We had the BEST experience at this hotel for the last week celebrating my mom’s birthday. The staff was so so kind, from the bellman, to the door man, to the mini bar lady, to the managers. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel welcome! A huge snow storm rolled in and cancelled our flights leaving us stranded. The manager was so kind and worked with us to extend our rooms through the storm. The rooms themselves were stunning and we were so grateful to have a suite style room due to the storm. Our room was also very quiet! I cannot wait to come back, our experience way truly top notch!

I cannot stay in a hotel that does not let me have climate control. They advertise that they have air-conditioning, but it’s not offered in the winter. That would make sense except our room was heated to 80°upon arrival. When we tried to lower the thermostat down to 60, it couldn’t get the temperature to decrease. After turning off the thermostat, it still wouldn’t decrease. We opened up the wind the windows to let the 0° air in. After four hours it only got down to 73°. We had to listen to all of the traffic horns and sirens all night long. It was very uncomfortable. The is beautiful hotel and the staff are fantastic.

I can't say enough great things about my stay here! Check in was early and easy! I had a couple of simple requests and both were done before I arrived! The housekeeping was daily as was turn down with a cute chocolate on the nite stand ? The toiletries that came with the room smelled amazing and didn't dry my skin out...the bathroom vanity was a perfect spot to get ready for the day and freshen up in the evening. Also tried the restaurant onsite, Dabble...drinks and sliders were a great way to end the night ...I will definitely return!

An excellent stay from start to finish. Service was consistently fast and friendly, the room was spotless, and turndown service truly made it feel like a home away from home. The location is ideal, just a short walk to Times Square, yet the hotel remains quiet and comfortable at night. Subway access is also conveniently close for traveling throughout the city. When our flight was canceled due to weather, the hotel was extremely accommodating and made extending our stay seamless. Room service was prompt and delicious. Overall, a wonderful experience and a hotel I would highly recommend.

Somewhat shocked at the number of 1 star reviews here! I'm a titanium for life member so obviously I try and stay at Marriott run properties when I can. Brought my wife and two teenage daughters to NYC to see some shows, dine and experience NYE in NYC. I couldn't have been more impressed with the staff; everybody from the bellman, front desk staff, bartenders, and wait staff (hostess was a little rude). We didn't get room service one of the days but life goes on. Location is EXCELLENT and the rooms fresh and clean.

Extremely disappointing experience. I came to New York for Christmas with high expectations. On the first day, I asked the front desk about a room upgrade, and they said it would be possible the next day. The next afternoon, I was told it would likely be available in about an hour and asked to pack all my belongings, with the assurance staff would move everything. When I returned at 7:30 p.m., I was told the upgrade was no longer possible, and the hotel forced me to pay an additional $35 per night as a destination . Late at night, I requested an extra blanket and called several times with no answer, so I had to go downstairs myself. It took over 30 minutes to finally get it. For such an expensive five-star hotel, this service is completely unacceptable. No wonder so many people complain about the terrible service

Our experience at The Luxury Collection Hotel in NYC was exceptional from beginning to end. Everything was flawless , the service, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail truly reflected luxury at its finest. A special thank you to Randy Cabral, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Randy’s professionalism, warmth, and dedication made us feel genuinely cared for, and every request was handled seamlessly. He is a true asset to the hotel and elevated an already outstanding experience. We cannot recommend this hotel and Randy , highly enough

Amazing hotel in a very convenient location with great facilities, beautiful rooms and amazing staff. Everyone was helpful and friendly and they all seemed to take pride in their work. The in-room amenities (Byredo) were also very high quality and made the stay even more pleasant! It was a pleasure to stay here and I would recommend it to anyone.

I am just shocked at how good it was. Beautiful hotel, fair price, impeccable service. I’m a Bonvoy enthusiast, had the chance to stay at the most beautiful hotel of the chain. This hotel, with the location and the beautiful rooms is a must stay at. I’m there as of right now, and already booked another stay for Christmas Eve. I can’t wait! Update: We came down for Christmas ? and it was even better! Nikki at the front desk was amazing! We even extended our stay to say how good it was! I really recommend this hotel it’s the best in NYC!

