This was the worst experience ever! I walked in at 9:26 and your employees kicked me out. On Google it’s says you close at 10pm and the doors were open! The security guard anAsian man ask me if I work there? Why? I came to buy water and leave. If they are closed they could have politely let me know. I would have walked out. No issues. The way your employees behaved was very strange!

Most likely the worst location on the island of Manhattan where you could’ve moved to The previous location on third Avenue was pretty bad but this location on first Avenue is actually far far worse. Whatever is that you are buying make sure you add to the cost the parking ticket or maybe even the towing. Good luck.

It was a Great time visiting The Home Depot at 61 St and 1st Ave. What a beautiful store to be in. Everyone of there stuff members are extremely helpful, special the young Lady who helped me and the gentleman at the plumbing department. I was really thrilled with their customers attention.

This is a LONG overdue review. I visited this store in December, if I am not mistaken and I had a pleasant time in the store. The two associates that stood out to me were Elijah(he just started) who was very helpful and kind and Steven who was the same. Thank you for that experience. I am used to being flustered in that store, however, I just had to leave a review. Keep shining!

Had a great experience today with this happy worker (woman, red curly hair , red and orange nails) who took her time and helped me find where the paint is and then with the shades. Makes you want to come back! There was couple there that were back and I overhears she had helped them befor and they were so happy. These workers need some sort of bonus!

Came to this location because they had product on stock. I paid my order and paid extra for a next day delivery. The driver never came, did not call me, and I never heard back from anyone. Just not professional nor acceptable. Awaiting for a refund indeed.

This is not your father’s Home Depot. I was looking for some parquet flooring tiles and went to the appropriate department and asked one of the associates if they had this specific floor tile. He shrugged and said “all our floor tiles are over there”, and pointed. I was trying to avoid aimless searching but failed on that. I looked for 20 minutes and finally gave up and left. Next time I’ll go to Connecticut.

I don’t know what kind of customer service training happens at this Home Depot, but someone needs to bottle it, franchise it, and force-feed it to the rest of NYC. Every single person I interacted with was genuinely helpful, friendly, patient, and—dare I say—pleasant. In New York. I came in stressed, overwhelmed, and clearly mid-DIY spiral, and instead of the usual “good luck, figure it out yourself” energy, I was met with people who actually wanted to help. Special shoutout to Moshin, who deserves a medal, a raise, and possibly his own TED Talk. He went above and beyond—answering questions I didn’t even know how to ask, walking me through options, and somehow making the entire experience feel calm, efficient, and human. Rare. Beautiful. Unheard of. I left with everything I needed and my faith in humanity slightly restored. If you work here: thank you. If you manage here: you’re doing something very right. If you’re NYC customer service elsewhere: take notes. Five stars, no notes. Would absolutely come back—and honestly might just hang out here if I need a reminder that kindness still exists.

Such am amazing selection of plants and at such good prices! I went in looking for a specific plant but then I came out with two new cool plants! Butterfly works in the Plant department and she knew so much! She even helped me tie one of my plants. She was super insightful. generous, and kind! Definitely go here for plants they have a really big collection!

Best homedepot I've ever been. So many staff ready to help. Guy named Michael Rose, cut my lumber and advised me on installing it. He's so thoughtful and nice to me while I'm a complete beginner.

This was my first time shopping at the newer Home Depot in my neighborhood, and wow. I’ve shopped at plenty of Home Depots over the years, but I’ve never experienced customer service like this. Every associate I passed greeted me, wished me a Happy New Year, and genuinely offered help finding what I needed. They even had greeters at every floor off the escalator, which honestly caught me off guard in the best way. I only came in for light bulbs, but I left feeling like I’d just purchased a luxury vehicle. The level of attentiveness, friendliness, and consistency across the store was impressive. Other companies should take notes because this kind of service actually sticks with you. Huge credit to this team for making a simple errand feel like a standout experience. I’ll absolutely be back!

They recently opened at this location. The store is big, clean, well stocked and there is plenty of support on the floor to assist. I hope they retain them. Also love the gardening area!

A home depot in a skyscraper. It's such a wonderful thing. What a big scoop for Lennox Hill. This is just a life saver. You never used to have access to so many things. For the DIY, remodelers, and others who need to get stuff done it's borderline life changing. Most people think of Home Depot for tools and renovations, but don't sleep on what they offer for cleaning, organization, etc. You really can get a million things done in there. And it's big. Really helpful staff too. 10/10.

I was helped by moshin on Saturday. He was very busy helping other people. But he was nice enough to help me right after the other customers. Very patient and looked up the item in another store. He makes going to Home Depot worthwhile as he is a knowledgeable and patient person

Tonight, I walked in to the 61st street location looking for a drill - the exact same one a friend of mine has. I'm not a tool guy and I had questions. I walked up to Juan and showed him a picture of my friend's drill and screws. I'm trying to hang up a curtain in front of my window. He was patient and cool. I chose Ryobi and he helped me pick out the additionals, even going as far as to describe what I would do with them. A friendly customer even came along and reiterated what Juan said. He was doing the same thing. It was a great experience. The corded drill was $64.00. Thank you for being patient.

