Beautiful stained glass and artwork in this church.

This is one of my sanctuaries and I hope to God, when people enter,they always come with respect.

I haven't had the pleasure to visit St. John the Baptist Church but I receive their mailings. So, I guess that makes me feel like I am part of the congregation. I pray the St. Padre Pio Novena every day. I just pulled up the site and see how beautiful the Church is. I will continue to pray my Novenas and send my prayers for them to be heard.

Is very antique this church but is wonderful and the church has history

We were visiting from out of town and attended the 9:30 Sunday Mass. The Church is beautiful and the congregation was welcoming. We also loved the Marian Shrine and the St. Padre Pio Shrine with 3 first class relics. The Mass was pretty traditional and the vocalist had a beautiful voice while leading the hymns and psalm. We were also bit disappointed in the Priest though. He processed in with a mask on but took it off when he was up at the altar and kept it off when he came back down to deliver his politically motivated sermon up close, walking back and forth in the aisle. He put it back on during Communion and actually refused to place it on our tongues and would only put it in our hands. So unreverent. If we were local, we'd probably go to one of the other more reverent clergy in one of the nearby Catholic Churches. A shame really, because otherwise we could be very happy here.

One of the best church I have ever been to Fr. Michael is a truly humble and dedicated servant of God. Despite limited help, he has faithfully continued to lead services, especially during weekdays and feast days, without complaint. The small group of volunteers currently supporting the church are also remarkable individuals. Overall, this church offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere to everyone, regardless of background

Very nice Franciscan church near Penn Station. Beautiful details, windows and paintings! If you want to see Saint Padre Pio, this is the place! They also have confessions during the week at good times too!

A great church for great homilies. The homily focuses on the bible passages in the context with which they were written, and the relevance in the present day.

Beautiful church, even worth a visit outside of religious reasons. We got to visit during a mass and donated money to light a candle for our dead. Touching experience.

Gorgeous church located in the heart of Manhattan, New York City, USA.,It is the perfect place to get away from all the commotion and spend a few moments with God. I am grateful to have visited this church 2 times. I came to this church to attend the Feast Day of Padre Pio and to see his relics. Always great solitude...I feel God's Love there every time I've visited. Happy Feast Day Padre Pio.

I come here cause of Padre Pio’s relics. If you’re a devotee, there’s a special novena mass every Monday, 630 pm :) Solemn place.

What a commendable display of inter-faith harmony. Friday (jumma) prayers take place here around 1:30 PM at St. John's Hall, in the church's basement.

A great place to hear a Mass. Less crowd than St Patrick’s. And the Capuchin Fathers are very welcoming too. The Shrine of Padre Pio in New York City is located here.

Lovely church. I came here for the first time during the celebration of the feast day of St. John the Baptist. I went inside and saw someone talking to a lady behind a window, which is where you can buy Catholic items (candles, rosaries, prayer cards, books, statues etc...) I went in to pray then asked someone for information about candles and was directed to a monk or brother who happened to be standing by. He was very polite, informative and soft-spoken. Actually, all of the people there were older and friendly. I learned that the church would be celebrating the feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Succor) and would have a procession on June 26th. The service was from 6:30pm to 8:15pm and refreshments were served afterward. This was a very nice service to attend and experience.

The architecture is beautiful and ornate but not too extravagant where it is distracting. You wouldn't expect to find such a peaceful place in the midst of all the madness. I highly recommend checking it out if you are in Midtown!
