This is one of my favorite stores. They have very unique pieces at great prices and often will make me a deal. Anna is always so helpful and friendly

TEN STARS! I stopped in today and what a treat. The store is a wonderful, curated collection of vintage finds. And to the reviewers who noted that the prices please remember the PROFITS FROM THIS STORE GO TO RESEARCH so this is a place you shop for vintage treasures that you feel good about buying because RESEARCH MAKES THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. The staff are welcoming and have good advice (I was deciding between two sweaters). I looked up the prices and they items that I was looking at were right on par with eBay prices, but I must have been lucky, because there was a sale today so I did end up getting a really good value AND supporting research. Total win. THANK YOU!!

prices were crazy high, items weren’t high end either. saw a handheld mirror for $75, but the mirror was cracked and dirty. they do have a large variety of items

Whenever I need new furniture, Liz and Cure thrift is the first place I go - every time. Such a great team. Everyone is patient, kind and friendly. Can’t recommend them enough!
Feb 25, 2026 -
The prices here are abhorrent. My jaw actually dropped multiple times at prices listed. Having thrifted extensively in NYC, throughout the country and abroad, I have never seen prices like the ones at Cure, and the items do not have exceptional provenances or the quality to back it up. Please do not get ripped off!!
Feb 12, 2026 -
Incredible selection and curation, however the whole atmosphere is so off putting. No mirrors, a barrage of rules, the 1/2 off clothing sale applying to maybe 30% of the merchandise, and the shop attendants all look at you like you’re a criminal when the real crime is the prices they charge!
Jan 01, 2026 -
Worst customer service a girl gabby was being rude and was being very aggressive they don’t tell you that you can’t return stuff. They also started being sassy with me saying I dont have manners worst customers service ever never come here.

Visited on 11/15 around 6pm - the store is organized and has a good collection in good condition. While we were looking through clothes, a female employee in overall jean pants with dyed red hair came over out of nowhere, pointed at the coats we were wearing, and asked if they were ours I was baffled and she repeated the question loudly in the middle of the shop with no context or explanation, effectively implying we had stolen coats that were my personal belongings bought years ago. I was about to respond bit aggressively but my girlfriend stepped in and calmly said “yes” and the employee just walked away without any clarification “thank you” or apology. Although it was just for a few seconds, the whole interaction felt accusatory and disrespectful - something that basic customer service training would prevent. It’s disappointing to see older reviews complaining about a similar issue and nothing being addressed please train your staff to treat customers with respect, it's not that hard to act like an adult

So clean! Such friendly staff! Adorable/funky/weird finds in quality materials! Loved my whole experience shopping here and I'll definitely be back.

if you want to get price gouged, you should shop here. they're selling a pair USED Hondo boots for $350 but forgot to remove the price that shows they were only going for $39.99 from whichever other thrift store it came from first. Thats around a 895% mark up for a supposed "non-profit" organization. By the way, brand new Hondo boots only go for $290-$350. Edit in response to response: vintage hondos don’t go for $350. This pair appears to sell only for $82 online, and they some even go for as low as $15 online (see photos). And just cause it’s vintage that doesn’t mean it’s an excuse to mark it up almost 900%. Only vintage Lucchese boots sell for upwards of $350. This just further proves that whoever is in charge of curation simply just looks up generic terms online like “vintage cowboy boots” and decided to go for the most expensive one. Not a good look for yall.

Swanky and stylish thrift shop on the more expensive side (think $30-50 for some tees) with plenty of quirky, vintage threads and doohickies. It’s also a popular spot for finding charms. There was a sea of people sorting through tables of charms when I visited. The staff is friendly and helpful and it’s worth checking out for some of the oddball stuff you can find.
Aug 02, 2025 -
Cute date spot for charms and bracelets, but too pricey if you want to do some actual thrifting. Fine if you’re looking for expensive art pieces and vintage items.
Jul 27, 2025 -
This is one of my favorite spots to visit. When I don’t have any plans for the day, I come here. I like to browse in the shop and I can always find some real nice and not TOO overpriced. It’s a great shop!
Apr 04, 2025 -
This is an interesting collection of some cool but shockingly overpriced pieces of clothing, jewelry, housewares, and furniture labeled “thrift” even though in many cases they seem to be marked up past the original price. Used sneakers from 10 years ago can’t sell for $175…
Mar 29, 2025 -
My girlfriend and I had a pleasant experience making charm bracelets at this store. They have a wide variety of charms and other items, mostly clothes but also things like typewriters. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s a calm and enjoyable date idea.
Feb 19, 2025 -
CHEAP I went Tuesday (February 4) and it’s Saturday (February 8) and already the bracelet broke when putting it on my wrist. I don’t even know how it was attached but I cannot reattach it and. Now I just have a chain of charms that I am going to have to replace on my own. I’m not from New York so I cannot just come back to the store. The chains for the necklace are already rusting too and they were never near water or fragrances. Highly disappointed. I spent $20.00 on my jewelry making experience and the quality couldn’t last a week.