I was in Home Depot in 61st street New York Store # 6140. I asked two associates one today by the name of Sklylar and last week, Anthony. Both worked in the Customer Service. I requested that they help retrieve my old receipts that I used in the renovation of my Coop. I am pleased to give them a shout out for their patience and thoroughness and going out of their way which reflect Home Depot customer satisfaction service. The two were very commendable. Keep up your wonderful work.

Came in to find a solution to a problem that has been plaguing my partner and I for about a year. We were lucky to find Ari, who was not only helpful and knowledgeable, but he also patiently listened to us and helped us brainstorm solutions to solve our unique situation. If you happen to find Ari on your travels to Home Depot, you’ve lucked out!

Absolutely LOVE this store!!! Everybody I spoke to was very helpful and lovely and I will certainly be coming again!! I would particularly like to thank Melissa, from Jamaica, who had such great vibes and was wonderful to speak to. Keep up the great work, Home Depot, you are truly setting the service bar very high and I couldn’t recommend you more!!!

Came to pick up an order placed online, when I put it my code, the locker popped open but there was nothing inside. They opened all the lockers but couldn't find it. They had to look for my order for 10 minutes. Employees are friendly and helpful otherwise...

Home Depot in New York is a fantastic store for all your home improvement needs. They have a wide selection of tools, paint, plumbing supplies, lighting, and garden products. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with any questions. The store is well-organized, and checkout is usually quick. Whether you're a DIY person or a contractor, this place has everything you need. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful shopping experience I had here ! Each & Every Employee that walked past me asked if I was finding what I needed & did so with a smile . The one that went and above beyond for me in particular was Melissa . She filled me in on the layout and made me aware that HD even has a credit card . I had no idea & good to know . She also went and asked her supervisor about something she wasn’t sure about which meant a lot to me . In addition to Melissa I really loved listening to the guy working the plants section on the afternoon of Sunday June 1st . I didn’t catch his name but he was very educated on all the plant products and I personally witnessed him going out of his to help an elderly shopper who couldn’t seem think of the name of a plant wanted . He was helping more than one person at a time and making sure they all got what they came for . The store was busy but manageable and still seemed to be running smoothly with no long lines . Attached are some pics of some accessible home products I saw while I was there . PS this is a three level store with an Elevator & Escalator so you can easily transition to the next floor . Plenty of room to navigate walkers , wheelchairs and strollers down the aisles . See you again soon Home Depot .?

Great store! This Home Depot feels bigger and with more variety than at the previous location in Lexington and 59th. The store staff were very friendly and very helpful.

1/6/25 I told you guys that I'd return to take more pictures and here they are I hope you like them and the Roosevelt Island tram in the background. One night I decided to go to Home Depot only to find out they moved lol. The old location had closed which was closer to the subway for me. So I hopped in a cab and hustled my butt over there, I was very surprised when I saw the new store. The store was bigger and brighter than the old location and was taller. The old location was located at street level then went down, the new location was the opposite. It too started at street level then went up. The took up every inch of that location and loaded it up with items. The staff was friendly and helpful as they are in all the Manhattan locations as usual. My only gripe is that I couldn't tell self checkout from a cashier registers. I loathe self checkout but loved the new location it even has seats in front of the store for friends to wait or impatient people lol to wait for you. I wish I had taken pics but I may go back and take pictures for you guys.

I can’t say enough good things about the customer service offered at this store. And I look forward to seeing them at their new location on First Avenue. I’ll start with David in the carpet/area rugs department. He goes above and beyond what is expected when it comes to product knowledge and he pairs it with his exceptional customer service skills. Also, supervisor Yanni, is a charming woman who knows? How to run a store and its employees, so that customers have a wonderful shopping experience. This location, in my opinion, has the best customer service compared to the other Home Depot stores that visited in New York City, hands down! I came in for one area rug and left with six, thanks, David! I am very happy and I’m covered for the next five years.

We tried it!!!These kids projects and workshops are free and take place at all Home Depot stores from 9 a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of each month. The projects change each month, so children can attend the ones they are most interested in. Today my 2 year old got to build and paint her very own butterfly house. She had the opportunity to use a real hammer, screwdriver, and was given nails, screws today to help use in her project. We also noticed a boy proudly displaying more than 10 pins on his apron from all the workshops he had attended. I had to get an apron for my daughter and add her very first pin to it. She is excited to wear her apron next time we visit and earn another pin! Overall She had a fun time and was so proud of her work at the end. I would recommend shopping in the store as well as we did afterwards, lots to choose from, clean organized aisles, friendly and helpful staff to assist if needed.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Home Depot in Manhattan, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The location itself is convenient, nestled in the heart of the city, making it easily accessible. The customer service at this Home Depot is outstanding. The staff in Manhattan went above and beyond to assist me, providing valuable insights and helping me navigate the aisles with ease. Their friendly and approachable demeanor truly enhanced my shopping experience. What sets this Home Depot apart is the fantastic team in Manhattan. They not only know their products inside out but also take the time to understand your specific needs, ensuring you find exactly what you're looking for. If you're in Manhattan and in need of home improvement supplies, I highly recommend checking out this Home Depot. It's a one-stop-shop with excellent customer service, making it my go-to destination for all things home improvement.

This is one of my Favorite Home Depots! The Customer Service is so Great in this store! Shaniece is one of the Managers and she was so helpful to me. She stayed with me while I decided what I wanted. She went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Managers like her make me want to come back.
