During a family trip, I purchased Iron Range 8111 boots and made a second visit to the store to buy additional care products. The kindness of the female employee who spoke a little Korean was exceptional; she deserves an award and a promotion from Red Wing headquarters. Otherwise, the company is missing out on a great opportunity for further growth. The customer service was so impressive that I wanted to visit again. I'm grateful for the wonderful shoes and excellent shoe care service, and I'm especially thankful for the warmth of the female employee on my last day in very, very cold New York, which made my memories of New York even more beautiful. I'm a big Red Wing fan and own more than 10 pairs. This winter, I bought my wife a Porter Moc 3498 and I'm totally disappointed with the sole. Despite the deep tread, it's extremely slippery in the snow with no grip. A slightly heavier Vibram sole would be better than this light, soft rubber sole.

The store is conveniently located near the PATH, which made it an easy stop for me. I went in looking to buy a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers, and the staff was friendly and very helpful throughout the process. They used the Volumental state-of-the-art foot scanning technology to confirm my size, which gave me a lot of confidence in the fit. The store wasn’t very busy since it was close to closing on a weekday, so I had plenty of time to look around and ask questions. There’s a great selection of heritage boots, everything fit well, and overall it was a smooth, positive buying experience.

Edit: Stephanie from Red Wing helped me exchange the smaller size to one which fits me better, even outside the official return policy. That's just brilliant customer service and I'm very grateful. I'm happy with the shoes and service, and the review rating has been adjusted accordingly. Original review: I'll say the staff in the store were very friendly, as well as the chap I spoke with over the phone. Well laid out store with a wide selection as well. Unfortunately, they fitted me in shoes that are absolutely too small. I was scanned by the Volumental scanner in the store, and the sales associate was emphatic that I should get the size he recommended (the online tool says I should go up a size). Boots are not something I buy often, and having listened to their advice I can say the sizing was way off after a few days of wearing. I've never had my feet hurt 2 days after I took the shoes off. I called to ask the store if they can offer a discount on a new pair in a different size, as having worn the shoes I cannot return them so need to buy another pair. Unfortunately they won't offer any concession, despite my sizing misfortune being due to their recommendation. It is what it is, but a sour taste in my mouth nonetheless. Caveat emptor - trust your own sizing over the sales associates.

As a construction worker, I once bought my first pair for the quality of the boots I would never change them. Very good service, and I appreciate the patience of the guy who assisted me very kind and professional. Thank you, Ariel, for your attention and help, but above all for your patience.

I had a really nice customer service experience with Zenni when I called to ask for help with sizing. They were really patient, taking the time to troubleshoot my issue and even being proactive about ways to help other customers avoid the same confusion in the future. I haven’t bought the shoes yet, but I’m sure when I go in the store, I will have a good experience, if the rest of the staff is as helpful as Zenni :) .

I bought my fourth pair of Red Wings at this store. The atmosphere was amazing, the boot display was perfect, and the sales assistant was incredibly kind and helpful! Highly recommended!

Needed work boots in a pinch. Found this store close by to work. First pair of red wings and honestly they are living up to the hype. They used some advanced imaging to confirm my shoe size and it turns out my feet vary by half a size from left to right. Interestingly enough that’s not a problem because they allow you to customize and buy different size shoes specific to your feet. The person helping me was extremely helpful and I left with a perfect fitting pair of work boots.

I have wide and flat feet. It takes me great effort to find shoes that git comfortably. My feet were measured, size and style recommended and multiple pairs brought to me to try. I didn't feel rushed or pressured. I took my time and with the assistance of the sales person was able to fune a pair of boots that were comfortable and should last a lifetime.

I love the brand and bought lots of items at their stores in Europe . I was waiting to get to the store in New York , the variety wasn’t that big but I still got myself the weekender chukka . Just to note that I got used to very high customer service in Berlin and Amsterdam, the service in New York is not that great comparing to the others , sorry guys but the staff around Europe feels much more committed to the brand and especially to their customers

I visited Red Wing to buy work boots. The staff was professional and friendly, asking questions about the purpose of the boots. I was pleasantly surprised that one of the staff members spoke Korean. It was really nice meeting them!

Our experience at the Red Wing store in Manhattan was super disappointing. My wife found a pair of boots she liked, priced at $150, and decided to buy them. At the counter, the sales rep and cashier, Emily, asked if she was interested in purchasing a leather wax with the boots, to which my wife clearly replied, "No." When we went to pay, the total came to $175, which immediately seemed off. When we questioned why the price was so high, Emily casually said it was "the tax". Knowing the local sales tax is 8.9%, we pressed further, and only then did Emily take the wax out of the box and say, "You wanted the wax as well, right?". It was obvious she had deliberately slipped the wax into the purchase, assuming we wouldn't notice or question the charge—likely because she thought we were tourists and didn't know the exact sales tax. We are never going back again.

I went the red wing on Sunday November 10 with intention of getting work boots and I did. After wearing the for a week they've been great, comfortable, keep my feet dry. Let's not forget, the service was amazing, wellington helped find the perfect fit and was very respectful. I will be making my future purchases here, since it is worth the money, you do spend most of the day in shoes, so make sure they're comfortable and these are.

I had the absolute best experience at the Red Wings store, thanks to Wellington! He was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, lacing up and explaining the differences between at least 9 pairs of shoes for me. Even though I was there for over an hour, he kept checking in to make sure I had no questions. I initially planned to buy 1 or 2 pairs but ended up leaving with 5—3 for myself and 2 for my family! It was a 10/10 experience, and I highly recommend visiting this store for top-notch service.

First visit to this store from Chicago. The staff here are so nice and professional. They don’t bother you and are ready to help if you have any questions. The store is clean and kept up. There’s a wide selection of boots that I doubt people in nyc even use because they are more into boots for style. But hey! That’s me! I’m people.

They didn't have my size/color available in store, but the sales associate AP was so helpful in getting me my perfect fit! I was able to have my feet scanned, try on several models in different widths, all combined with different insoles. He explained to me thoroughly the differences between everything and helped me understand what I needed in my boots. Even though I didn't make a purchase today, I left knowing exactly what I need to order online! Couldn't have been a better experience!

Came here after poor results ordering online. Great service. Staff courteous and knowledgeable. Imaged my arches for insoles. Suggested and tried 10 pairs. They don’t only carry $$$$ Red Wings. They have lower priced options. They carry tactical and hiking styles. Very happy with the Irish Setters I got. UPDATE: One year later, worn daily, boots and laces 100%. More comfortable than ever. Nice pop up shop for Red Wing. The staff was helpful, polite and patient. You need this when purchasing these boots fo the first time. Nick is the man he reconditioned my Roughneck boots and recommended inserts to make my feet comfortable. I hardly wore my boots before, now i'll wear them more often.

One of the best quality boots which are also at a moderately affordable price, and a large selection to choose from. Definitely recommend them for any one looking for boots which are comfortable, work great and also look good. Amazing customer service, they measure your foot and find out the pressure patterns before suggesting the correct fit for the feet. Greg was super helpful and answered all the questions I had.!
