Squeezed in some time after voting today and entered this cool audio store I’ve been meaning to visit. The owner, Dennis gave me a tour and profound audio education. He’s a solid guy- no B.S. He’s genuinely super nice and extremely knowledgeable. I put a deposit down for speakers and will return next week to finalize my amp. Thank you Dennis, I’m on cloud nine that I finally made my visit to Park Avenue Audio.

Park Avenue Audio is one of those rare places where passion and professionalism come together. I was helped by Dennis, who was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through different setups without any pressure. Every demo room is beautifully arranged, and the sound quality is truly on another level. I’ll definitely be coming back for another stereo system.

Dennis is a tremendous guy who is very trustworthy, patient, helpful, knowledgeable, low pressure, and caring. He knows the needs of client and does his best to satisfy them. He builds brilliant systems and also works around the budget. He has a lot of good stories to tell and is a very nice person to talk to and be friend with. The Park Avenue Audio has almost everything, with extraordinary listening rooms and great client services like storage. Highly recommended!!

Great customer service, great customer service, I wrote it twice on purpose. Terrific Industry and product knowledgeable. They will meet your needs and exceed your desires, but will not oversell. I have been a customer for 20+ years and always go back for all the reasons above but most of all the customer service and care.

I recently spent several hours across various trips to Park Avenue Audio, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience and outcome. The selection of high-end audio equipment is impressive, but what really stood out was the knowledgeable and enthusiastic service I received. The salesperson, Andrew, was incredibly helpful. He took the time to listen to my requirements and make recommendations that were suited to my needs and budget, without ever pushing me to buy more than necessary. His expertise and patient approach made the entire process a smooth and a fun journey. Even after my purchase, he has been quick to answer my questions. I’ve ended up with a McIntosh amp (MA12000), Dali speakers (Epikore 7), a Bluesound streamer (Node), plus cabling and installation. The system sounds great, and I’ve also been introduced to a bunch of new artists to listen to. If you’re in the market for high-quality audio equipment, I highly recommend visiting Park Avenue Audio and speaking to Andrew. It’s a great place for those who value both expertise and good service. The store itself has multiple (4 I think) listening rooms on top of the main shop floor. Each one is designed with New York apartments in mind, recognising that most people do not live in perfectly sound treated rooms (i.e. lots of glass, metal, and other reflective surfaces!). The whole team at Park Avenue Audio made the experience feel personal and professional, and I’d recommend them to all. Ask for Andrew and he’ll take great care of you and all of your HiFi audio needs!

I went in looking to get some good advice and to purchase a new amplifier and met Andrew . Andrew was a super salesman in only the best way. He was honest and straightforward. He listened to the components of my system and what I was looking to do and made his recommendations. He didn’t try to oversell me and I purchased the Hegel H400. it was delivered and installed as promised, and Andrew didn’t abandon me after the sale he remains available to answer questions as they arise. Very happy with my purchase, knowing that as it breaks in it’ll sound better and better. And with the knowledge that if I have an issue or a problem, Andrew will be there to help me out.

The best high end audio store in NYC. Dennis and Andrew have the knowledge and experience of the industry that is hard to find. They worked within my budget and I now have an amazing McIntosh and B&W system. They have all the top brands and demo all of them in 3 different rooms. I cannot thank you enough.

This was my first time shopping at Park Avenue Audio and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I touched based with Andrew on the phone, he was nothing but informative and accommodating. I bought a Rega turntable after following his counsel and upgrading from my original price point, but after setting it up and excitedly putting on the inaugural record, turned out that the stylus was bent. Andrew had my back on this, going back and forth with the manufacturer to have it replaced. In the meantime, one of his colleagues came to my place to install a "loaner" cartridge so I could still enjoy the turntable. He just informed me that his efforts to replace the cartridge were successful so a big thanks and kudos to Andrew, Park Avenue Audio, and Rega. It's a cool piece of equipment, can't wait to dive in with the new cartridge, again to be installed on a house call. This kind of service and product will keep me coming back!

Andrew was welcoming, helpful, and funny when I visited his store yesterday. I went in seeking advice about a new system I am building and he advised me to go with the products I had already researched, which he does not sell. I appreciated his graciousness and desire to help and left with renewed confidence in my decisions.

