I just bough a nice wine rack for $14 with 20% off every Tuesday. Nice items and clean. Workers here are friendly. It took me 1 hour on the subway to get here--worth my trip!!!

do not expect real thrift store prices at this location. for example, a men's polo ralph lauren button down goes for about $35. that being said, their items are well-curated and include good brands like theory, DVF, emporio armani, etc. they are also consistently in good condition and support a great cause. shoe selection at this store is also exceptionally good in comparison to other locations - manolo blahnik, ferragamo and jimmy choo are regularly spotted here

Large selection of clothing. Also large selection of housewares. Attentive couteous staff.

I recently donated some books here and the process was quick and smooth. The staff were kind to me throughout.

The staff is always smiling and greeting customers and very professional. Daniela and Derrick and are great asset to this store and make my shopping experience a wonderful one . A new employee Shay is amazing a great asset to the store.

Eye-caching Artwork & Merchandise displayed as you walk-in to Housing Works on 2nd Avenue, definitely gives a good feeling that our donating items would be taking care for customer to shop. Awesome windows displays as well. Highly recommended this location.

This is disgusting, how the hell is a not for profit getting a license to sell weed before a regular joe ! The product is garbage and over priced

25$ used shirts, mostly Ralph Lauren stuff which you can find at any goodwill for 6$, no thanks. Good selection of glasses tho

They’re very selective with what they take for donation, not being clear on the phone with what they take. Staff is not friendly when it comes to donation.

Great Upper East Side thrift shop meanwhile Upper East Side finds: Prada Bags, Brooks Brothers blazer and shirts and other know brands at fantastic prices for a good cause.

Came all the way down there cause Google said they close at 6pm. Had to update it myself cause they close at 5pm.

nice enough items and well-organized, but a very limited selection (it’s a small space, but they could still fit more items). there was one employee in particular who wasn’t very professional (calling out another employee in front of customers and being rude to one customer, both without having all the information).

I finally cleaned out my late husband’s closet (which still after this time was traumatic) and brought the clothing to Housing Works on 64th and 2nd in Manhattan. I had multiple huge bags. When I asked the people standing behind the counter if anyone could help me bring the bags in from the cab in front they all refused. They would not even help bring the bags to the donation area in the back once I had dragged them all in. There was one person in the back who helped with the receipt but other than that they were just incredibly indifferent. I choose Housing Works because it is such a great cause, but it would be nice if the staff was helpful and a little more sensitive to the donors especially since some donations are difficult for a person make.

Really great, high end merchandise from the jewelry to the housewares to the accessories, etc. One of the smaller locations but the staff makes good use of their space. Plus it's a great cause!

Strewn throughout the city, Housing Works is one of the quintessential thrift shops in NY. This location plays like a retail boutique, everything is neatly displayed albeit in a cramped space. Their staff is super friendly and, at the time I was there, super busy. As a luxury buyer this place is perfect. As with every thrift store, you have to dig to find your treasures, but with a little effort, this Housing Works location will make being a green consumer well worth your while. I've read the other reviews which state this place is overpriced, I agree if you are looking at everyday items (they have Gap and Old Navy jeans priced at $20 and $25 respectively), but with designer items (again, you have to dig for them) you can't go wrong here. So far, I have found Hermes and Fendi at this location, and my find of the day was a navy Burberry wool overcoat in pristine condition selling for over 90% off retail. Go to Housing Works, you'll be shopping green, helping the homeless and finding treasure, all at the same time.

whenever i stop in just for a quick peek i end up spending at least 1/2 hour - there are so many sweet and unusual items and the staff is always friendly & helpful