I was greeted by a sweet and welcoming employee. Upscale clothes and accessories are beautifully merchandised. Thrift shop benefits type 1 diabetes research.
Feb 08, 2025 -
Passing by today so we went in to look. Really a busy thrift shop. Lots of merchandise and very well laid out in several rooms. Today they were having a jewelry making event so was extra busy I think. Mostly clothing and accessories but also some furniture, decorative items as well as some large stuffed animals. We did not buy anything today but will definitely be back.

I know theft is really tough for many businesses and though I appreciate having security to protect what I do not think is effective is having rude cold employees that do not greet or speak to your customers and then follow them around as they shop. This was actually my first time in the store and it’s laid out beautifully so well organized and really beautiful. Then I started to notice there are no mirrors…anywhere. The employees stand and stare at the shoppers not saying hello or even breaking a smile: when I asked to try on a large bright pink wool cape I was told I needed to put my clear see through wallet size purse that is only big enough to hold my phone and house keys in a locker in order to try it on. No bag policy which includes purses and wallets. I also don’t feel They are size inclusive and the prices are very interesting for what they offer. This is the strangest and worst shopping experience I have had and not just in nyc but in life. Sadly they donate to charity and I would have loved to support but service is so important. I know it’s October but I think this spooky service happens all year round. Not a fan. Will not be back. 0:10 do not recommend.

Curated, cool, ripoff. I saw a vintage dank’s wooden bowl there priced for $800! I was certain I’d seen a similar one recently for less than $100. Googled it and sure enough, you can get it on poshmark for $65. Who sells a $65 bowl for $800??? Are they high? Everyone has Google and can cross check their prices. I’m baffled. That being said, a few super high end pieces were great and priced correctly, like a brutalist Richard Barr lamp (missing its pair) for $1500

Cure Thrift Shop is a vintage shop that is so well curated and merchandised that the high prices are somewhat forgivable. normally peruse through vintage Ts here bc they are unique and in decent condition. over the years, i have picked up several items here and have yet to be disappointed. the store is well-maintained, clean, brightly lit, and has a bit of character in the way merchandise is organized. all that said, the prices do bend to the higher ends of things BUT there are periodic sales so be patient. tchotchkes tend to be decently priced bc they are eclectic for those looking for interesting decor items. some of the staff are cool. others are meh. that’s the story of all retail. avoid the store on weekends as it can be a circus but the store is open relatively late for a thrift store which is a good time to swing through…a win for the nocturnal like me.

Absolutely a treasure trove of a gem in the East Village, a must on any thrift store list !! Recently, I moved into the neighborhood and stumbled upon this shop while on a walk; the windows spoke to me, so I proceeded in and was delighted to find the most incredible array of curated objects I've seen in ages: from mid-century furniture to vintage graphic tees, this place has it all. I am thrilled to have discovered this gem as I am currently outfitting my new apartment, and their furniture selection is next level--as is their customer service team. I was approached by this doll of a human, May, and she walked me through the store, showing me everything they currently had; we landed on a dresser that I do hope fit the space I have, and if it does, I'll be back to purchase. The best part of my time in the store and chatting with May and learning of the incredible work this business does for charity--bravo!

I used to love coming here, but ever since they moved locations, I feel like somethings missing. Very pricey. I do still come here for accessories and charms.
Aug 09, 2023 -
Beautiful selection that they have curated here! Antiques and clothes to thrift. Home goods and roller blades and charms. I will say the items were very nice but did seem to be priced pretty high and I personally wasn’t really willing to pay for anything that I wasn’t amazed with here. That being said, there were definitely unique and amazing pieces still.

Beautiful shop with a variety of selections of life style goodies, furnitures and vintage clothes. They were all well curated and very clean also in good condition. It’s a fun place to find hidden gem if you are interested in vintage stuff.

This thrift store was incredibly organized and a total delight to peruse through. I enjoy thrifting when I’m traveling, and this space was in close proximity to the apartment I was staying at. Prices were on the higher end, but reasonable for the history of the items. As a fellow T1D, it was great to see that the proceeds go to T1D research. Will definitely stop by next time I’m in the city. Updating to say that after following their IG account I scored a vintage denim skirt for half off and I love it! ❤️

i love thrifting! this store has so many great pieces! cool rings! amazingly perfect shoes - furniture - so many great pieces to choose from! even a wonderful 70s vibe mens section! friendly and helpful staff - super clean and tidy! highly recommend! the jewelry section was very organized! meticulous! which makes finding the perfect pieces - effortless :-)

Absolutely stunning store ! Very nicely laid out. It’s a truly a Fantastic curation of unique items however I left with nothing because the prices are simply to high for this local . Enjoyed looking around immensely .
Apr 16, 2022 -
Whoever curates this store has excellent taste. Unfortunately the prices are too high to make many of these pieces worth buying. Some of the clothing is affordable (definitely nothing under $10…this is not your typical thrift store, more of a vintage shop). The home decor and furniture is priced as if the items are rarer than they actually are… $800 paintings for example.
Apr 07, 2022 -
Lovely, LARGE selection and very organized but if you’re expecting thrift store prices, this thrift store is not for you. Be ready to spend a lot of money here. A lot of the things I saw were $45 and above.
