this experience. We were so excited to try the new menu which included the return of the honey-lavender duck. A return to the glorious past right? Unfortunately, the menu is still primarily vegetarian and while decent, not special. The laminated bread with onion butter is the starter and it's really good. The onion broth give the butter a complex and interesting flavor. The next dish, leek and coriander steamed collard green dumplings was average. There's a nice use of spices, especially saffron, but still not a standout. The highlight to the soba noodles dish was the tomatoes which were truly impressive but that can't hold a dish, especially with the noodles being bland. The butter-poached lobster was also nice but not particularly memorable as it needs something more to be impressive. Next was the potato, served in a clay pot with land caviar (seeds) and chive blossom. This was a really great dish and while the vegetarian caviar didn't taste quite like the real thing, it was very good. The potato itself was cooked perfectly and overall this was my favorite. Now on to the duck. You've read about it and there was a lot of hype but the truth is it was tough and the lavender only numbed my taste buds. This is the definitive example of a bland dish. It also would have been helpful to have a steak knife since the duck was so tough (!). Finally on to the service, with for a 3 star should have been over the top. Yes there's a lot of staff but they are very mechanical and cold. When I mentioned the tough duck and my disappointment with it, the waiter literally said "ok, now let me tell you about the dessert". Wow. I'm not expecting a freebie but at least acknowledge you'll tell the chef.. Overall all the bad buzz is real and having dined in many Michelin started restaurants, including past iterations of this one, this was one of my least impressive visits.

Wow, what an incredible experience! I only wish they were remaining vegan. Even so, there’s no place like it, and it was truly a special night. I loved absolutely everything I tried, and every last thing was unique and an explosion of flavor. The wine tasting menu was amazing, though expensive (but it’s a Michelin star experience, so I guess that’s to be expected). I’m sad they won’t be vegan anymore soon, but I’m glad I got to visit before that happens. Wow, definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

I first discovered the restaurant through Will Guidara’s book Unreasonable Hospitality, and it truly lived up to everything he wrote about. From the moment we walked in, every detail — the service, the ambiance, and the creativity behind each course — felt intentional and heartfelt. The plant-based menu was beautifully crafted, and the team made us feel genuinely special throughout the evening. It wasn’t just a meal; it was a celebration of care, thoughtfulness, and everything great hospitality should be.

Eleven Madison Park encompasses the prestige of fine dining without feeling sterile. The dining room is breathtaking and refined, plushly furnished with delicate lustrousness throughout. I indulged in the full tasting menu complemented by champagne to celebrate my 10th Vegan Anniversary, and the experience did not disappoint. Although the menu had abruptly contrasting flavor elements that missed a critical mark of cohesion for me, each dish did present texture and flavor that could hypothetically stand on its own. I felt satiated by both the meal and the value of the experience. The shining star of Eleven Madison Park is the reputation for hospitality, which is evident in every interaction with staff from the front door to the kitchen. I felt like a princess, doted on and catered to, truly valued not only as a guest but as a person. However, I do have to admit that the transition away from an entirely plant-based menu comes as a betrayal to those of us who aim to support vegan establishments. I traveled from Indiana to experience the innovation of the only Three Michelin Star ALL VEGAN restaurant in the world. As Eleven Madison Park regresses into offering animal flesh products once again, the allure of distinction will be lost. I really, really enjoyed my experience, but ethically I do not see myself visiting again for this reason.

EMP has been a bucket list restaurant for me for quite a long time. Being all vegan made it even more interesting because I didn't know what to expect. I believe this place definitely deserves their 3 Michelin stars. This is the best food I've ever had! Everything tasted so fresh and the flavors worked extremely well with each other. The service was the best I've ever had. If you're thinking about dining here, stop thinking about it, you have to try this!

Phenomenal. This is truly plant-based dining, elevated. We had the 8-course tasting menu - even though our autumnal menu didn't feature stunts (like liquid nitrogen), there were constant elements of delight. Even though our expectations were sky-high, overall the peaks exceeded our expectations. Course 1: Bread (10/10) - still my favourite thing. Having the bread alone is already delicious - like an onion croissant - but then dipping it in the incredibly savoury broth really transforms it into something mind-blowing, and the garlic butter! With caremalised onion - better than any onion jam you've had. Such pure delicious alliums. A spectacular three-in-one. Course 2: Leeks & dumpling (8/10) - the dumpling is so surprisingly savoury and complex, perhaps the most umami fish of the night. It alone is my second-favourite part of the night The leek salad is OK - the vinaigrette brings an important sweetness, but overall still too acidic for my tastes. Course 3: sunflower hearts + petal w/ bean puree (6/10) - the bean puree is the best part of this, surprisingly light and herbal but savoury. But I was underwhelmed by the sunflower hearts, although the petals are nicely spiced. Course 4: tempura eggplant (8/10) - a medley of textures with the creamy eggplant and the right amount of crunch from the barely-there batter. The sweet neutrality of the eggplant is a perfect foundation for the extreme savoriness of the topping, and the splash of date and chili is so well-done. Extremely well balanced. Course 5: silken tofu (6.5/10) / curry squash (8/10) - the curry sauce of the squash dish is truly the star. The silken tofu curry is a bit too acidic, whereas the sweetness of the squash plays very well with the galangal-forward, deeply savoury curry. Course 6: confit potato w/ lentil cream & 'caviar' and potato puree (7.5/10) the confit potato is soo soft. The cream is dessert-like and surprising, but a beautiful complement to the caviar. The mushroom powder atop the potato is also much-needed and delicious. Course 7: pobalo pepper w/ masa + seitan & corn (7.5/10) / maitake mushroom (6.5/10) - the poblano pepper is very well-balanced, with the masa helping the slightly-acidic, moreish sauce shine and tone down the intensity. The corn is a surprising hit of acidity and, of course, sweetness - overall a delightful dish. The maitake mushroom w/ mushroom puree is unfortunately too intense for me, with extreme savoriness, but my partner loved it. Course 8: 'cheesecake' with seasonal berries & sorbet (7/10) - this is an interesting deconstructed cheesecake, with most of that flavour residing in a thin cream rim around what is basically cream and sorbet. Still, the berries are beautiful and it's a nice fresh ending. We also got chocolate pretzels as a finisher and, of course, the granola. Overall a truly delighting experience. We have to come back despite the steep price tag!

