fantastic store with gorgeous, quirky and diverse dishware collection, along with some other knick knacks. staff is kind and helpful. i will come back to enjoy the in-store experience!

Such a fun shop! Something for everyone at amazing prices, and just a generally fun place to browse and pick up a few gifts.
Mar 04, 2026 -
Cute store to check out. Fun to browse bit nerve wrecking if you got a big purse or bag with all the glass. But fun selection, would definitely love to indulge in dishware there one day. Also enjoyed the weaving in of locate artist works & prints to purchase too.

Fish Eddys is a quirky little store with fun kitchenware from forks, cups, mugs and everything else you may need. It can get a bit pricey but always gives a unique touch. They occasionally have some discounts, last time I got plates for $1!! Such a deal. The staff were nice and store looks well organized and aesthetic. Will definitely be coming back here.

I love this place! So many fun and unique things to see and buy. Friendly staff, too. :)
Jan 03, 2026 -
Such a fun and cute homeware store! If they asked if you want a bag for 25c, take it! You won’t regret it!
Dec 28, 2025 -
Very popular place for both locals and tourists. I love the quality here. I was passing by and bought a skyline oversized mug, which is made in Mexico, very warm and smooth texture. I love it so much I need to come back and get more!

One of my favorite spots in New York City! Feels like it has a little bit of history in the section with older plates ftom previous establishments. It's mixed with new local artists and housewares that are unique to the city. I could get lost in here for hours! The items curated are witty yet classic.

((4.75 stars)) quirky, eclectic dishware, kitchen decor, and more store. located between Union Square and the Flat Iron district, Fishs Eddy is convenient store to pick up items for your home or as a gift. the merchandising and displays (especially the front window ones) are creative and fun—this is reflected in the interior with the selection of creative merchandise and having the fun elements of tchotchke-esque items that have utility. whether it is the glassware or ceramic items—you can add some flair to your kitchen or beyond…all in one store. there’s no bull in this china shop!
Dec 07, 2025 -
If I wasn’t traveling it would be 5 stars for picking up random bits of flatware or side dishes. The local art was nice but pricey which is understandable so that’s why I got some printed postcards instead of original work as I felt bad buying nothing. Staff was inexistent besides at the registers. Fun tchotchke things but nothing to write home about. We took an uber out of our way and were kind of disappointed.

Cute and fun store that my dad loves! Got him a gift card here and had fun perusing! Love the pigeons of the different boroughs and the metro card cards!

If you'd like to browse a variety of tableware and are looking for something special, I highly recommend this place. You'll find pretty and affordable tableware, as well as unique pieces like those from ‘NYC Tableware Shop’. For tourists, these could make great gifts for friends and family back home. You'll find not only premium plates but also interior accessories. The friendly staff will be delighted to welcome you.

I use to shop at the store in 90s, and I loved it! I haven't been there for yrs... Jump to now, every time I enter, and look around, some of the staff are trying to chase me out, and asked me what do I want or what am I doing in the store.. a chubby blondish guy with glasses, a Mexican looking guy, and the cashiers... oh yeah, I'm black American . Also back in the late 80s, and 90s, the merchandise was cheaper, and more interesting. I loved the brown ceramic skillets. Now it's over priced. You can get better dishes at goodwill

didn’t really get the hype. seems quite standard in terms of products and pricing. wouldn’t say the designs were unique or thoughtful.
Aug 08, 2025 -
One of my favorite stores for souvenira and gifts. They have a lot of niche and unique items. I especially liked the coffee cups, and pigeon drawings.
Aug 08, 2025 -
It’s a fun and cute little store but highly overrated. Some of the dinnerware and tableware were cute but definitely not worth the price. I thought I would be able to find a lot of American made products but weirdly not. I did end up buying a couple of dinner plates. If you’re in the neighborhood, sure check it out but wouldn’t recommend making a visit just for this!
Aug 04, 2025 -
Nice little ceramic store in New York. My bags were full hence couldn't buy a lot of stuff but my heart was so full. There were some good offers going in as well. Love their mug collection and the serving bowls. Overall will add a nice vibe to your home.
Aug 02, 2025 -
The staff was really helpful. However, I bought two glass flower shaped mugs there and when I immediately got home and took the price tag sticker off, the paint started to chip off (see picture). Since then the paint has chipped even more. Then a week later, my mom finds the same mugs at a Nordstrom's for half the price! (see picture). I’m really sad about it. I was excited to have found a store with original good quality things but jokes on me/ and you I guess? :(