Couldn’t speak more highly of this place. Went in on a whim walking by one day after work and ended up spending 2+ hours talking to the owner (Dennis) and the nicest woman who worked there (I’m horrible with names, I’m sorry I’ll remember next time)! More specifically, it’s near impossible to walk in any store and not, at the very least, feel as though you’re only a number on someone’s sales quota, let alone a store in NYC, and even further, one that is so high end. Cannot emphasize enough that this is NOT AT ALL how Park Avenue Audio operates. Literally the antithesis of pushy salesman. Everyone I interacted with focused solely on customer experience. Everyone is highly educated in everything audio and available for any questions and conversation related to, but even better (and unfortunately UNHEARD of) is that they care about you as a person no matter who you are. Obviously, as a reader you could be thinking “so what I don’t need that when I’m shopping for something”. True, maybe not, but of the 59393 questions I’d think to offer in response here’s 1 - would it ever be something you’d wish WASN’T the case, if offered? OPPOSITE of condescending and snooty as well. I could’ve been wearing anything and looking like anything, I would be treated the same way. I’m a 36 year old nobody and it didn’t matter. Go in. Look around. Most importantly - ENJOY. I will be recommending to anyone and everyone I can and will CERTAINLY be returning.

I would highly recommend Park Avenue Audio to anyone looking to take the next step in their "Sonic Journey." "Sonic Journey" is Andrew's term (make sure you ask for him!) and it perfectly describes the process he will guide you through. As you will learn from Andrew, there is no "best" or "worst" option for audio components, instead there is a highly personalized selection process that must take into account individual considerations around music preference, aesthetics, room configuration, cost and, most importantly, what sounds amazing to you! Andrew makes this process enjoyable, is respectful of your budget and is generally a fun guy with whom you will enjoy auditioning various options while enjoying your favorite (and some of his favorite) tunes. It’s my second time around at Park Ave Audio and wouldn’t go elswhere. Andrew, who is not just extremely knowledgeable about hi fidelity equipment, he learns what’s important to you and how and what you like to listen to. He works within your budget and looks to compliment any existing equipment that you already have. He’s helped me make decisions that have enabled me to have the sound quality I didn’t think was possible in my own home! Highly recommend.

Andrew was very helpful and helped me work through various options for speakers and an amp after my first choice (the KEF Blade) wouldn't work in my living room. He didn't try to force anything but exposed me to some brands I didn't know about before (though I ended up getting different KEFs in the end). He is very responsive on email. They delivered everything quickly with setup assistance (very helpful with large speakers). I'd definitely buy from Park Ave again.

First off, what an awesome store. Hifi shops aren’t as common anymore. Really high end gear, impressive for any enthusiast. Secondly, Andrew is incredible. Clearly very knowledgeable, but also honest- I was looking for a preamp but after hearing about my system setup, he convinced me that it wasn’t the best use of my money and that I should put it towards better gear later on. He didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need and gave me valuable advice for when I evolve my set up in the future. Highly recommended!

I have owned McIntosh equipment for many years, but the service I received when contemplating upgrading my system was very impressive. The staff was courteous and informed. I was guided through the selection process with my requirements and needs in mind. I could confidently rely on the technical expertise received. There was no effort to sell me more than I wanted or needed. The entire staff went out of their way to ensure prompt delivery and installation.

My experience at Park Ave Audio was all expertise and class with absolutely zero pretense. Andrew was awesome to work with: knowledgeable about everything hi-fi, incredibly passionate, shared his time and experience, and really tried to educate and partner with me to give me the best audio experience possible. May 2021, I walked into Park Avenue Audio’s showroom to ask about setting up 2-channel stereo system with almost zero audiophile domain knowledge. And luckily, Andrew was there to help me out! He was so kind to have an almost 1-hour long discussion on my first visit! He explained to me how the system works, even without asking my budget! In following conversations, he helped me very patiently to select streamer/DAC/cables and speakers that fulfill my requirements! Each time I had questions on something, he always gave me detailed answers! So I ended up placing the digital system order with Andrew! And this summer I want to step into the analogue world so I started the convo with Andrew again asking his advice! Then he shared tons of new knowledge with me and gave suggestions on which device should I go with. Now the setup is like shown in the picture. I want to thank Andrew on his professional and passionate altitude, I can’t get this wonderful setup done without his help!

Andrew at Park Avenue Audio is the best. His quick reply to an email inquiry set the tone and he made the entire process smooth and seamless - from my in person consultation to installation. I had very specific requests and he nailed every one of them. The goal for my system was to have separation and clarity of sound at low volume and Andrew delivered for me within my budget. I am so glad I walked into Park Avenue Audio. Working with Andrew was a dream. I was on track to end up buying a system I liked just fine, and instead he helped me find one that I LOVE and want to hold onto forever. He took the time to really understand me as a listener, get a sense of the room I was putting speakers in, and what I'm looking for speakers to be in my life. He generously used his encyclopedic knowledge and life of experience to educate me on the things I'd need to know about to make a decision, and then he bent over backwards to make sure I got the speakers and amp quickly (amazingly, in just 1 week). He worked hard to give me a great experience -- he was in close touch, quickly answering all of my dumb questions without making me feel dumb, and even met me at the door with my speakers when I needed to make a quick pickup on a tight timeline. Great experience all around.

