Staff were welcoming but felt a little ignored once we started perusing the wares. This place has true vintage clothes as well as crazy stuff including costumes and S&M. Quirky location that adds to the vibe.

The staff were so sweet and really helpful! They encouraged me to try on anything even though I had a limited budget and their clothes were unique and in great condition. All of their items were real vintage and had a lot of really interesting costume pieces sprinkled in as well which made for a very fun experience.

Overall I enjoyed the store. There were many interesting vintage pieces in the shop to look at. Although, I did feel that it was a bit odd, that there were some halloween costume-type of clothing among some genuine Vintage clothing as well, which made it a bit difficult to sift through to find the good stuff. Also, I will say that the store is quite pricey, I would just like to reiterate that it is NOT a thrift store, so if you are looking for thrift store-like prices, this is definitely not it, this is a higher end vintage store even though, I myself felt like it was not at times when I would every once in awhile come across some cheaply made things in the racks as well. Still overall a good vibe and the associates were very welcoming.

Great mix of high quality items at this original vintage shop from the 70s. The staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. Cyndi Lauper used to work here ?For Burning Man, they love helping people get ready with fun fashion and accessories!

Screaming Mimi’s was such an epic experience for someone who has a hard time finding authentic and quality vintage & costumes. The staff there are SUPER cute and stylish. I loved hanging out with them in the store. Especially Anja ! Who delivered hand delivered something to me that I dropped in the store. Insane customer service.

I’ve been shopping here since I was a teenager & it still rocks. Was here today to get my engagement (!!!) party dress & they had exactly what I was looking for. The salespeople in here were amazing, helpful & super friendly. Major props to them for pulling literally immediately what I was looking for. If I could give this store 100/10 stars I would! Must visit.

Now my teen daughter and her friends go and shop couture pieces, and halloween costumes or just have fun! Always super nice, helpful , knowledgeable staff. Over the top Vintage Shop, organized racks, Over the decades pieces, vintage jeans, lingeries, eyewear, jewelry, couture pieces etc.

Excellent resource if you're looking for costumes for themed parties, Halloween, or any other themed occasion. They stock second hand and vintage theater costumes. For Europeans it's worth noting that most won't be older than a few decades at most, so this is NOT a place to find a, say, authentic flapper dress from the 20s. However, if you're having a 20's themed party, you will find plenty of lovely, reproduced, embroidered flapper dresses that have featured in stage plays or elsewhere. Prices range from 20is into the 200s for leather corsages or embroidered pieces. Definitely a good place for band or other stage costumes- they also have masks, wigs gloves, belts and kinky accessories. Staff are knowledgeable and very helpful, and costumes are organized in categories, f.e. "y2k", "20s", or the like.

My wife and I had a “Midsummer Nights Dream” themed party. They were incredibly helpful finding costume pieces for us. We tried 5 or 6 different ones and settled on a fun fairy and fairy king costume. Wish we could have bought all the costumes. Highly recommended shops with lots of variety and good service.

Had cute items but all of them were really low quality -missing buttons, torn threading, pulled threads, stains, and fake vintage. And it was all extremely overpriced. Could be a good place to go if you’re trying to make a costume though

Cute, but ridiculously overpriced "vintage" items that were worn who knows how many times. The fairy/dancer costumes all looked like items I wore in my dance recitals, yet they cost more than I paid 15 years ago. Same with several other items that I can easily find in a relatives closet that were priced far more than they are worth. If you are desperate and in a pinch, just be ready to fork over a good chunk of change.

This is my favorite store in the whole city. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and super helpful with any questions I’ve had. Everything from costumes to designer, screaming Mimi’s has it all! Definitely make a point to check it out for unique, one of a kind pieces. You won’t be disappointed! There’s something for everyone there and a wide range of prices.

Skip this. Used to be great. Pilgrim and Desert Vintage both on Orchard Street, New, mint deadstock, no Vintage store smells and great prices. Especially the unadvertised markdowns at Pilgrim on Orchard. Desert Vintage is beautiful but expensive.

The selection here is superb. The lady who helped me was so sweet and super helpful. Being in this store felt like I stepped out of 2021 and into the decades of glamour and class. This place is a GEM. Highly recommend you stopping by.

Fabulous staff who knows their inventory very well. No pointing to sections here, they show you what you’re actually looking for and shop with you, recommending other items on the way. Had an excellent shopping trip today and although many staff members helped me, Dannie was the one who inspired me to purchase. Exciting atmosphere, friendly staff, and an awesome selection of items. I wish I could give you guys 10 stars.

A go-to spot for costume or other-era clothing and accessories. The staff is so lovely and welcoming—will make you feel like a star.

I was looking to plan a “60s Mod” look for a theme costume party contest and needed some accessories. Unlike when I visited New York Vintage a few blocks north, the staff was super enthusiastic and helpful in helping me find what ended up being a perfect pair of earrings (pictured) which matched my dress. They were around $25, high quality for the era, and would wear again. It’s a nice cozy little shop and the ambiance makes you want to stay and poke around a while

Really lovely staff, and one or two very nice items, but most things here are unfortunately incredibly overpriced for their quality and condition.

When you ask for the price of a blouse and the seller told you 49$. After that you tried it on and said I take it, suddently they are not sure about the price so... it’s 65$. NOT NORMAL AT ALL. NOT PROFESSIONAL. 3 sellers on the shop, no one know the price. I said no, he told me 49$ so I won’t pay more and you said to me that I should go....... Guys, don’t go to that shop. They only care about money.

I don't know where to begin. I love this place for year round shopping as well as burning man prep. The selection is beautifully curated and I can't wait to go back.