Fish’s Eddy a stable in NYC since hmm..mid 1980”s. I based this thought on my first experience at the store in search of tableware for my first apartment. Back then it was the place to acquire vintage dinnerware, glassware and anything related kinda sort of. It still holds this vibe throughout the years. Prices are quite reasonable, you may be able to score tableware for 8 at a reasonable price. It worth stopping by, inventory and one of a kind plates are waiting for you. The staff is helpful, bring your imagination and patience. There is a lot to see. Bring the kids, there’s an artist table set up for them to create while you explore.

Bought a tea towel for my friend. Have some really cute and fun prints in their collections, which I really wanted to purchase first but eventually gave up because of its price. They also feature local artists to have portraits for your pets!

Absolutely loved this shop! We saw it in Instagram and went to check while our stay in NYC. A lot of funny and beautiful things for kitchen with amazing designs, prices are reasonable.

Unique home goods store in NYC. I love this place. They’re also have pet portrait custome inside store. Everything is cute, unique and fun
Mar 26, 2025 -
Cute little store for eclectic houseware. My wife and I window shopped and chuckled at the pigeons of new york section. My wife thought lots of the mugs were cute, but we didn’t end up buying anything. A fun shop to just browse around for 5-10min if you’re on the street shopping already. Maybe you’ll find something you like to buy!
Mar 20, 2025 -
Oh my goodness I love this place! Such a fun, unique, quirky home goods store. It was quite busy, but I could have stayed hours looking at all the things. The only bummer is I wanted to buy all the things, but only had a carry on!
Feb 16, 2025 -
I just love this place! Very unique home goods & decor, great colors, quality & design. You can find plates, mugs, glasses, tote bags, postcards, art, prints & anything for your kitchen. They have sections like Dogs & Cats, Pigeons & New York City. Also, I love the signs around the store, all the decor & the vibe! We have a couple of the mugs & bowls with the NYC design. The window display is always fun! All the staff are helpful & super friendly! Definitely recommend stoping by!

Fishs Eddy is one of those classic New York spots where you can find all kinds of cool, quirky stuff—vintage-style dishes, fun kitchen accessories, and plenty of NYC-themed gems. It’s the kind of place locals love, but tourists will get a kick out of too. Plus, the prices are solid, so you can actually walk away with something without feeling ripped off. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the city.
Feb 04, 2025 -
Fishs Eddy is an unique store offers an ever-changing assortment of high-quality plates and kitchenware, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for distinct and artistic pieces. The store is known for its unique art and designs, and the quality of their products is exceptional. Despite the high quality, the prices are surprisingly reasonable, making it a great place to find special items without breaking the bank. While it can get quite crowded on weekends, visiting during the week or in the evening allows for a more relaxed and enjoyable browsing experience.

I had a blast browsing through Fishs Eddy! This place is a treasure trove of unique and quirky home goods and decor items - the kind of place that leaves you wanting to spend all day there. The names of items are funny, and they have an incredible selection of plates, cups, bowls and also have a section for pet posters. Definetely recommend stopping here if in the flatiron area. Wouldn't necessarily say this is kid friendly with all the narrow spaces to navigate through - and neither would it be wheelchair friendly.
Aug 21, 2024 -
The store carries numerous exclusively amusing and unusually quirky kitchen/dish wares that are rare to find in NY, but they’re reasonably priced. By looking at them, some of Fishs Eddy’s items made me laugh. A fun place that had made my day and it’s totally worth a visit if you swing by the Flatiron district in Manhattan. 😆
Jul 09, 2024 -
You can’t help but love Fish’s Eddy. They have a ton of reasonably priced plates, glasses, servingware, and other kitchen/serving wares. They offer a ton of cute, New York themed items as well as random kitsch that you probably didn’t know you needed, like rubber glove molds. But to me, the best part of the store is the sense of humor that is imbued into the displays. The signs are absolutely fantastic, and will not fail to bring a smile to your face. Make sure to take a look for them as you browse! My favorite mug and gift of all time is from here- it says “good morning as*hole” in a lovely script with a bird. Perhaps they will consider this an official request to bring that line back, because it was fantastic and I keep finding new people I wish I could buy one for. Come and browse and enjoy even if you don’t need dishes!
