What clients say about Hilton New York Fashion District in New York (NY)

A great stay here. Had to stay two extra days due to flight delays and they were able to get us a room. Very clean and great location.

First time at this location for a stay, us being diamond members; we’ve stayed at several other properties including in nyc itself. We loved that 2 restaurants were available to choose from. Unfortunately roof top was not open because of weather. We got to try room service from the restaurant on the main floor and it was absolutely amazing and tasteful and highly recommended. We decided to stay at the last high floor available and it was a beautiful view from there and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Valentines weekend was crazy but we loved the Hilton app which allows us to check in remotely and lets us skip the desk to go right to the room. The room was on the small side but they still made it so we could still get around in the room with no issues. It was clean and comfortable overall, I mean the bed was so soft and pillows - I love Hilton stays!

Great location. Super nice staff. Marian checked us in! She is great! The room was spacious and near Midtown. We got there before check in an and they stored our bags. Anytime we needed more towels or toilet paper they brought right up. Tips: excellent coffee down the street at Indiecoco . There is a Whole Foods, and Sunak for the picky eaters. Easy to get around to the subways about 7 minute walk. If I had more $$ I would have gotten a room with a view (the higher floors) but our corner room had a nice sized room for NYC standards. Showers are strong and there is shampoo and conditioner and hair dryer in the room.

I had a very positive experience staying here. The location is truly unbeatable for anyone wanting to be in the center of New York City (5/5). Both the service and the rooms were high-quality and met expectations (4/5). It is a sleek, modern choice that delivers a top-tier atmosphere, with just minor room for improvement to reach that perfect 5-star mark.
Feb 12, 2026 -
Excellent location, easy walks to hudson River, Pier 57 and access to all the great NY destinations. Staff are freindly. Rooftop bar has excellent views and atmosphere
Feb 10, 2026 -
It wasn’t a perfect stay. The heater did not work properly and most of the time the room was cold, which is unacceptable given the weather. Sound insulation was very poor, you can hear noise clearly from neighboring rooms. This is not what I would expect from a Hilton property. On the positive side, the room size was good for New York.

The good: Rooms are clean, showers have excellent water pressure, very comfortable beds and central location. The bad: Insanely loud. Our room was facing north towards 26th, and i did not get any sleep due to hearing the trash trucks banging around at 3am. The ugly: We had neighbors in an adjacent room that came in at 2:30AM for three nights in a row. They would knock on doors repeatedly, slam doors shut, and talk so loudly that i could hear them from the bed. Multiple calls to front desk and we couldnt get a different room, all were occupied. We fought for a refund and were told nothing could be done because it was “prepaid”. Fought to barely get any credit back after 3 missed nights of sleep. I have stayed in 75+ hotels easily and never heard such loud rooms, even in Manhattan. Never staying in a Hilton again.

Extremely disappointed with how this hotel handled a medically necessary cancellation. My friend and I booked a room for one night (January 17–18) directly through the Hilton website. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with mononucleosis right before the trip and was advised by urgent care not to travel, as the condition is contagious and I was not medically fit to do so. I provided official documentation from my doctor. I contacted the hotel immediately to inquire about a refund. The manager was unhelpful and incorrectly stated that we did not book directly with the hotel, despite using Hilton’s own website (which uses a third-party booking service). I was then directed to Guest Reservations, where I submitted my doctor’s letter. I called every day for over two weeks and never received any update or resolution. When I contacted the hotel again, the manager stated that because I was the only one with mononucleosis and my friend was not, no refund, full or partial, would be considered. This was despite clear medical documentation and the fact that I was following medical advice to avoid travel and exposing others. The manager was rude and unprofessional, and no attempt was made to offer any reasonable accommodation, even a partial refund or credit. For a hotel under the Hilton name, this level of customer service was unacceptable. I would strongly caution others when booking here, especially if unexpected medical issues arise.