Buying my home theater audio equipment and front speakers from Andrew at Park Avenue Audio was a great experience. I was looking for audiophile quality front channel left and right floor standing speakers for my home theater and also get a new AV processor amp that I could use for home theatre as well as music listening in stereo mode. I had heard the b&w 702s2 at Best Buy Magnolia paired with rotel as well as marantz amps, but when I heard the 702 signatures paired with McIntosh stereo amp at Park Avenue Audio, I was mighty impressed. I discussed my requirements and budget with Andrew and he was able to get me an unparalleled deal on a new pair of b&w 702 signatures and also recommended that I get the McIntosh separates to get full potential from these new speakers. I first ordered a new McIntosh mx100 av processor plus their new digital amp mi347 but very quickly switched to a McIntosh solid state 7 channel amp mc8207 upon Andrew’s reco, which I am glad I did! The first MX100 av processor I received had an equipment issue when I tried to setup at home. Andrew worked with me to get me a warranty replacement from McIntosh within a couple of days. The entire process was extremely smooth and he did his best to get all of the equipment within the timeframe he had told me upfront given there have been long backlogs for McIntosh equipment. Throughout the process, Andrew was factual, helpful and provided honest opinion without being pushy. He also recommended excellent quality cardas interconnects and speaker cables that complement the system very well. I am very happy with the purchase and my overall experience with Andrew at Park Avenue audio. Highly recommend them for your next purchase. Apr 2022 Update: ————————— Recently, Andrew put me in touch with another client of his and helped me upgrade my old b&w htm6 center channel to B&W Diamond series HTM2 D3. It was a great recommendation that pairs extremely well with the b&w 702 signatures and the trade worked out well for me. Sound quality improvement is awesome! Andrew did that out of pure goodwill and no direct financial benefit to him…Another testament to Park Ave Audio’s (& Andrew’s) customer service!

I worked with Andrew at Park Ave Audio on putting together my dream soundsystem, and the dream has been achieved. Andrew guided me towards big Harbeths and a McIntosh integrated for an amp. Every time I turn it on, I appreciate that guidance. It sounds insane. It’s made it hard to leave my house. Andrew is also extremely responsive, extremely direct, and extremely New York City. He’s an old school throw back. A Gotham Institution. You’re gonna love him. If you’re taking the HiFi plunge, I highly recommend. UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2021 First off - Still love my HiFi system, it's awesome. Second off - I have to commend Park Ave and Andrew for phenomenal post-sale customer service. Last week I had a small issue with one of the components. I e-mailed Andrew and he was on it immediately. He called the manufacturer, figured out the problem, and sent his pro Rudolph over to fix it, all in less than a week. They've got the goods and the service. If you've been waiting to pull the trigger on your stereo upgrade, you gotta call Andrew.

Buying my audio equipment from Andrew at Park Avenue audio was an awesome experience. I didn't know much about what I was getting into, and Andrew took over an hour of his time to show me the ropes and extensively walk me through everything I needed to know about building my system. He immediately acknowledged that he generally sells more high-end and expensive products than what I was looking for, but still took his time to educate me and find the equipment that best fit my needs. Considering Andrew supplies some of the biggest audiophiles in the city, and routinely makes sales in the 5 and 6 figures, I was very impressed with the level of customer service and attention I received. He was extremely transparent about price points and how much money I should spend based on what I wanted, never tried to up sell me and even hooked me up with better prices than what I could find online! As an added bonus, he was super cool with my dog being in the store and told us to come visit anytime. Overall, this was an extremely pleasant and educational experience, and I'm glad I came in the store instead of trying to piece together my system using online reviews and online retailers.

This is a top-notch store with a variety of brands and products in the middle to high end of audio gear. I found them friendly and available. Andrew was super easy to work with and provided an even balance of advice and service. Although I did walk out spending a little more than I walked in expecting, I have no regrets. The upgrades he recommended were well thought-out and I never felt pressure to do something I wasn't comfortable with. Andrew is just as comfortable talking about $100k speakers as $500 speakers and really knows his stuff.