I was skeptical of this hotel at first because of the 3.8 stars on Google however I noticed most of the comments were nitpicky. This hotel is AWESOME!! The rooms were very spacious with a living room to hang-out and the bathroom was definitely luxurious. Coffee service in the morning was a surprise and you cannot beat the location of this hotel. The staff were trained like a Ritz-Carlton to where they always greeted you and said something nice as they passed you. The hotel is an easy walk to 5th Ave, Times Square, Central Park, and the Broadway shows. Also, it did not have near the noise level as hotels in that area. I will definitely stay here again when I return to NYC.

Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived until our departure, every detail reflected excellence, professionalism, and genuine care. Luz at the front desk set the tone with a warm and seamless check-in. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed, providing thoughtful recommendations and making us feel truly valued as guests. Even able to check us in early. Housekeeping was impeccable—our room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and always refreshed with great attention to detail. Chris deserves special recognition for his consistency and pride in his work at the entrance. He delivered outstanding service with kindness, attentiveness, and a true passion for hospitality. Every interaction felt personal and sincere. What truly makes the hotel exceptional is the people and location to everything. Each staff member we encountered was professional, friendly, and eager to help, creating an atmosphere of comfort and luxury throughout our stay. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a true 5-star stay.

Positive: Early check in Negative: No fridge in room for breastmilk. Front desk was helpful in locating a fridge/freezer in kitchen but bell men often seemed peeved to have to walk far to kitchen to bring cooler. Depending on the shift, they’re either happy to assist or rolling eyes.
Dec 14, 2025 -
The hotel is in a very convenient location. The gym is very nice compared to most hotels, the bathrooms in the room are very nice too, and the service was good. I've stayed there a couple times in their king suites. The second time I got a king suite that had no table or desk to work at. Couldn't believe it. Insane to pay $800-1000/night and not have a desk or table. I will avoid staying there for this reason in the future.

We visited The Luxury Collection Hotel Manhattan Midtown last April. We stayed in a one‑bedroom king suite. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had all modern amenities. It is in a very central location, which makes it easy to reach most points of interest in Manhattan, and it was right next to a subway station. The staff were extremely polite and made our stay even more comfortable. We definitely recommend it.

I stayed at the Midtown Luxury Collection property for a weekend to see family and was very impressed with the experience. Despite the busy season in NY, the front desk team was efficient and welcoming, and the housekeeping staff was also very caring and provided excellent housekeeping service. Overall, it was a short but very comfortable stay. Next time I visit New York, I will definitely return. Highly recommended.

This Hotel is the best in New York trust me! The room was massive and the restaurant they had called dabble was amizing. And there’s a man called Mike working there and he was the goat and so nice. 5 stars (My kids, ages 10, 11, and 12, wrote the review above. They really loved Mark and still talk about him — and about Dabble’s mac and cheese. We adults agree with everything they wrote. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much! — Elin)

I loved the location of this hotel, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our suite was delightful and well priced for this area. Free coffee in the morning was unexpected and appreciated. Overall a lovely stay and will definitely return!

Great location- amazing view on the sunrise and Central Park ; pleasant staff. Spacious suite, the couch wasn’t a sleeper sofa- bummer; Could use a few improvements- the bidet was cold water only, some hotels have the seats with healing. The elevators were too fast and provided some annoyance to everyone around; Out doors in the room were not properly aligned and couldn’t close completely… But i am learning 4 starts overall for the location, compatible prices and pleasant stuff

I visited The Luxury Hotel Collection for a tour, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Our group was greeted warmly, and the staff made us feel comfortable right away. A special thank-you to Said, the Assistant Director of Front Office, who guided us with professionalism and kindness. He explained everything clearly, answered our questions, and helped make the tour genuinely enjoyable. The staff’s dedication and hospitality stood out, and I left with a great impression of how much care goes into creating a luxury stay. I would highly recommend visiting or staying here based on the wonderful service we received.