Visiting New York and going to this restaurant was a dream of mine as soon as I found out they were making the entire menu vegan ? It's a shame they're switching back to a meat-based menu, but I'm glad I made it in time. The service was very nice and professional. The food was amazing and they even prepared a gluten-free menu for me so I could enjoy the food too. We had a reservation in advance, so they already knew about us and had a table ready ?. It was literally a dream come true, and at the end we even received a little gift as a thank you ❤️ It was pleasure, thank you so much for a wonderfull time and great, delicious meal. ?❤️

If ever a plant-based restaurant deserved 6 stars, it's Eleven Madison Park. They proved that you don't need to serve animal products as part of the very best dining experiences. This review is written after the announcement that they're soon returning to serving animal products as part of the menu but before they've made this transition. It was difficult deciding how to write and frame this review given the recent announcement made after we made and pre-paid our reservation, but in the end we're reviewing the restaurant as visited based on what we experienced. We hope that reviews like ours will help convince the management that the plant-based tasting should at least remain the default option, as it's a great shame to lose what the restaurant represents (or represented). Having the plant-based menu as the default, while offering optional omnivorous swaps to secure the bookings they need to remain in business, would be an acceptable compromise in our opinion (as we believe it's better for a place like this to exist and provide a plant-based experience than not at all). It's easy to condemn a restaurant that serves an omnivorous customer base, and in an ideal world we would all be plant-based, but with the closures of so many vegan restaurants in both the UK and US (one even closed its doors between the planning stage and the trip itself), we think it's better that vegan dining experiences exist alongside options we wouldn't have if that's the genuine difference between closure and staying afloat. That said, the experience we had was second to none. We booked the full tasting menu and added a cake to the booking. We also opted for the non-alcoholic pairing to go with the tasting (not selectable at booking but possible to request at the restaurant). We were emailed ahead of time to ask if we needed any accommodations or if we were celebrating any special occasions, and we'd let them know that we were coming as a joint honeymoon highlight/30th birthday meal. The restaurant gave us personalised, hand-written cards in reference to both shortly after we were taken to our table, and the staff were extremely friendly and outwardly interested in our trip. I cannot understate how excellent the service staff were. We're not used to Michelin-star level service (it's difficult to find it at all if you're vegan), but it blew every possible expectation out of the water, especially as we're used to the less personal, less enthusiastic service of the UK. Every single member of staff that we spoke to or were served by was warm, knowledgeable, courteous and really made us feel special. The food was without doubt the greatest meal we've ever eaten. Every single course was an exercise in brilliance, from presentation to flavour. Pictured are some highlights, but some elements/dishes weren't photographed. The non-alcoholic pairings were undoubtedly a great choice, as it was explained that every one was prepared on-site in partnership with the chefs to ensure that each paired and complemented the course it was served with. Primarily consisting of the juice of a grape varietal traditionally used in wine, each one was imbued with aromatics, spices and infusions to shape the taste exactly to go alongside each course seamlessly. Every single thing we ate and drank tasted amazing, ranging from in-your-face flavours to more subtly elegant dishes. Every single course and pairing was explained by the staff, which really added to the experience. One particular highlight was the preparation table-side of the smoked hasselback potato, tonburi 'land caviar', pomme purée, seaweed cream and chive blossoms. The service staff assembled the dish in front of us, walking through it while demonstrating excellent quenelle technique. To close out, we had a coffee and a tea (for which the staff were more than happy to walk us through the options and their own recommendations) and the prepaid cake, which, before it was served, was presented with a birthday candle for us to take photos if we wished. A once-in-a-lifetime experience we will never forget.

I went here after years of anticipation for a chef’s experience birthday dinner. There were some really nice touches like the house made granola he gave me as a gift at the end but overall compared to other restaurants it was a little underwhelming. I usually keep Halal and I know that 11 Madison Park has gone entirely plant based and while The creativity was impressive, I found sunflower butter to be a tad bit overused. There was also a conspicuous lack of abuse bouches relative to their peer restaurants in the city and around the world in the La grande table du monde league. The service was Michelin level in terms of being attentive without being obstructive and invasive. I appreciated the tagin inspired potato and the “ land caviar” they have been featuring heavily called “tonburi”. The eggplant fritter with the chilli jam was my favorite along with the global rotation of flavors in each dish. The original dessert with berries and cream was remarkable, but the chocolate that I ordered left something to be desired. The mocktail’s definitely delivered as did the tea and the croissant. I will probably come back for the lounge but stick to à la carte..