Enjoyed a great stay in the Hilton last night. The room was spacious and clean. Prime location in Chelsea, with a great breakfast to finish the stay before braving the snow. The reception staff were incredibly accommodating, Sid was welcoming and happy to help with any queries. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a hotel in this area!
Jan 25, 2026 -
Location very convenient. The reception staff was really unfriendly. You cannot call yourself 4 star Hilton hotel and do not provide slippers. The breakfast not worth the money, only one plate to choose per day and filter coffee or tea. No juice or anything else. Save the money to eat somewhere else. All in all a big disappointment. Only the location is worth. You should train better your reception employeer to be more attentive and do not treat us like they are doing a favor to us. Such a shame.
Jan 16, 2026 -
Our room was clean and comfortable with newer furnishings and the staff were amazing. They were helpful, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in the city.
Jan 06, 2026 -
Customer service was disappointing and impersonal. When I queried why there was no coffee in the room, there was no acknowledgement or explanation offered. I was simply told, repeatedly, “we’ll send some up,” with no attempt to clarify whether this was a policy, a temporary issue, or an oversight. The interaction felt scripted rather than responsive, with no inquiry, engagement, or sense of give and take. It was disheartening. While the room was clean and the location is excellent, this experience reflects a broader pattern I am increasingly noticing when travelling across the US. Based on this stay, Hilton no longer feels consistent with the standard I have come to expect from the brand over many years.

Stayed in NYC for a weekend (12/19 - 12/23/2025) and chose this hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated but for the price, it was way worth it. What we enjoyed about the hotel was its location, price point, staff, and noise level. Staff was always asking if we needed water, directions, or recommendations when they saw us. We did not have any issues with street noise or random partygoers. The hotel is close enough to walk to the busy areas (15-20min to Times Square) yet far enough to not be in the middle of the NYC Christmas madness. Rooftop bar was a plus, nice atmosphere and great for parents to escape for a cocktail while the kids stayed in the room. All in all, very satisfied with our stay.

If you want a party stay here. If you want to bring a family here forget about it. Live rock music until 1 am. You will be able to make a set list not joking with loud crowd as well. Unbelievable that management knows this and does not inform staff or guests. Maybe I should have not stayed when the first thing I smelled in the lobby at check in was drugs and lysol combined. If you want any Hilton hotel services good luck. You have to get your own room service. Towels are old and dingy. Stains on bed linens. Lighting does not work. Heating air unit works ok in one room and the adjoining unit its on a loud cycle. View is of equipment on a roof line. Stay anywhere even in times Square

Not exactly sure what about this hotel is 4 star experience. Maybe someone can explain it to me. The rooms are small and the beds are honestly uncomfortable with the mattresses being kindve hard…… if my bed at home is more comfy than a 4 star hotel…… we got issues. They do have a nice rooftop bar that’s open for a couple of hours at nights but I don’t think that’s really a reason to stay at this hotel. Overall an alright hotel in the best city on earth.
Dec 23, 2025 -
The hotel is convemient to Penn Station and obviously the fashion district. The room was a bit small, but I've been in much smaller in NYC. Check-in and out was easy, and the staff was friendly. The absolute highlight, though is the shower. If you're a "Seinfeld" fan, you'll appreciate the rooms (at least mine) are equipped with the amazing "Commando 450," typically reserved to wash elephants in the circus. That blast was appreciated both in the morning and at night after 20,000+ steps in the Big Apple!

Shocking, Disrespectful, and Possibly Discriminatory Treatment – Absolutely Not a Hilton Experience My stay at Hilton New York Fashion District was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and it was deeply disappointing and upsetting. From the moment we arrived, the lack of professionalism was obvious. There was no staff available to assist with luggage, which is unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be a 4-star property under the Hilton brand. The behavior of the front desk employee was particularly troubling. She was cold, rude, and dismissive toward us. What made this situation extremely uncomfortable was the clear difference in how we were treated compared to other guests standing nearby. Those guests were greeted warmly and even offered drinking water, while we received none of that courtesy. This behavior made me feel singled out and unfairly treated, and I could not help but feel that the treatment may have been discriminatory in nature. The room itself did not meet even basic expectations. It was missing essential amenities such as toothbrushes and bathroom slippers — items that should be standard in any hotel of this category. The final and most unacceptable experience happened at check-out. I asked for assistance with my luggage and was flatly refused, with the explanation that no staff are available before 7 a.m. This excuse is completely unreasonable and unacceptable for a Hilton hotel. This property does not deserve a 4-star rating, nor does it reflect the standards of the Hilton brand. Frankly, I believe I would have received better service at a one-star hotel or even a roadside motel. I strongly urge Hilton corporate management to investigate this property, particularly the front desk staff and their conduct toward guests. No guest should ever feel uncomfortable, disrespected, or potentially discriminated against in a hotel carrying the Hilton name. This was a humiliating and frustrating experience, it will never be repeated, and I strongly warn others to avoid staying at this hotel.
Dec 18, 2025 -
This hotel is far below Hilton standards. From the moment we arrived, the experience was extremely disappointing. The receptionist was rude and impolite to us, while being noticeably kind to other guests—she even offered them bottled water, which we were not offered at all. This made us feel uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about discriminatory treatment. There was no assistance with luggage whatsoever. We had multiple bags, yet no staff offered help. We had to find a cart ourselves and transfer all the luggage on our own, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this brand. Room service was equally poor—no one answered the phone, and there was no drinking water provided in the room. Overall, the service was extremely lacking and unprofessional. This experience does not reflect the quality, hospitality, or service expected from Hilton. I would not recommend this hotel and will think twice before staying here again.