Me and my family stayed at the Luxury Collection Midtown Manhattan on the night of 11/21/2025. We received horrible experience, or possibly discrimination from a receptionist named Sherry when we returned from our dinner shortly after 11 p.m. When we re-entered the lobby, Sherry was on her phone and did not greet us or acknowledge us. My husband approached the front desk to request assistance with setting up the sofa bed, as previously instructed. From the beginning, Sherry appeared disengaged and uninterested in helping, which was noticeable. When my husband politely asked if we could also have an additional blanket since we are a family of four, her response — as I recall — was, “You already have one set in your room. Why do you need another one?” This response felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially considering it was a simple, reasonable request. Front desk staff are typically trained to assist guests and help ensure a comfortable stay, so we were surprised by her tone and reluctance. My husband calmly explained that we have two children. Sherry responded with an impatient and condescending tone, saying something along the lines of, “The staff setting up the bed will bring everything. You don’t need anything more than that, right?” This tone would be inappropriate in any setting, and certainly not acceptable from a hotel representative speaking to guests. At that point, I was beyond my tolerance and stepped in. I told her that we simply needed enough bedding for four people. Sherry immediately raised both hands and said, “Hold on,” in a way that clearly expressed she did not want to continue the conversation. It felt dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. She went on "I'm just asking" and of course, I was just answering. The exchange escalated due to her manner of communication, and Sherry eventually walked away without acknowledging or resolving the situation. The manager, Mark, then stepped in. He apologized for the experience and provided the contact email for filing a report. He also informed us that we would receive follow-up after 10 a.m. the next day. As of 11/23 at 6 p.m., we have not received any update. We came with the intention of enjoying a relaxing getaway, so we were truly shocked by the passive-aggressive behavior, impatience, and lack of hospitality shown to us—especially when we were only requesting basic bedding needed for our family. We do not understand why our perfectly reasonable request was met with resistance and dismissiveness. After the incident, I reviewed the hotel’s feedback online and noticed comments praising Sherry for being helpful, friendly, and attentive. This was completely opposite of what we experienced. We have reasonable doubt that we were treated unequally by her, or discriminated, for unknown reason. We were also disappointed that the manager witnessed a portion of the interaction yet did not intervene earlier to ensure guests were treated respectfully. If Sherry was having an off moment, the situation could have been handled more professionally. If this type of interaction is considered acceptable, it raises broader concerns about the hotel’s customer service standards. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that doesn't want to be treated unfairly.

My HMGT 1105 class went on a hotel tour to this hotel, and it was an amazing experience. All the locations, rooms, and lessons we saw and heard were truly inspiring. This has made me realize why I chose to be part of this industry, so that I can help people feel welcome and want to come back. Thank you so much, Luxury Collection Hotel, for sharing your experiences with us.

Nice space. I booked and got a suite so the room was quite spacious. My experience was good overall. Room: Nice, there are signs of age. But overall was comfortable and spacious for NYC. Nice bath amenities and the walk in closet was a plus! Service: I wasn't impressed at check in. However, all other requests were met timely (e.g. extra bath amenities). Location: EXCELLENT. Recommendation: elevators can take some time. Make sure you select the right side of the elevators for your floors. I would definitely come back again.

I’ve stayed here a few times. The hotel has nice looking spacious rooms. This time though, my friend found bed bugs in her room when she arrived after midnight. She reached out to the front desk but they were unresponsive. She had to sleep in a room for the night that was infested with them. It ruined her trip so she packed up and left the next day. Luckily our rooms weren’t near each other (she was on floor 35 in the other tower) and mine was fine after inspecting. I just couldn’t believe the staff was unresponsive, unapologetic , and didn’t offer to switch her room (when there were definitely other room available). She took pics to this is legit. I’ll let her post them in her review.. disappointed in Marriott to the fullest right now.

The hotel from the outside looked nice, aesthetically pleasing interiors, stuff like that. When I went to check in, the staff were a little rude especially the luggage men as they were complaining about us wanting a room change. Anyway, we finally checked in and we were met with another surprise, on the photos you could see Central Park without obstructed views, when we got here, it was an obstructed view and was told by the manager that the photos online were only for marketing. I believe this is very misleading as I paid a significant amount for this room only for it to be like this. Also, when you book a room online, they do not reserve a room for you and it only depends on availability, just thought I’d add that in there. Their complimentary water tasted funny, like it was sitting in the container for too long kind of funny, it wasn’t only one it was all of the ones they gave us. Breakfast isn’t a buffet, rather a restaurant with about 10 American style breakfast options. Which took me by surprise as I thought we’d be served a buffet like most other hotels. On the plus side, location is a strong factor for this hotel as it is walking distance to most tourist attractions. Personally, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again, there are plenty better hotels in New York.

I read several of the reviews and was pleasantly surprised with our stay. Overall I thought this was a lovely hotel with spacious comfortable rooms (we did have an upgraded suite, very curious to see the regular suite rooms). Service was friendly, although no one explained the hotel amenities or the destination charge. Large welcoming lobby and 8 elevators, 4 per half of the floors. We didn’t wait too long for the elevator. The rooms are on the older side but very comfortable and well appointed. The mini bar was completely stocked including several types of glasses. The bathroom was on the smaller side based on the size of the room, but the shower was large and updated. If you were to stay here for an extended stay you would not feel crowded. Very large closet area. Overall I really enjoyed this hotel and would return. The value here is exponentially greater than the Le Meridian, which is a few blocks away. The prices are somewhat comparable but this hotel is far superior in every aspect.

Now here is a hotel that has great potential but that is very badly managed for a Marriot Luxury Collection from front desk to the restaurant. Staff at check in have too much of an attitude problem and are not warm or welcoming. The restaurant was overwhelmed and Rhia the F&B on duty was totally surpassed by the incompetence of the service from the kitchen to the floor….@executive chef Merry, this is not acceptable on such a property. I am a platinum member and value service but this was a major disappointment, especially in New York. I travel for my business and as a loyal member of Marriot Bonvoy, I must say that I will not return to this property.

Picked the location bc it’s midtown and close to central park. Room was ok, older but renovated. Nice wood floor and bedding. Very loud AC. Shower is nice, especially the water pressure is great for New York high tower. Toilet broke on day 2 but fixed quickly. Worst is the elevators for high floors, always had to wait a looong time go up or down, seems 2 out of 3 elevators were broken.

Stayed at the Luxury Collection Hotel in October 2025 as part of a Anniversary celebration vacation. Booked a standard one bedroom suite (The hotel is mostly suites) as a Platinum status Marriott member, used my NUAs to upgrade to a high floor Central Park view suite. The view was worth it. The hotel was pretty busy during our stay because of a Wedding Gown event going on at the hotel. But the event did not cause any issues. The concierge and bell staff was solid and professional. The suite we stayed in was roomy, comfortable and had solid amenities, of particular note the shower was very good with great water pressure and proper doors! The hotel still has some leftover artifacts from when the hotel was a Hilton Conrad, (Logos on the phones and some other spaces). The staff was good on check-in and check-out recognizing my status level with Marriott and utilizing my upgrades for the improved room.

I’m a former New Yorker and this is my go-to-hotel whenever I visit the City. Perfect location near Central Park as well as tons of great restaurants and sites. The rooms are incredible, and worth splurging for upgrades (best use of Marriott’s Nightly Upgrade Awards if you’re a member). Best part is the staff - impeccable. Jimmy at the front desk greets my family and I by name every time, even though he sees hundreds if not thousands of people a day. Angel at the front desk is also a gem - I remember his kind words to me when I met him 8 years ago (before this was a Marriott property). If you’re going to splurge on NYC, do so right here. They promise luxury, and more than deliver.

My recent stay at the Luxury Collection Hotel in Manhattan was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. The reception staff, especially Sherry, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She was incredibly helpful, always wearing a smile, and eager to assist us with anything we needed. Her dedication to ensuring our happiness truly stood out. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and offers a luxurious ambiance. It’s perfect for both families and couples looking for a memorable getaway. One of the best features is its prime location—just a few minutes' walk from Times Square, which is a huge plus for exploring the city. I highly recommend the Luxury Collection Hotel for anyone visiting New York. You won't be disappointed.