It was absolutely wonderful!! Check in was smooth and quick! I don't know if this is a new hotel or a recently renovated one, either way the room decor was excellent and well thought out!! And the shower was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! It was exactly what I needed after a long work day!! I didn't want to get out! Thank you for an amazing experience!!! I look forward to coming back and experiencing more that the hotel offers!!

This location was great! The rooms are small but I expected it for New York city. My first impression wasn't the best, the front desk rep took 5 minutes before she spoke. The roof top restaurant was nice, Barrett was super sweet and took great care of us.

NYC hotel rooms are small so I’m always pleasantly surprised when they make good use of the space. The room was clean and well decorated. The staff was friendly and the rooftop bar is fantastic. The location is very walkable to the subway and many attractions/ shopping.
Nov 19, 2025 -
Had a fantastic stay this past weekend! Staff was super helpful, rooms were clean and guests were friendly. We opted for a higher floor for the view. Rooftop bar was beautiful and cozy during the day, didn’t get a peek of it at night but I imagine it’s wonderful.

My daughter and I come to NYC every year around this time for a few shows and that classic New York around Christmastime experience. This year, we brought the men with us so we needed two rooms. We usually stay up in mid-town but when I saw the price for this Hilton location, we decided to stay a bit further south than usual. From the second we arrived, we had a fantastic experience here. We arrived very early expecting to put our luggage into storage but no! Our front desk agent found us two rooms that were ready (at 9am!!) and we were on our way to explore the city!! The rooms were lovely. The water pressure in the showers was excellent. We honestly didn’t feel like we were much further away than normal. A few extra blocks to Macy’s was all. We had drinks at the rooftop bar and that was also extremely nice. The decorations up there are impeccable! This may be our new go-to place to stay in Manhattan. I just can’t say enough good things about this hotel. And that you ti that first guest agent when we checked in. She really set the tone in an extremely positive way for our entire stay. As a gold member, I am so very pleased!!!

I had a good experience at this hotel. Room was big for New York standards and had all the comfort we needed. Service was good and they helped us with everything. Location is amazing and I love the Chelsea/Fashion District area. Negative note: I paid for a city view and they consider the building in front of the window as “city view”.
Nov 13, 2025 -
Excellent location. Best hotel rooftop bar I have been to in the city. The rooms were spacious by NY standards and included a mini fridge, keurig machine, iron and ironing board.
Nov 05, 2025 -
Very good hotel location. It is away from the main time square area but very walkable. It is also very close to Penn station which means if you have luggage is it a walkable distance to the hotel. Front desk was very helpful in recommendation of places to eat and how to travel to locations. Hotel was clean and organized , had water refill station and gave free water upon check in. Rooms were well sized and clean

For location, this hotel is unbeatable. The restaurants, people, vibes, subway stops, museums, bars in this area are so great. Our room was really comfortable and felt like home after just a couple days. The staff were really helpful and kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making my first ever trip to NYC really special.
Oct 08, 2025 -
We had such a great stay at this hotel! Honestly, I couldn’t be happier that we chose it. Perfect location with everything nearby, great price, and super friendly staff. They even gave us our room way earlier than check-in time without us asking, which was such a nice surprise. The price, quality, and location all make it the best choice — I would definitely stay here again!
Sep 30, 2025 -
The room wasn't very clean, there was human hair especially in the showers. Also the way that the shower was configured didn't make sense. Because of where the faucet was, I had to completely enter the shower to turn the water on, so of course it would be freezing cold as soon as it turned on. The faucet should be reachable from outside the shower. The hotel was very conveniently located. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance.
Sep 29, 2025 -
Stayed on 8/13/25. Was allowed an early check in and was greeted with 2 chilled bottles of water. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Roof top bar accepted our food and drink credits with no problem. Location was fantastic with easy access to the subway. The staff was highly professional. Only thing I would change is having a room service menu readily available.
